NATIVE AMERICANS BEFORE THE MISSIONARIES WENT THERE WERE ORIENTED TO HELL SINCE VATICAN COUNCIL II INDICATES CATHOLIC FAITH AND THE BAPTISM OF WATER IS THE ORDINARY WAY OF SALVATION

Last Tuesday night at the bus stop I was talking to an American religious brother with the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate who was here from England for a 10 day retreat with a contemplative branch of their community. He was on his way to the community house and seminary in Boccea, Rome.

This was the second time when a religious, said that the Native Americans before the missionaries went to them were all in invincible ignorance and so saved.

This would mean that being saved in invincible ignorance is the ordinary means of salvation instead of Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (LG 14, AG 7).

For Catholics the ordinary means of salvation is Catholic Faith and the baptism of water. So the Native Americans before the arrival of the missionaries were all oriented to Hell. They died with Original Sin and mortal sins committed in that state.

De facto they were all oriented to Hell and if there were exceptions like those in genuine invincible ignorance etc  it would be known only to God.

The Franciscan Friar of the Immaculate said the ordinary means of salvation includes those saved in invincible ignorance.

This would be contrary to the Principle of Non Contradiction.

Either being saved in invincible ignorance in general is the ordinary means of salvation or Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary means of salvation.

So according to Vatican Council II and the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus the Native Americans were all lost to Hell.

SEMINARIAN OF THE FRANCISCAN FRIARS OF THE IMMACULATE EXPRESSES FORMATION

Its a mortal sin to deny the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It is a sacrilege to receive the Eucharist in this condition- Fr. Gabrielle, priest of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate
