Two students graduate at IHM School : privileged to have a good Catholic education

At the Immaculate Heart of Mary High School, two students Angela and Joseph have graduated. The rural school in Richmond,New Hampshire, USA affirms the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The school is managed by the community the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
If only I was so lucky!. They are fortunate since they were correctly taught the Catholic doctrine on outside the Church there is no salvation.

When I was a kid I was taught correct Catholic doctrine but when I went to school ( 1960's) and then college I was taught something different.

I was told that every one does not need to enter the Church defacto since there are known exceptions.I accepted this. This was the view during religion classes and it was the view of the priests whom I knew. The Church no more held the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus was the general opinion.Angela and Joseph are fortunate.

Now, I know that there is nothing in Vatican Council II which contradicts extra ecclesiam nulla salus.Instead the Council supports the dogma in Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation.

At  Catholic schools all over the world however they are teaching an error on this subject and even Catholic traditionalists are now aware of it.Of course they do know that the dogma is not being taught and they criticize Vatican Council II not knowing that it is a false premise, an irrational inference which was used in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949.

Brother Andre Marie MICM, the Prior of the community in his Introductory Talk at the graduation said something very interesting:

The fourth-century Bishop of Barcelona and Father of the Church, Saint Pacian, famously wrote these words in his first Epistle to Sympronian: Christianus mihi nomen est, catholicus vero cognomen — “Christian is my name; Catholic is my surname.” (“Surname,” is the equivalent to our “family name,” or “last name.”) In the context, Saint Pacian was defending the use of the word, “Catholic,” to distinguish orthodox Christians from the adherents of the many heresies of the day. After saying, “Christian is my name; Catholic is my surname,” he goes on: “The former gives me a name, the latter distinguishes me. By the one I am approved; by the other I am but marked.”
I quote Saint Pacian for a reason, which I will summarize in one word: Identity. As fundamental essences and natures of things are being denied more and more in our time, our dear graduates, Angela and Joseph find themselves entering a world whose denizens are increasingly on a quest for an identity. Supported by the latest in revolutionary music, whose message is often “your parents do not understand you because you are way too complex and beyond what they ever were,” a host of corresponding revolutionary identities present themselves like so many garments to put on.
Angela and Joseph may choose one of the identities that the world, the flesh, and the devil have crafted for them. They can be goths, punks, emos, or metal heads. If they do not fit into those, they might try on nerd or geek — labels that have amazingly survived to this day from my own adolescent years. They may assume the identity of any number of morally or ideologically aberrant collectives, who vie with one another for first place in the arena of victim status. They could associate themselves with one of the many genres, sub-genres, or sub-sub-genres of music, dress, body piercing patterns or makeup applications that will give them an identity — all of them generally bad.
smtSister Marie Thérèse, M.I.C.M  said ' Our Blessed Mother has given us another “father” in her school. Brad Grinstead is one of our instructors and the father of one of our dear families. Professor Brad Grinstead has taught and mentored at IHM for close to 10 years. He will be taking on more of a father role in Our Lady’s school this upcoming year. Yes, he will now bear the dual title and responsibilities of Principal of the Upper School and Headmaster of IHM school. As such he will be a father figure within Our Lady’s School guiding, protecting and providing for all of the teachers and students of Our Lady’s School, like another St. Joseph.'
Angela and Joseph have been fortunate to have the Catholic Faith taught correctly to them.
The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary manages the St.Augustine Institute(SAI) for those who want to learn the Catholic Faith on line.
