Fr John Hunwicke on SSPX and Unity 1 has blocked my comments including this relevant one. 2
How can there be doctrinal unity among us Catholics when Fr.Hunwicke, to remain a priest in good standing, has to use an irrational ecclesiology?
Like the FSSP 3 he has to change Catholic teachings on family catechesis and religous education to 'keep his job'.He has compromised and he wants the SSPX to do the same in the name of 'unity'.
I would like the SSPX to come into the Church but not the way the Vatican and Fr.Hunwicke would want it .In fact the SSPX should reject this version of Vatican Council II , with the irrational premise and conclusion.
The SSPX still has a choice.Their priests are not under the Vatican and the Vicariate in Rome.
1.The SSPX needs to identify the premise and inference used in Magisterial documents like Dominus Iesus, Redemptoris Missio, Catechism of the Catholic Church 1257.Inform the Vatican and every one about it.
2.They need to show the Vatican that Vatican Council II can also be interpreted with or without the premise. There is a choice. It is the premise and inference which decides the hermeneutic of continuty or rupture.
3.They need to ask the Vatican if the CDF /Vatican Curia are willling to accept Vatican Council II without the irrational premise and inference, which would result in a traditional ecclesiology. So the onus for a reconciliation is with the CDF and not the SSPX.
If the CDF affirms Vatican Council II without the premise and inference then they are endorsing the SSPX's traditional position on members of other religions needing to convert into the Church for salvation (AG 7) and an ecumenism of return (AG 7). Vatican Council II would also not contradict the traditional interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the strict interpretation.
I wrote before:
The 'mainstream' Church has to begin the reconciliation process with doctrinal truth. They have to admit that there are no exceptions to the centuries old interpretation of the dogma EENS, on March 19,2015. Fr.John (Hunwicke) could help them by making an announcement on his blog saying ' We Catholics do not know of any exception to the centuries old interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. So there cannot be an exception, in Vatican Council II to EENS'. From here there can be a process of reconciliation.
Can Fr.John make this rational statement on his blog?!
Apparently Fr.Hunwicke is not willling to do so.He is not willing to make the rational statement.
He cannot say, 'We Catholics do not know of any exception to the centuries old interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. So there cannot be an exception, in Vatican Council II to EENS'.
His superiors in the Ordinariate, the English bishops would not be willing to say this.So his position remains that of the liberals and leftists on this issue.
As a liberal he is calling upon the SSPX for a unity with heresy and an irrational ecclesiology just as he is obligated to be united with this error to keep his career.
How can the Episcopal Conference accept Vatican Council II interpreted in line with the strict interpretation of the dogma EENS ? This is unthinkable in leftist England.
_______________
The priest in the Ordinariate is obligated to interpret Vatican Council II with an irrationality. Otherwise he will lose his canonical status. The same would apply to Fr. John.

Fr.John Hunwicke also gains when he does not affirm the strict interpretation of the dogma EENS. This is accepted by the Left within and without the Church.

Yes there should be a reconciliation but this is not possible since the 'mainstream' Church is following the political left. This is the doctrinal position of the Vatican Curia. It is also that of Fr.John.

The Ordinariates are interpreting Vatican Council II as a break with the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This would be expected of the SSPX too. The premise used is irrational and there is no correction coming from the Holy See.There are many reports on this issue on the Internet. It is being ignored by the Vatican. They are not saying that there cannot be any exception mentioned in Vatican Council II to the 'rigorist interpretation' of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
So Fr.John Hunwicke is really affirming a liberal, heretical position on this issue and this is pleasing to the political Left.He wants the SSPX to condone the leftist interpretation of the Council, for unity, just as he did.
