Scholasticum is another liberal Catholic theological institute in Italy with a traditionalist veneer

The Scholasticum is another liberal Catholic theological institute in Italy with a traditionalist veneer. On the faculty is Dr.Gianluca Pilara 1 a professor of Patrology at l’Istituto Patristico Augustinianum di Roma (Augustinianum) and an instructor in Church History at the Pontificia Università S. Tommaso d’Aquino(Angelicum).
Pilara-photoHe uses Cushingism as a theology to keep his position at the two pontifical universities in Rome.He interprets the Patristic teachings and St. Thomas Aquinas assuming there are known exceptions to traditional salvation theology. So he replaces exclusivist ecclesiology with a vague Christology, it is Jesus without the necessity of formal membership in the Catholic Church, for salvation.
According to the Scholasticum introduction:
The Scholasticum is a Post-Graduate Institute for the study of Scholastic Theology and Philosophy, with offices at Rome and Bagnoregio  dedicated to the promotion of the greater appreciation and understanding of Medieval Theology and Philosophy as it was taught at the University of Paris in the mid 13th century. For that purpose, the Scholasticum focuses its attention on three fields of study, Medieval Philosophy, Medieval Biblical Studies and Scholastic Theology.2

In the mid 13th century Feeneyism and not Cushingism was the theology; the only magisterial theology. There was no explicit for us baptism of desire, there were no objectively known cases of the being saved in invincible ignorance, without the baptism of water. This came into the Church with the approval of Cardinal Gibbons and the Baltimore Catechism and Cardinal Richard Cushing in the Fr. Leonard Feeney, Boston Case.
Click to download PDF fileNo one on the Scholasticum Administration or Faculty has the ability to affirm extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS)  according to the 13th and 14th century Catholic Church.

To get recognition from the Catholic Church and the Italian civil authorities  they have compromised the Faith. They have denied the Good News by choosing a vague Christology instead of an exclusivist ecclesiology, based on Jesus  and the Catholic Church, His Mystical Body.

They have altered the Nicene Creed with a fantasy theology. Instead of " I believe in one (known) baptism for the forgiveness of sins" it is ," I believe in three or more known baptisms for the forgiveness of sins. They exclude the baptism of water and they are the baptism of desire, blood, being saved in invincible ignorance, seeds of the Word, imperfect communion with the Church, elements of sanctification and truth in other religions etc". It is " I believe in the Anonymous Christian theology instead of traditional Feeneyite theology".
What does the Scholasticum care about the Good News, Proclamation or Evangelisation ?. In the name of obedience they will even affirm heresy these days.Obedience often means receiving a comfortable lifestyle  and career, as a religious professor or a lay person.

It means not having to proclaim the obvious. There was a mistake in the second part of the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 which created the new Cushingite theology. This is not being acknowledged by the Registrar, Bro.Alexis Bugnolo and the faculty of the Scholasticum.

So like the Angelicum, Gregorian and Anthonianum pontifical universities in Rome, the Scholasticum faculty re-interpret St.Thomas Acquinas with Cushingism, which says there are known exceptions to traditional salvation theology.
So traditional Scholasticism, which is associated with the Traditional Latin Mass, is rejected by the Cushingite innovation. So there is the Traditional Latin Mass, at the Scholasticum, but with the new ecclesiology, based on known exceptions to the dogma EENS.

How can there be known exceptions, to EENS, unless they are using philophical subjectivism and Protestant situation ethics?
Who among us could have know if St. Emerentiana went to Heaven without the baptism of water? Who saw St. Victor saved with the baptism of desire or some form of baptism which excluded the baptism of water?

Yet the Catholic professors at the Scholasticum have to hold on to this irrationality to keep their job; to maintain the mandatum from the bishop, to teach theology.
Bro.Alexis Bugnolo on Twitter, has been critical of Pope Francis  and he has supported the sedevacantists and this  may have not been a monetary or political threat. However he will not support Feeneyism as a theology, on which is based the teaching on the Social Kingship of Christ the King over all political legislation. He is not different from other traditionalist bloggers.Their priority is not Catholic teaching but preserving their blogs and material interests.

Scholasticum will maintain the liberal theology approved by the Church i.e Cushingism:In this way they could be recognised by the Catholic Church and Italian civil authorities
