You must have missed my post to you yesterday.
One can choose the Feeneyite theology, which is the traditional theology of the saints and popes, and also attend the Novus Ordo Mass. This is what I do.
Perhaps you could enlighten me, Cushy?
Can you briefly, systemetically and concisely answer the following question? Is there absolutely no salvation outside of the visible Catholic Church?
Yes since the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus says so. It is based on John 3:5 and Mark 16:16 etc.
If true, can you demonstrate how some peasant and his family living in upper Mongolia or Yemen or Somalia or Afghanistan who lived hundreds of years ago, who never heard the name of Jesus the Christ even mentioned, would have no possibility of salvation and be damned for all eternity?
Can you first name me the peasant and tell me who is he ,where he lives with a few details? In this way it will be a concrete case.
Show how these individuals must be damned and justify your conclusion in light of the Divine Mercy of God?
In general they will be damned without faith and baptism at the time of death.Presently they are not damned as long as they live. There is still hope.
God's Mercy offers salvation for all, in potential salvation is available for all however to receive this salvation all need to enter the Catholic Church ( Dominus Iesus 20), all need to have faith and baptism ( Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II). Those who choose to enter the Catholic Church formally have availed of God's Divine Mercy.
Those who do not will be damned( Catechism of the Catholic Church 845,846,1257).
All Jews,Orthodox Christians, Protestants and other non Catholics are oriented to the fires of Hell unless they do not enter the Catholic Church before death( Cantate Dominio, Council of Florence 1441,Vatican Council II AG7, LG 14, Catechism of the Catholic Church 1257, Dominius Iesus 20,CDF Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J etc)-Lionel Andrades
