English bishops reject doctrine on salvation and pastorally implement the heresy.No denial from them : they will deny that in principle they support euthanasia or giving the Eucharist to the divorced and remarried but not on salvation theology

So Cardinal Vince Nicols and the British bishops are denying the traditional teaching on salvation by using a false premise and they are doing this with doctrine and practice.They do not deny that they are also rejecting doctrine.

Like the Letter of the Holy Office 1949(LOHO) and the Council Fathers at Vatican Council II(1965), they assume invisible cases of non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance(LG 16), the baptism of desire(LG 14) etc are visible exceptions to the traditional interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS). So this was an objective mistake in 1949 and 1965 which they are repeating.

Secondly, I affirm Vatican Council II and the first part of the Letter of the Holy Office without having to reject the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.They could do the same if they want.

But they do not want to.

They want to interpret the LOHO and Vatican Council II with references to hypothetical cases (LG 8, LG 14, LG 16 etc) being considered real people in the present times saved outside the Church.In this way there is a rupture with traditional salvation theology.The new teaching is that there is salvation outside the Church instead of no salvation outside the Church.

So see the difference. With moral theology the English bishops say that they affirm doctrine while in reality they change it and call it pastoral.In salvation theology they do not say that they affirm doctrine( they reject EENS) and in reality, with the New Ecumenism, New Evangelisation and New Theology they reject it.

According to Canon Law an English bishop must affirm the traditional moral and salvation theology of the Catholic Church.They must not use irrational innovations to make changes or to reject them completely.The English bishops are openly rejecting doctrine on salvation and pastorally implement the heresy.

If Cardinal Vince Nicols is told that he supported euthanasia in the killing of Alfie Evans he would deny it. He would say that he opposed euthanasia it is a mortal sin.So doctrinally he would deny the charge.But if he is told that he rejects the old exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church and extra ecclesiam nulla salus, while other Catholics affirm it without rejecting Vatican Council II- he would agree.He would not deny it.-Lionel Andrades
