Cardinal Burke and Pope Francis show us that there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II : one is a continuity with EENS and the other is a rupture

Cardinal Burke and Pope Francis show us that there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II.
Neither of the two are rejecting Vatican Council II.
Yet for one the Council is a rupture with Tradition and for the other it is a continuity.
For the two popes and Cardinal Ladaria,Lumen Gentium 8 would be a rupture with the the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) as it was known to the missionaries in the 16th century but for Cardinal Burke it would not be a rupture.
So for the two popes Orthodox Christians and Protestants can remain in their religions but for Cardinal Burke their religions are false and so they need to convert to avoid Hell.
For the two popes and Cardinal Ladaria there would theologically be no reason for Mission since there is known salvation outside the Church and the dogma EENS has become obsolete. Cardinal Burke calls for a constant evangelisation.-Lionel Andrades
