Meeting needed between Ecclesia Dei/CDF, SSPX,CMRI and others: all agree that the baptism of desire is not an exception to extra ecclesiam nulla salus
The Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF),Vatican Cardinal Luiz Ladaria S.J could begin a dialogue with the traditionalists and sedevacantists so that there can be unity in the Church. Or may be Archbishop Augustine di Noia at Ecclesia Dei, Vatican could organise this meeting.
Initially they can all agree that we humans cannot physically see any one on earth, who is now saved with the baptism of desire( implicit desire of a catechuman, for the baptism of water, before he died and could not receive it). They can agree that to assume that these cases are known to us and are explicit exceptions in 2014 to extra ecclesiam nulla salusis irrational.
This is the beginning. This is the first step.
It is common knowledge that the deceased saved with implicit desire/baptism of desire (with or without the baptism of water) are not physically known to us in 2014 to be explicit exceptions toextra ecclesiam nulla salus. So it would be easy to have an agreement with the SSPX, CMRI and others on this point.
Then may be after three months at another meeting ; an intra Catholic dialogue, they could agree that there is nothing in Vatican Council II to contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
They can also agree that Vatican Council II is being accepted (1)with exceptions to extra ecclesiam nulla salus and (2)without exceptions toextra ecclesiam nulla salus. There is a choice. They are all using an irrationality ( false premise, of the dead being visible) in the interpretation of Vatican Council II and so there are exceptions. I am not using this false premise.
Finally before an agreement is reached they can all ask the CDF to affirm Vatican Council II without the false premise. This is a simple way towards reconciliation.
It is demanded of the SSPX to accept Vatican Council II . Fine. The SSPX can accept Vatican Council II without the false premise and still hold to the traditional Catholic teachings.-Lionel Andrades
