The Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) could not object to the presence of Bishop Charles Morerod O.P at talks, since they too assume that we can telephone or meet non Catholics saved in these extra ordinary circumstances.

The former Rector of the Angelicum University, Rome has been appointed a bishop in Switzerland. He is also the Secretary of the International Theological Commission, the Pontifical Commission in Rome.

Bishop Charles Morerod, the new bishop of the Diocese of Lausanne,Switzerland is the former Rector of the Angelicum University and was a Professor of Dogmatic Theology .He was the moderator of a thesis by an Italian diocesan priest Fr.Francesco Giordano. The subject of Fr.Giordano’s thesis was extra ecclesiam nulla salus. He was granted a Licentiate while assuming that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are known explicitly to us and so they are an exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The dogma says all need to convert into the Church for salvation and does not mention any exceptions. Fr.Giordano is working for a doctorate on the same subject at the Opus Dei University in Rome, the Holy Cross Seminary.

For invincible ignorance etc to be an exception it would mean that these cases are known to us and we could even telephone or meet them.

In 2008 Cardinal Luis Ladaria Ferrer was appointed Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.In 2009 he resigned and was succeeded by Fr.Charles Morerod who is presently the Rector Magnificus of the Angelicum.The announcement of a new Rector at the Angelicum, the University of St.Thoams Aquinas,Rome is awaited.

The Italian diocesan priest Fr. Francesco Giordano studying at the Holy Cross University, Rome and working for his doctorate on the subject of extra ecclesiam nulla salus says he affirms the dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441.The ex cathedra dogma says all non Catholics, specifying, Jews, Protestants and Orthodox Christians, need to formally enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell, which has fire.

Fr. Giordano received his Licentiate from the University of St. Thomas Aquinas, Rome and the subject of his thesis there was outside the church there is no salvation. His moderator was Fr.Charles Morerod O.P.

The SSPX/FSSP also hold to the same errors as the liberals at the Aneglicum University, Rome. So no one objected to the doctrinal errors of the Vatican team which included Bishop Morerod.

How can a Catholic bishop not affirm in public an ex cathedra dogma and still offer Holy Mass ?

Italian school children are taught errors in their science class regarding Galileo

Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler would show that Galileos mathematics was wrong the earth moves in an elliptical orbit and not a circle.

The same socialist propaganda on Galileo is now also being taught in the secular schools in Rome. Last week I overheard a school girl memorizing the trial of Galileo. She was in the public bus along with other school children that morning.

The political left do not want school children to know that at the time of Galileo it was known that the earth circled around the sun. This was the Copernicus theory. The early astronomers were priests and bishops and the science of astronomy was persevered in Catholic monasteries.

If the Church had accepted Galileos mathematics and theory they would have been proved wrong at the time of Kepler and Brahe.

Later science would discover that man is still the centre of the universe. According to quantum physics, the study of the sub atomic level of matter, it is consciousness which decides an experiment. Light is a wave or a particle depending on the consciousness of the experimenter.Man is still at the centre of the universe in modern physics.

Galileo could have assumed that Scripture was wrong since at his time the findings of modern physics and the use of better telescopes was not available.

Galileo was an Italian teacher of mathematics and could not prove heliocentrism mathematically. The Catholic priest Copernicus had already given the world his heliocentric model of the universe.That the earth moves around the sun was not a discovery of Galileo.This was not a discovery of Galileo as the children are taught here and which the media repeats often.

Similarly there is no evidence for evolution which is being taught in schools here as if it is a scientific finding. I could postulate that the ape has evolved from man, a degenerate species, and no evolutionist could prove me wrong.

Elements of the one true Church could exist outside the visible boundaries of the Catholic Church and they would be known only to God. So Lumen 8 is not an exception to the dogma outside the church no salvation. Instead Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7 and Lumen Gentium 14 ) agree with Lumen Gentium 8 (subsistit it).It says that Catholic faith and the baptism of water are needed by all for salvation (to avoid Hell). Lumen Gentium 8 is not contradicted by Lumen Gentium 16 (invincible ignorance/good conscience) since these cases are unknown to us in the present times.So the true Church of Christ is the Catholic Church and all need to enter it for salvation and there are no defacto exceptions known to us.

Fr.Karl Becker participated in the recent talks between the SSPX /FSSP and the Vatican in which most, if not all the participants assumed that those saved in invincible ignorance, the baptism of desire, good conscience, the seeds of the Word, elements of sanctification and in imperfect communion are explicitly known to us in particular cases. Radici Cristiane is the first Italian magazine which has said clearly that the Catholic Church has not changed the literal meaning of extra ecclesiam nulla salus and it affirms the possibility of non-Catholic’s being saved in invincible ignorance, the baptism of desire etc which are not exceptions to the dogma.

Radici Cristiane of Roberto dei Mattei also indicates that Vatican Council II (LG 14) affirms the dogma which says everyone needs to convert into the Church for salvation.

The report by the Italian apologist Corrado Gnerre affirms ‘the rigorist’, literal interpretation of the thrice-defined dogma. He cites Pope Pius XII saying that this ‘dogma’ is an ‘infallible’ teaching which will always be taught as Christ commanded. (Letter of the Holy Office 1949).

The English edition of Christo al Mondo (Christ to the World) has also published a report a few years back which said the Church has not retracted the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Christ to the World is published from Rome by the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate.

A priest from this community said in a homily, on the feast day of the Baptism of Our Lord, that the ordinary means of salvation is the Catholic Church (Redemptoris Missio 55) and that practically we can never know cases of non Catholics saved with the baptism of desire etc.

The secular media causes confusion by assuming Lumen Gentium 16 (invincible ignorance/good conscience) are exceptions to the dogma. They assume that these exceptional cases are known to God and also to us humans.

Question :Is Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus still valid?

I am an elderly woman ,more than 80 years. When I learnt the Catechism I remember it said outside the Church there is no salvation. Now it seems that no one asserts such a thing. Is the doctrine changed? But if indeed it is changed, who says that what is asserted today is true as compared to what was asserted in my times? Help me to understand (Maria Gabriella, Teramo)

Dear Maria Gabriella stay assured.The Catholic doctrine is not changed at all. Rather for a long time, even in Catholic circles, there has been a relativistic mentality (all religions are good).Extra ecclesiam nulla salus is an incontestable truth of the Catholic Faith, it is because it has been continuously repeated from the Church Fathers to the Magisterium.One could provide many examples. I cite Pope Pius XII who says:

Now, among those things which the Church has always preached and will never cease to preach is contained also that infallible statement by which we are taught that there is no salvation outside the Church.(Letter of the Holy Office 8/11/1949)

Domanda: Sono una donna molto anziana (ho più di ottant’anni). Quando feci il catechismo ricordo che si diceva che al di fuori della Chiesa non vi è possibilità di salvezza. Ora sembra che nessuno più affermi una tal cosa. È cambiata la dottrina? Ma se è davvero cambiata, chi ci dice che ciò che si afferma oggi sia più vero rispetto a ciò che si affermava ai miei tempi? Aiutatemi a capire. (Maria Gabriella, Teramo)

Gentile Maria Gabriella, stia tranquilla. La dottrina cattolica non è affatto cambiata. Piuttosto si è da tempo diffusa, anche all’interno degli ambienti cattolici, una mentalità di tipo relativista (tutte le religioni sono buone).

L’Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus è un’incontestabile verità di fede, è lo è perché è stata continuamente ripetuta dai Padri e dal Magistero. Di esempi se ne potrebbero fare tanti. Le cito Pio XII che dice: «Ora tra le cose che la Chiesa ha sempre predicate e che non cesserà mai dall’insegnare, vi è pure questa infallibile dichiarazione che dice che non vi è salvezza fuori della Chiesa» (Lettera al Sant’Officio, dell’8/11/1949). Queste parole sono importanti perché un papa dice chiaramente che la verità dell’Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus non solo sarà sempre insegnata ma è anche una dichiarazione infallibile.

Il Beato Giovanni XXIII, il Papa del Concilio Vaticano II, dice: «(…) gli uomini possono sicuramente raggiungere la salvezza, solamente quando sono a lui [il Romano Pontefice] congiunti, poiché il Romano Pontefice è il Vicario di Cristo e rappresenta in terra la sua persona» (Omelia nel giorno della sua incoronazione, 4/11/1958). E lo stesso Concilio Vaticano II afferma: «Il santo Concilio (…) basandosi sulla sacra Scrittura e sulla Tradizione, insegna che questa Chiesa peregrinante è necessaria alla salvezza» (Lumen gentium, 14).

Poi, cara lettrice – diciamolo francamente – è un problema di logica. Se la Chiesa non fosse necessaria per la salvezza, quale sarebbe il motivo per cui Gesù ha comandato di andare fino agli estremi confini della Terra? (Mt. 16,15-16).

Rimane però una domanda: ma chi si trova senza colpa personale fuori della Chiesa, può, per questo, essere condannato? La Chiesa Cattolica da sempre (non è una novità degli ultimi tempi) ha affermato che chi si trova fuori della Chiesa senza colpa, non può, per questo, essere condannato.

S’ipotizzano due possibili “ignoranze”: la cosiddetta “dotta ignoranza” e la cosiddetta “ignoranza invincibile”. Per dotta ignoranza (significativa contraddizione: “dotta”/“ignoranza”) s’intende quella situazione in cui non si è mai ricevuto l’annuncio cristiano, per cui si è in uno stato d’ignoranza incolpevole, ma nello stesso tempo si desidera intimamente (ecco perché si parla d’ignoranza “dotta”) aderire alla Verità che purtroppo non si conosce.

Per ignoranza invincibile s’intende invece quella situazione in cui si è ricevuto l’annuncio cristiano, ma lo stato d’ignoranza è tale (invincibile appunto) che non si può superare. Il beato Papa Pio IX, un papa non certo del periodo post-conciliare, afferma nell’enciclica Singolari quidam del 17/3/1856: «(…) nella Chiesa Cattolica, per il fatto che essa conserva il vero culto, vi è il santuario inviolabile della fede stessa, e il tempio di Dio, fuori del quale, salvo la scusa di una invincibile ignoranza, non si può sperare né la vita né la salvezza».

Si presenta adesso una questione: se ci si può salvare perché senza colpa si è fuori della Chiesa Cattolica, allora viene meno il “Fuori della Chiesa non c’è salvezza”…

E invece non c’è contraddizione. Condizione necessaria per far parte della Chiesa è ricevere il battesimo. Ma non esiste solo il “battesimo-di-acqua” (quello che viene amministrato ordinariamente), esistono anche il “battesimo-di-sangue” e il “battesimo-di-desiderio”. Il battesimo-di-sangue riguarda il martirio subìto senza che ancora si è ricevuto il Battesimo. Il battesimo-di-desiderio invece è quando un adulto in attesa di ricevere il battesimo dovesse morire improvvisamente.

Prendiamo in considerazione quest’ultimo tipo di battesimo. Colui o colei che si trova nella situazione della dotta ignoranza o dell’ignoranza invincibile ha un desiderio di aderire al vero Dio; è un desiderio implicito e non esplicito, ma è ugualmente un desiderio. Dunque, non è formalmente nella Chiesa, ma lo è sostanzialmente. E lo è sostanzialmente grazie a una sorta di battesimo-di-desiderio.

In questo modo viene tanto salvaguardato il principio giusto che possano salvarsi coloro che in buona fede non sono cattolici, quanto il principio dell’Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus. A proposito del desiderio implicito, Papa san Pio X, nel suo celebre Catechismo, dice: «Chi, trovandosi senza sua colpa, ossia in buona fede, fuori della Chiesa, avesse ricevuto il Battesimo, o ne avesse il desiderio almeno implicito; cercasse inoltre sinceramente la verità e compisse la volontà di Dio come meglio può; benché separato dal corpo della Chiesa, sarebbe unito all’anima di lei e quindi in via di salute».

Rimane ancora un’altra questione: qual è il criterio che il Signore utilizza per capire se un’anima desidera davvero aderire a Lui? Vi è da dire che qui c’è molta confusione. Spesso si dice: se qualcuno senza colpa non è cattolico, è bene che pratichi “bene” la propria religione. Ciò è invece sbagliato.

Se il desiderio implicito di aderire al vero Dio si deve esprimere con lo sforzo di praticare bene la propria (falsa) religione, allora ciò significherebbe che ogni religione è di per sé “via di salvezza”; e se così fosse, verrebbe meno l’esclusivismo salvifico della Redenzione di Cristo.

Piuttosto il criterio è un altro: lo sforzo riguarda non la pratica della propria religione, ma l’adesione alla legge naturale. Certamente possono salvarsi anche i musulmani, gli induisti, i buddisti… incolpevoli per il loro non essere cristiani, ma non grazie all’essere musulmani, induisti e buddisti, bensì malgrado siano musulmani, induisti, buddisti … o quant’altro. The Encyclopedia Britannica states that the Roman Catholic dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus was abandoned in the pronouncements of Vatican Council II. The article (1) is written by the controversial Protestant theologian John Hicks who advocates a Theology of Religious Pluralism even for Catholics.

The encyclopedia does not mention specifically where in Vatican Council II is there a pronouncement contrary to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Usually it is assumed that those saved in invincible ignorance are known explicitly to us humans and so it would be an exception to the teaching on exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.

Now more Catholics realize that we do not know any one saved in invincible ignorance, the baptism of desire or as Vatican Council II would say ‘the seeds of the Word’, in partial communion with the Church, with a good conscience etc. These cases are known only to God and so are not exceptions to the dogma.

So it is an error for the Encyclopedia Britannica to assume that Vatican Council II has contradicted the dogma. This is the political position of many non Catholic media.-Lionel Andrades

During the 20th century most Christians adopted one of three main points of view. According to exclusivism, there is salvation only for Christians. This theology underlay much of the history outlined above, expressed both in the Roman Catholic dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (“outside the church no salvation”) and in the assumption of the 18th- and 19th-century Protestant missionary movements. The exclusivist outlook was eroded within advanced Roman Catholic thinking in the decades leading up to the Second Vatican Council and was finally abandoned in the council’s pronouncements. Since the mid-20th century many Roman Catholics and Protestants have moved toward inclusivism—the view that, although salvation is by definition Christian, brought about by the atoning work of Christ, it is nevertheless available in principle to all human beings, whether Christian or not. The Roman Catholic theologian Karl Rahner expressed the inclusivist view by saying that good and devout people of other faiths may, even without knowing it, be regarded as “anonymous Christians.” Others have expressed in different ways the thought that non-Christians also are included within the universal scope of Christ’s salvific work and their religions fulfilled in Christianity.

The third position, which appealed to a number of individual theologians, was pluralism. According to this view, the great world faiths, including Christianity, are valid spheres of a salvation that takes characteristically different forms within each—though consisting in each case in the transformation of human existence from self-centredness to a new orientation toward the Divine Reality. The other religions are not secondary contexts of Christian redemption but independent paths of salvation. The pluralist position is controversial in Christian theology, because it affects the ways in which the doctrines of the person of Christ, atonement, and the Trinity are formulated.

IN THE YEAR OF THE FAITH WHICH INTERPRETATION OF VATICAN COUNCIL II IS TO BE USED ?

Do we interpret the Council and Catechism according to Cushingism or Feeneyism ?

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) published pastoral guidelines for the Year of Faith (October 11, 2012 – November 24, 2013) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) and the Catechism of the Catholic Church’s 20 years. (1)

During the Year of Faith do we interpret Vatican Council according to Cushingism or Feeneyism? Does everyone need to enter the Church except for those in invincible ignorance etc (Cushingism) or do we say that Vatican Council II teaches that all people need to enter the Church for salvation and there are no known exceptions(Feeneyism).

Which interpretation would the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith expect all Catholics to follow, the one approved by the Jewish Left Rabbis or the interpretation of Vatican Council II as a continuation and not a break from tradition and which is opposed by Jewish Anti Defamation League and others.

For me Vatican Council II teaches the literal interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus and so does the Catechism of the Catholic Church(Feeneyism). According to others Vatican Council II rejects exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church. This interpretation suggests that we know of visible cases of persons saved in invincible ignorance.(Cushingism)

For me Nostra Aetate, Vatican Council II does not say that non Catholics can be saved in general in their religion or that non Catholics religions are paths to salvation. For others Nostra Aetate calls for good relations with all non Catholics and this means giving up the call to conversion or beleiving in the need for non Catholics to convert for salvation.

For me Vatican Council II says that the Catholic Church is the ordinary means of salvation (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14). For others the ordinary means of salvation is Lumen Gentium 16 i.e. non Catholics can be saved in general in their religion through invincible ignorance, the baptism of desire etc.

CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

For me the Catechism of the Catholic Church 846 says all people need to enter the Church 'as through a door'. It says Catholic faith and the baptism of desire is the ordinary means of salvation even though all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church. For others CCC 846 says all those who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church and so everyone does not need to enter the Church, there is no exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.

For me the Catechism of the Catholic Church says the Church is the only Ark of salvation that saves in the Flood and God the Father wants all people to be united in the Church.So there is exclusive salvation in only the Catholic Church Jesus’ Mystical Body. For others only those who know about the Church need to enter.They assume we know who 'knows' and who does not' know' and also we know how God will judge who 'knows' or does not. This is irrational.

For me Vatican Council II and the Catechism tell us that there is a possibility for a non Catholic to be saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire, 'in certain circumstances'(Letter of the Holy Office 1949 and of course these cases are known only to God. For others the teaching is that these 'exceptions' are explicitly known to us and so are contradictions to exclusive salvation.

For me invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are not known exceptions to the dogma or the magisterial teachings on the need for all to enter the Church. For others, including the Society of St.Pius X and the liberals, they are exceptions.

For me Vatican Council and the Catechism texts can be interpreted with a dejure-defacto analysis which does not contradict the Principle of Non Contradiction. For others it can be interpreted with a defacto-defacto analysis which contradicts the philosophical Principle of Non Contradiction. It is irrational. It is also heretical since it suggests that the defined dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus has defacto (explicit) exceptions. It also suggests that the popes were not infallible ex cathedra since Vatican Council II and the Catechism contradicts a defined dogma with explicitly known (defacto) invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire.

So in the Year of the Faith which interpretation of Vatican Council II is to be used?-Lionel Andrades

GREGORIAN UNIVERSITY EMERGING AS A JEWISH LEFT, ISLAMIC CENTRE UNDER TALMUDIC CONTROL

The Gregorian University, Rome is emerging as a Jewish Left, Islamic Centre under the control of Talmudic Jews. This Pontifical-approved university is going in the same direction as the formerly Catholic, Boston College, now nominally administered by the Jesuits in the USA.

Our Lady, in one of her messages to the Italian priest Fr. Stefano Gobbi tells us that Masonary and all the other enemies of the Catholic Church will unite. They will seek to destroy the Church and wipe out all trace of true worship.

At the Gregorian University , the Department of Missiology offers a Masters program which includes Islamic Studies. The students and faculty do not believe that Muslims, Jews and other non Catholics, need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation; to avoid Hell. The Jesuit priests would welcome conversion but do not teach that there is exclusive salvation in only the Catholic Church.

They know there are no known cases of a non Catholic saved in invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire. Yet they will suggest that these cases are defacto exceptions. Even though they are known only to God they will suggest that they are visible, explicit cases.

This irrational reasoning I am told was pointed out to them by a group of Missionaries of Charity Sisters.

Do you know any case of someone saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire the pro-Jewish Left professors were asked at the course on Mission ?

If you don’t know anyone, then how can it be an exception to the Magisterium teaching which says all need to convert into the Catholic Church ?(Dominus Iesus 20, Catechism of the Catholic Church 845,846, Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14, Letter of the Holy Office 1949 reference to ‘the dogma’, ‘the infallible statement’, Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441 etc)

The professors at the Gregorian University also interpret Vatican Council II, the Letter of the Holy Office and other magisterial documents with a defacto-defacto analysis. This is an irrational method with no traditional support and leads to heretical conclusions. It also implies falsely that the Magisteriuim made a mistake.

For instance they now say that de facto (explicitly) every one needs to enter the Catholic Church for salvation(AG 7) and defacto (explicitly) there can be some non Catholics who do not have to enter the Church for salvation ( LG 16, invincible ignorance etc).This defacto-defacto reasoning is a violation of the Principle of Non Contradiction taught in Philosophy at this Jesuit University.

With their defacfto-defacto analysis they will suggest that the Magisterium made a mistake and is not infallible on a defined dogma.The university will not use the logical dejure-defacto interpretation of magisterial documents. They need the permission of the Jewish Left.

Then they will say that invincible ignorance( LG 16) etc are the ordinary means of salvation, the norm. They will ignore Catholic Faith and the baptism of water being the ordinary means of salvation (AG 7).

Finally the University will teach that Jews, Muslims and others, do not need to convert and there is no more exclusive salvation, in the Catholic Church.

This was the pattern used by the Jewish Left, in the 1940’s to target Fr. Leonard Feeney at Boston College, who was faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church as taught by the Magisterium.

Italian Pro lifers meet at St.Peter's Square

On Sunday I walked passed St. Peter’s Square and saw a large number of people for the Angelus with the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI. Later I learnt that they were members of an Italian pro-life group which had come there from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears, Civitavecchia. The previous day their meeting was addressed by Olympia Tarzia President World Women’s Alliance for Life & Family. Its ten years for the weeping statue of Our Lady of Tears in St. Augustine’s parish, Civitavecchia, Italy.The statue wept blood also in the presence of the bishop.

A mother who loves us and tells us that God is love and wants us all to be in Paradise, wept tears of blood ?When a mother cries for her children something is dead wrong.Is she weeping along with Jesus for the many who chose not to be saved in the Catholic Church outside of which there is no salvation?
She loves us we would agree, yet at Fatima she spoke about Hell. She showed Hell to Sister Lucia.
Our Lady weeps at so many places. It is because of her love for us. She knows many of us could be lost forever.
For the pro lifers Our Lady could be crying for the millions of babies killed through legal abortion.

The Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) is using a defacto-defacto analysis of Catholic magisterial documents including the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 . There is no traditional teaching which recommends this interpretation of Church texts.No magisterial texts claim that the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance are exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. No traditional texts claim that these are exceptions to the magisterial texts which indicate every one with no exception needs to enter the Church for salvation.

It is contrary to the Principle of Non Contradiction. It is irrational. It is heresy for example to reject the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus by saying everyone needs to defacto enter the Church for salvation however some non Catholics with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance do not have to explicitly,defacto enter the Catholic Church.

The SSPX teaches that the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are exceptions to the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation.We do not know any case of a non Catholic saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire so how can they be exceptions to the dogma as the SSPX teaches .

This is heresy.A defined dogma has defacto,known to us exceptions or are the possible exceptions known only to God?

When Fr.Jacques Dupuis S.J was a professor at the Gregorian Pontifical University, Rome his writings brought a Notification by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith,Vatican. He was teaching a theology of religions.Now the theology of religions is being taught by the Dean of the Department of Missiology Fr.Thomas Casey S.J. It is announced proudly on the website of the university.

It says ‘the theology of religions provides a deep and systematic study of other religions and cultures, while also enriching students with the wisdom of the Catholic tradition.’ What it does not say is that it teaches that other religions are also paths to salvation and their members do not have to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell (for salvation).

Fr.Thomas Casey was formerly incharge of the controversial Cardinal Bea Centre for Judaic Studies and would not affirm magisterial teachings on exclusive salvation (CDF, Notification on Fr.Jacques Dupuis S.J, Dominus Iesus etc), which state that Judaism is not a path to salvation and Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church (Letter of the Holy Office 1949 reference to ‘the dogma’, ‘the infallible’ teaching).He would not affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam null salus.

The theology of religious pluralism by Fr.Jacques Dupuis S.J indicated that the members of other religions are saved in general in their religion through Jesus and the Catholic Church.

For Jacques Dupuis, Karl Rahner,Joseph Ratzinger and other liberal theologians Lumen Gentium 16 indicates there could be non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) in general. The text of Lumen Gentium 16 does not say that it refers to in general salvation, that this is the ordinary way of salvation or that it contradicts the dogma.This did not stop the liberal theologians from assuming that it did refer to salvation in general.

These theologians have never discussed if Lumen Gentium 16 refers to:

1.Non Catholics saved in general in their religion or are saved in ‘certain circumstances’.

2.These are not explicit,known cases so how could they be exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus or to other magisterial documents which say all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation.(Dominus Iesus 20, CCC 845, Vatican Council II AG 7,LG 14 etc).

Liberal theologians with the Jewish Left simply assume that there no more can be exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church after Vatican Council II. Their thology of religions however is based on fundamental errors.

1. Non Catholics cannot be saved in general in their religion since the ordinary means of salvation is Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (Vatican Council II, AG 7,LG 14).

2.The Letter of the Holy Office 1949 refers to those who can be saved ‘in certain circumstances’ i.e those with the baptism of desire and in invincible ignorance. So it is not the ordinary means of salvation.

Finally the most important point is never discussed.

3. We do not know any explicit case on earth of someone saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire.So they are not exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

This was the error of the Jesuits at Boston College in the 1940’s and the same error is being repeated today by Fr.Thomas Casey and the other Jesuits at the Gregorian University.

Dissenting students and faculty faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church could come under criminal charges.It can be difficult also for Jews for Jesus and other Messianic groups.

Many Catholic religious however reject these Talmudic concepts of the world, which are often evil and Satanic. Religious attend these courses in obedience to Superiors.Last year a course was held by the Department of Missiology with the focus on Mother Teresa.

Some of the Missionaries of Charity Sisters who attended the course were openly critical of what was being taught about other religions and Catholic mission.The sisters said that the Catholic Church was important for salvation and there was the need for mission to save souls. When the university professors said there could be non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire the sisters replied that we do not know any one saved in invincibe ignorance and the baptism of desire.The good Sisters were saying that there was an exclusive salvation in only the Catholic Church.It seemed as if they were there at the university on Catholic mission.

The issue is still the Eucharist. How can Fr.Thomas Casey and the other Jesuits there deny in public a defined dogma, extra ecclesiam nulla salus, and still offer Holy Mass ?

DEACON REJECTS DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS AND TO PROTECT HIMSELF ONLY TALKS ABOUT THE LOVE OF GOD

Deacon Pietro yesterday could not affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and would feel comfortable talking about the love God.

The Deacon at a Redemptorist Church in Rome like the priests there, finds it convenient and safe to speak about the love of God and His mercy for all people.

The Deacon has had a liberal education, the one approved by the Vatican all over the world. They are only to speak about the love of God.

If they say that Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7) affirms the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus then it would be controversial. It would mean that Vatican Council II teaches that all Jews and Muslims and other non Catholics are oriented to Hell, unless they have Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (AG 7,LG 14).

If they say that the Catchism of the Catholic Church 845,846 affirms the dogma thrice-defined, it would mean that all Orthodox Christians, Protestants and evangelicals are lost to Hell unless they convert into the Cathlic Church.This would not be politically accepted.

Politically the Vatican cannot maintain this position and so Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger accepted compromises on this issue. So the Muslim religious leaders are pleased and so are the Talmud Jews, the Jewish Left who have power in USA and Europe.

Cardinals have been critical of some of the homilies by priests however they would dare not mention that the priest cannot speak about Hell, extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Social Reign of Jesus over all politial instituions, the non separation of Church and State, mortal sin and other issues opposed by the political left.The cardinals and bishops themself avoid these issues.

So presently we have a leftist version of the Catholic Church approved by the pope and the Curia and the Rabbis overlooking them, Rosen, Segni etc.

The dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus was not specified in the Catechism and it was assumed that those saved in invincible ignorance(LG 16) are explicit cases known to us and so they contradicted the dogma. This irrationality was convenient with political advantages.-Lionel Andrades

I asked him how could the Holy Spirit for centuries have taught the Church that every one needs to enter the Church for salvation and that there are no exceptions and then how could the Holy Spirit guide the Church after Vatican Council II to say that there are defacto exceptions to the dogma ? This theory is based on error it assumes that we know cases of those saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) and so this is an exception. We do not know a single case. The original book Hell and How to Avoid Hell by Fr.F.X Schouppe S.J and Thomas Nelson has an important section on moral theology. It also affirms the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It was an important book that I read. I would highly recommend it.

As a former Baptist I was leary about reading this book but I am now glad I did. Thank God that I did because I am now clear about the errors of my ways and I have truly come to know the Lord Jesus Christ by entering into his one and only true church, the Catholic Church. Thank God for this book or the "once-saved-always-saved" myth would have surely sent me to hell. Dear fellow Christians, please read this book and learn about what mortal sin is and how it will send you to Hell if unrepentant. God bless!

Just the title in today's world seems taboo!!! No matter you be Protestant, Catholic or any of the other faiths, this book will bind you to its pages! The written vision that this book gives, from 100's of years of oral and written history, is both frightening and compelling. Do know that it was compiles over about 100 yrs ago so political correctness is all but non-existent. As a Catholic I can appreciate the writings of Fr. Schouppe, for he not only shows God's justified wrath, he also shows His blind forgiveness! The greatest part of this book is that in the last half you are given INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO AVIOD HELL! I too could not put this book down. I found it very scary in the beginning but scary in a good way. It got me to go back to confession and make a good confession and to go to confession often. I thought it was very informative in explaining the sins that fall under the commandments. The book makes you realize that Hell is very real and not a place you want to be. It has increased my Catholic faith and woken me up from the luke warm place I was in in my life. I highly recommend it.

This book gives the most unbelievable account of hell that I have ever encountered. It really shook my faith and made me realize I was standing on shaky ground. I'm not gonna continue living my life by the '10 Suggestions' anymore, it's time to live by the '10 Commandments.'

I almost did not purchase this book, as it was written by a Catholic (I am Protestant). And indeed, it does contain a few less-than- flattering comments about Protestantism;however,if you can get past this unfortunate polemic, you will find this book to be the most important book which you ever purchased(other than your Bible,of course). I realize that is strong praise, but this book is truly extraordinary and unique.It presents case histories and testimonials which are more frightening than anything you've ever come across before(since the topic is about an actual-not fictional- place: Hell). This book is not for the faint of heart, as the descriptions are dramatic and "uncensored". You will not read this book and walk away the same person:if you are already a Christian, you will be strenghtened.If you are not , you will probably want to become one.

Remember that Catholic priests are not permitted to talk about Hell and many of them do not even believe in it. The leftists oppose any one who mentions Hell.So do not expect to read a book on moral theology, the salvation dogma or Hell as you could in the original book authored by Thomas Nelson the owner of Tan Books and Publishers.

The new company which has bought over Tan Books and Publishers will not make the original book available. The response you will get is This is not a valid product'.

Anti Semitism is a criminal offence in Italy. It covers Catholic religious beliefs.

The Redemptorist priest today morning realized that he could not accept the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus even though he said there is no known case of the baptism of desire or being saved in invincible ignorance or a good conscience. However he wanted to justify his rejection of the dogma but could no longer refer to those saved in invincible ignorance etc. So he suggested that the dogma was contradicted by Vatican Council II.I asked him if he could cite any passage from Vatican Council II which contradicted the dogma. He said he could not remember the citations.

I mentioned that I knew the quotations. Since this is an issue I have discussed with many priests. Lumen Gentium 16 mentions invincible ignorance and being saved with a good conscience but does not state that it is an exception to the dogma or that we could know of these cases personally.

Today morning I spoke with Fr.Giuseppe, an elderly Redemptorist priest in Rome and asked him if we can know of any case of a person saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance. He answered no.

Then I asked him if he knew any one in invincible ignorance and who is saved. He did not know any such case, of course.

Then I mentioned the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and other magisterial texts which say everyone needs to enter the Church for salvation. I said there are no exceptions.

He remarked that a person though could be saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire. I agreed with him that in principle we believe that this can be a possibility. I reminded him that he had just said that we do not know of any one saved with the baptism of desire etc. So how could they be exceptions?

Assuming this priest in the Redemptorist Church, where they have day time Eucharistic Adoration, said all Jews, Protestants and Orthodox Christians need to enter the Church for salvation.(See dogma Cantate Domino Council of Florence

Members of the ADL and B’nai Brit Italy could be phoning the Vatican offices. There are hate laws which the Jewish Left can use against the Church.

The opera Sul concetto di volto nel figlio di Dio, Romeo Castellucci does not come under hate laws created by the Jewish Left, the ADL etc. The staging of this opera in Milan known for its blasphemous scenes when staged abroad, is part of the religion of the Talmudic Jews. The director of the Parenti theatre it is reported, is a Jew, Ruth Shammah.

Blasphemy is part of the beliefs of members of the Bnai Brit, Italy who have threatened Catholic academics and universities with criminal charges, for only affirming Catholic teaching. They object to the Catholic teaching which says Judaism and other religions are not paths to go to Heaven and that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell; for salvation. Maintaining dialogue and ‘having good relations with the Jews’ means not being victimized by the political and military threat of Israel and the Jewish Left. In exchange, the Catholic Church has to change its teaching in ecumenism (no ecumenism of return) and Judaism and other religions (they do not have to convert and all religions are equal).Restrictions are placed on the Catholic Traditional Latin Mass which is vehemently opposed in the leftist mainstream media in Italy.

The price of ‘good relations’ is the creating of a culture with blasphemy,atheism and hate enforced with legal blackmail and extortion, against the followers of Jesus Christ, whom Satan hates.

The anti Semitism threat is being used against Catholic bishops to make them announce that those who are faithful to Jesus and His Church are not Catholics. Catholics are being asked by the Jewish Left not to use the word ‘Catholic’. Satan is a liar and his actions are covert.

Those Catholics who rebel could be ruined financially. So Catholics do not want to talk about this issue in public. They just mention the ‘liberals’ and not the Jewish Left threat to ‘liberal Catholics’ to remain liberal.

I was studying at a Pontifical University and seminary in Rome but could not continue my studies since they have to protect themself from Jewish Left laws. The faculty was being opposed by ‘outsiders’ because of my official Catholic views. My Spiritual Director was being telephoned and finally he asked me to search for a new Spiritual Director. This priest himself would have to leave the seminary.

Pontifical universities in Rome welcome students with liberal views, freethinkers and New Agers, those opposed to Church teachings. Those who hold the Catholic teachings are threatened and expelled. This is done often with the approval of the Vatican including the former Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The cardinals and bishops want to maintain 'goof relations' with the Jewish Left and their Catholic supporters like Andrea Riccardi and the St. Egidio organization.

The Sisters of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Worcester it is said have been granted canonical status since they agreed to accept the teaching outside the Catholic Church No Salvation not as a dogma. They also agreed it is alleged to hold their interpretation of the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance.

General confusion still exists since bishops assume that the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance are exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

They are not exceptions since they are known only to God. So in this sense they are irrelevant to the dogma. They could only be exceptions if they were explicitly known.

There are no known exceptions of the baptism of desire or invincible ignorance. They do not deny the baptism of desire which they accept is possible under certain conditions and is always known only to God.

The dioceses of Worcester and Los Angeles could clarify, the obvious, for all Catholics, that there is no case of the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance known to us and so they are not relevant to the issue of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

When someone asks me: The Catholic Church teaches that Judaism is a path to salvation? I answer No. It is not a path to salvation (CDF, Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J).

If I am asked: Jews and members of other religions need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation and there are no exceptions? I would answer yes. (Dominus Iesus 20 etc)

This is my Catholic Faith and I am not ashamed to say it.

If someone claims that I am anti-Semitic or threatens me with anti-Semitism laws I would respond that this is my Catholic Faith. This has been the teaching of the Catholic Church before and after Vatican Council II.

If they declare me an anti-Semite I would say that I am just following the teachings of the Church if someone creates a law which says this teaching is anti Semitism them so be it. I am just being a good Catholic.

Those who deny this teaching commit a mortal sin and if one dies with a mortal sin without going for Confession the soul is lost. In this case we have Catholics not affirming the Church teaching on other religions. They are denying the faith in public, on the internet.

Also to suggest that Lumen Gentium 16 refers to cases of invincible ignorance that we know of and so it is a de facto exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus is a denial of the dogma. . In other words it is also an exception to the Nicene Creed in which we pray: “I believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sin”. LG 16 is an exception to the Creed?

I may not be a scholar with degrees in Scripture and theology like Robert Sungenis and Scott Hahn however I do know:

1. There is no particular case of the baptism of desire that we know of in the present time. Neither do we know of any case of a non Catholic saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16).

2. The dogma outside the church there is no salvation says every one needs to convert into the Church to avoid the pains of Hell.

3. There is no Church document which says invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire contradict the dogma. So it does not contradict Vatican Council II (AG 7, LG 14) which says all need to enter the Church with Catholic Faith and the baptism of water.

I could explain this to a young First Communicant who would understand these three points since he would not be conditioned by an education in a Pontifical University or seminary.

Will a religious community which already has canonical status in California be accepted if they say:

Does Theresa D. Montminy, Chancellor, Diocese of San Bernardino as a Catholic affirm the ‘rigorist interpretation’ of the dogma and also the possibility of persons being saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire, since these cases are known only to God?

I have received an e-mail reply from the Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino, California. It’s in response to the post (1) which I sent to a quite a few people working in the diocese. Sister Elaine Ubelhor, OBL. OSB (2) has responded suggesting that my e-mail was not applicable to them but to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

I had already sent it to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and have received no reply.

This is a general Catholic issue and applies also to the Diocese of San Bernardino in California.

The Deacons in San Bernardino know that there is no known case of a person saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance. Since we do not know any explicit case, Deacon Ed Clark, Director, Permanent Diaconate, San Bernardino,(3) could agree, that the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are not exceptions to the dogma.

For it to be an exception to the centuries old interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus it would have to be known to the deacons, priests and Sr. Elaine Ubelhor at San Bernardino.

Deacon F. Michael Jelley, Department Director and Vice Chancellor, Ecclesial Services in the diocese would know that neither does Vatican Council II state that we explicitly know these cases or that they are an exception to the dogma. The Church has not retracted this dogma defined three times.

Maria G. Covarrubias, Director, Catechetical Ministry Office, San Bernardino Catholic Church (5) could clarify if the Catechism of the Catholic Church refers to explicitly known baptism of desire and invincible ignorance.

Would Sr. Sarah Shrewsbury, Director of the Vocations Office in the diocese of San Bernardino (6) expect candidates with a religious vocation to say there are visible cases of baptism of desire and it is possible to know non Catholics in the present time saved in invincible ignorance or with a good conscience?

Can the Deacons in Los Angeles affirm the dogma like Fr.Leonard Feeney and also maintain that there is no case of the baptism of desire that we know of and, the baptism of desire is not an exception to the dogma ?

There is no known case known to us of a person saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance. So since we do not know any such explicit case how can they be exceptions to the dogma outside the church no salvation.

For it to be an exception to the centuries-old interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus we would personally have to know these ‘exceptions’ on earth.

Vatican Council II does not state that we know these cases of persons saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) and the baptism of desire. Neither does Vatican Council II or the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 state that these cases are exceptions to the dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence etc.

The Catholic Church has not retracted this thrice defined dogma which says all need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell. It does not mention invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire as exceptions.

It’s the Jewish Left owned media which assumes that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are known-exceptions which contradict the dogma. The media also supported the Archbishop of Boston, Cardinal Richard Cushing’s new theory, of those saved with the baptism of desire and in invincible ignorance being exceptions to the dogma. So he assumed that there was salvation outside the Catholic Church. Catholics just took all this for granted without really thinking on this issue: how could cases we do not know be known exceptions to the dogma? How could the Church suddenly change its teachings? How could the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 contradict itself affirming the dogma and also the possibility of being saved with the baptism of desire ? How could Vatican Council II say all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation( AG 7) and also there can be non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) ?

Jewish Left Rabbis, supported by Jewish political and economic power, have been telling Catholic bishops in California to end Church mission to the Jews. The bishops have publicly agreed with them. Their media still causes confusion on this issue and Catholics assume that it is the teaching of the Church. The bishops do not issue a clarification so as not to offend important people. Catholics are left in confusion.

Why cannot one of the religious communities in California, USA who have received canonical status, unlike Fr. Why cannot the religious order priests and nuns also affirm the dogma as it was interpreted for centuries and also affirm the possibility of non Catholics being saved in invincible ignorance, the seeds of the Word (Vatican Council II), a good conscience, in partial communion with the Church etc ?

Can the Deacons in Los Angeles affirm the dogma like Fr.Leonard Feeney and also maintain that there is no case of the baptism of desire that we know of ? Can the Deacons say the baptism of desire is not an exception to the dogma ?

TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC ORGANISATIONS BEING MONITORED IN ROME

Yesterday was the third time I noticed it. Plainclothes policemen at Holy Mass in Rome. Traditional Catholic organisations seem under their surveillance. Once a security police official identified himself to another person in my presence.

A few years back politicians Silvio Berlusconi, former Prime Minister of Italy, Gianfranco Fini, his Interior Minister and the Foreign Minister Franco Frattini welcomed Abraham Foxman of the Jewish Anti Defamation League. According to the ADL website Gianfranco Fini presented him with an award. They also agreed to implement the ADL anti Semitism laws in Italy. Those laws are now being enforced and are being used to control religious expression and to change Catholic teaching in Italy. There is a constant threat to Catholics.

A priest who offers the Traditional Latin Mass in Rome told me even though there is no case of the baptism of desire known to us, he would not affirm the traditional teaching of Fr. Leonard Feeney. He will not say in public that the Catholic Church officially teaches, in magisterial texts that Judaism, or other religions, is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert into the Church to avoid Hell.This priest is no dissenter. He is aware of the Jewish Left lobby in Italy. There could be anti Semitism or other leftist laws used against him. He could be transferred or suspended by the Vatican hierarchy. The Vatican and the Rome Vicariate also protects itself.

The ADL works with law enforcing agencies in Europe and the USA to enforce anti Semitism laws. Holocaust denial is only a part of these laws which are being misused similar to the Blasphemy Law in Muslim countries. The daily newspaper of the Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Italy, Avvenire has criticized the misuse of the blasphemy laws.Never have I read a criticism of the anti Semitism law. Avvenire is protecting itself.Now the Traditional Latin Mass is being monitored.

The Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews prayed at the Traditional Latin Mass is no more there in its original form. It was considered anti Semitic by the Jewish Left lobby. The pope assured the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and their supporters that Jews do not have to convert in the present times . This is contrary to the Bible. He made the statement to avoid the threat of violence. Catholic politicians were silent, that is, if they knew what was happening.

Also in the Bishop Richard Williamson case the pope averted threats to the Vatican under anti Semitism laws. Bishop Richard Williamson could not be accepted as a Catholic bishop even though he has violated no church law except those created by the Jewish Left.In future they can create new laws saying the Bible and Jesus are anti Semitic.

Catholic apologists all over the world, like the pope and his Curia are changing Church teaching on the Jews to protect themselves from anti Semitism charges. Other apologists are targeted by their bishops, when they say that the church teaches that Judaism is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert into the Church to avoid Hell. American apologists Robert Sungenis and Michael Voris were told by their bishops not to use the word Catholic.

The Archdiocese of Detroit USA mentioned that there was a long feud with Michael Voris before he was asked to remove the name Catholic from Real Catholic TV.com. The issue was the Jewish Left which the archdiocese does not mention. Similarly Bishop Kevin Rhoades, the former bishop of Harrisburg, Pennsylavia, USA asked apologist Robert Sungenis to remove the name Catholic from his website Catholic Apologetics International. The issue was the Jews and the threat came form the Jewish Left. Bishop Kevin Rhoades until today cannot say in public that Judaism is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert to avoid Hell.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Doctrinal Committee stated that dialogue could include mission. The Jewish Left protested. The USCCB deleted the reference to mission.

The Bible says Jews need to convert for salvation and these bishops are not affirming this teaching out of fear of the influential Jewish Left. Bishop Allen Vigneon,bishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit and Bishop Kevin Rhoades,Bishop of Forth Wayne South Bend, Indiana are not able to proclaim a Biblical teaching and are correcting Voris and Sungenis who have been affirming same teaching.

Bishop Richard Williamson has said in public that Jesus need to convert for salvation. The National Catholic Reporter criticized Bishop Williamson just as they have criticized Real Catholic TV. They will not mention that the issue between Real Catholic TV.com with the Archdiocese of Detroit is, the Jews.

If the Jewish Left in the USA filed an anti Semitic charge against Voris and Sungenis for their Biblical view, the bishops could disown them and protect themself.

The Catholic organisation which is monitored in Rome is publicly critical of Freemasonry in the Jewish Left. They hold the Biblical teaching on Jews. Probably at some time in the future there could be restrictions placed on them by the Italian police.

The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Los Angeles are mentioned on the website of the Sisters of St. Benedict Center,Worcester one of the communities who have canonical status. Little is known about the community in Los Angeles.

I sympathise with them since being saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are not exceptions to the dogma, and neither are they even an issue relative to the dogma and this may not be known to their bishop. This error was the creation of the Archbishop of Boston and the Jesuits who also inserted it in Vatican Council II.

So I can understand the difficulty of the brothers in Los Angeles.

I wish I could place an appeal in one of the LA newspapers to get the attention of Archbishop Jose H.Gomez, the Archbishop of Los Angeles.

I wish to call your attention to an unpleasant misunderstanding in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

I am told that there is a community of Fr.Leonard Feeney in the archdiocese and the general misconception about them is that they reject the baptism of desire and the possibility of non Catholics being saved in invincible ignorance, since it is believed that this would contradict the ‘rigorist interpretation’ of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Common sense tells us that the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are irrelevant to the dogma and magisterial teachings on this issue.(CCC 845, Dominus Iesus 20).

This issue has relevance since the Archbishop of Boston Cardinal Richard Cushing assumed that there was salvation outside the church and that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are explicitly known to us.

There is no magisterial text which claims that Fr. Leonard Feeney was excommunicated for disobedience. The excommunication was lifted by the Church without him having to recant or make changes in his writings.

Could you please clarify, something obvious and generally known, that there is no case of the baptism of desire or invincible ignorance known to us in the present time. So it cannot be an exception to the teaching outside the church there is no salvation.

We accept Lumen Gentium 16 ( invincible ignorance) but know there is no case known to us in the present times of someone saved in invincible ignorance or with a good conscience.

We accept that all who are saved, are saved through Jesus and the Church (CCC 846) and this does not contradict the centruries old interpretation of the dogma which the secular media calls the ‘rigorist interpretation’.This was the interpretation of the popes, Church Councils, saints and Fr.Leonard Feeney and it is not contradicted by VaticanCouncil II or any magisterial text.

In the Nicene Creed we pray: “I believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sin”. The baptism of water is needed to remove Original Sin. The baptism of water is given to adults with Catholic Faith.

The bishop at Fort Wayne South Bend cannot say in public that Judaism is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell (for salvation).

He is denying the Nicene Creed and the Athanasius Creed.He is also not affirming the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and is putting aside Dominus Iesus and other magisterial texts including Vatican Council II (AG 7,LG 14).This is public manifest heresy, of the first class, it entails the Creed.

In this sin the bishop has the right to offer Holy Mass and canonically call himself a ‘Catholic’ ?

St. Teresa of Avila saw Jesus in pain when a priest in mortal sin held the Eucharist at Holy Mass. St. Faustina Kowalski saw Jesus in pain when a lady in mortal sin received the Eucharist at Holy Mass.

The issue is the Eucharist. Canon Law does not permit the bishop to offer Holy Mass or receive the Eucharist.

I am just a layman. I am not judging him. I am just pointing out to what the Church teaches.The teaching of the Church is the same for priests, bishops, cardinals and the pope.The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available for all.

I had written to the bishop and the issue is now all over the internet. It is up to him to affirm the Catholic Faith as a bishop. He can answer the four questions asked of him.

Evidence of the Fort Wayne Bend bishops denial of the Catholic Faith is on a website.

Canon Lawyer Fr. Mark Gurtner (Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend in Indiana) said, it was reported on the internet, that the jurisdiction of the case against Real Catholic TV.com lies in the Indiana diocese whose bishop is Kevin Rhoades.

Bishop Kevin Rhoades when he was the bishop of Harrisburg, Pennsylavia had also asked apologist Robert Sungenis to remove the name 'Catholic' from this website Catholic Apologetics International (CAI).The issue was the Jewish Left.

Bishop Kevin Rhoades also approved a website Robert Sungenis and the Jews and provided statements to Michael Forrest which are still there on this anti-Sungenis website.

I had asked three questions of Bishop Rhoades and also written to other priests hoping they would answer them and so diffuse the tension at that time.The three questions were posted on the website Robert Sungenis and the Jews but were not answered. There was no answer also from ishop Kevin Rhoades. Robert Sungenis called Bishop Rhoades and Catholics United for the Faith, Steubenville, heretics.

According to Canon Law a bishop is a juridical person and has to be a Catholic. He is obliged to affirm the teachings of the Catholic Church.If Bishop Rohades does not affirm the faith when asked it is a denial.

5. Bishop Kevin Rhoades is assuming that there is some magisterial text which claims that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are defacto exceptions to the dogma outside the church there is no salvation.

This is all contrary to Vatican Council II (LG 14, AG 7), Dominus Iesus 20, extra ecclesiam nulla salus as explained by popes and Church Councils in the ordinary and extraordinary mode etc.

Bishop Kevin Rhoades offers Holy Mass when it is a mortal sin to reject an ex cathedra dogma. He denies Church teachings on other religions and yet calls himself a ‘Catholic’.

He uses his office to tell those who are faithful to the very teachings he rejects, not to use the word Catholic i.e apologists Robert Sungenis and Michael Voris.

Today morning I was at the tomb of St. Robert Bellarmine at the church Chiesa di San Ignazio, Rome and I was thinking how the Bellarmine Doctrine was the same as the Vatican Council II doctrine .Outside the Church there is no salvation.

Near by at another Jesuit Church off the Via del Corso those who meet on Sunday mornings for Holy Mass reject this teaching of St. Robert Bellarmine and Vatican Council II.

They reject a dogma and teaching on salvation which every Catholic needs to believe in. The priest offers Mass there denying the Faith. There are not only Jesuits offering Mass here at the Church San Francesco Xavier in Caravita but also priests from other communities.

They will probably pray for Christian Unity without saying that non Catholics, Christians, are on the way to Hell. This is the Vatican Council II doctrine.

Protestants, Evangelicals, Orthodox Christians do not have Catholic Faith , which includes the interpretation of the Gospel according to the Catholic Church, even though they are baptized with the baptism of water. They are heretics and schismatics (Cantate Domino, Council of Florence).

In the four points mentioned in this link Bishop Rhoades says he believes that Christ established a new eternal covenant through his own death and resurrection. There are no two covenants one for the Jews and one for the Gentiles. Since Jesus is the only Saviour and saved all though his Body the Church. Salvation is possible for all through the grace of Jesus.The bishop does not say that Judaism is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation. He could be implying that all are saved through Jesus. All Jews are saved in general in their religion through Jesus and the Catholic Church and so there is no need to convert.

In the second point he repeats the same message and says that he does not believe anyone can reach heaven without the mediation of Jesus Christ. Again he could imply that all Jews are saved in their religion through the mediation of Jesus Christ.

In the third point he says that he does not believe that the Jewish People can be saved by their own covenant apart from Jesus Christ. Again he denies the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Dominus Iesus 20 etc. He refuses to say that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation.

In the fourth point he says he believes that the Church is called to bring the Gospel to all people. The Church’s missionary activity he says must be marked for the peoples of other religions and their religious freedom. This of course would preclude the need for them to convert or are our asking them to do so, out of respect for them.

This is a classic denial of the Catholic Faith by Bishop Kevin Rhoades the present bishop of Fort Wayne Bend, Indiana.

Bishop Kevin Rhoades is unable to say that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation (to avoid Hell). He still maintains vaguely that Jesus is necessary for salvation. So one can believe that invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are the ordinary means of salvation and so Jews do not have to convert into the Catholic Church.They are saved in general through Jesus and the Church is the lie. The ordinary means of salvation is not invincible ignorance etc but Catholic Faith and the baptism of water.(LG 14, AG 7).

Bishop Rhoades could not even answer something as basic as ‘Are non Catholic religions paths to salvation? ’ (Dominus Iesus 20, CDF, Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J).

Then there is the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, thrice defined. He still cannot affirm it in public and secondly considers those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire as possible exceptions to the dogma. This would mean that the baptism of desire is visible and so an exception to the dogma and that we know of explicit cases of non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance. One could phone or meet them.

This is the heresy of Cushingism. It was Cardinal Richard Cushing, Archbishop of Boston who said that there was salvation outside the church implying that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are explicitly known to us, for them to be exceptions to the dogma.

There were also three points asked of Bishop Kevin Rhoades,Michael Forrest and others. They posted these three questions on the blog Robert Sungenis and the Jews but never answered them.

1) Does the Catholic Church teach that non Catholic religions, Hindus, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam etc are not paths to salvation (to go to Heaven and avoid Hell)? YES

2) Does the Catholic Church teach that Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people in general, barring the exceptions (invincible ignorance etc ) for salvation? YES

3) When you meet a non Catholic can you tell him or her that he or she needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven and avoid Hell? YES

The Wikipedia entry on Dominus Iesus (English) has been changed and the new entry is a liberal comment with no citations.

It says that it excludes the Orthodox Christians from having to enter the Catholic Church for salvation. (1). Then it says that the dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus indicates that those in invincible ignorance can be saved.

The catholic dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus does not even mention the possibility of salvation for persons invincibly ignorance (through no fault of their own). It then mentions that Feeneyism has been condemned implying that this is a contradiction of Dominus Iesus and the dogma.(3)

Fr.Leonard Feeney affirmed the dogma which the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 called an infallible statement’ so how could it be said that he was condemned for heresy ?

Also Vatican Council II and the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 acknowledge that a person can be saved in invincible ignorance etc.These documents do not state that being saved in invincible ignorance is a defacto exception to the dogma.Wikpedia assumes it is.

Vatican Council II also says that Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is needed for salvation(AG 7,LG 14). This is the ordinary means of salvation. Similarly the dogma referred to in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 is the ordinary means of salvation.This has been the traditional teaching of the Church.

Pro abortion-ADL Rabbi speaks on theme ‘Do not Kill’

The Day of Reflection (Giornata di Riflessione Ebraico –Cristiana) between leftists Jews and Catholics was to be presided over today by Mons. Benedetto Tuzia, President of the Diocesan Commission for Ecumenism and Dialogue, Vicariate Rome. Rabbi Segni has the support of Israel so only those rabbis can meet the pope or participate in these meetings it is learnt who are not opposed to Zionism, and leftist values.Rabbi Segni along with his associates also decide what Catholic priests are to say or avoid speaking in homilies at Holy Mass in Rome.

He personally went to the Urbaniana Pontifical University, Rome and the Vatican offices cautioning them against Catholic Mission and evangelisation. There was the threat of the Jewish Left anti Semitic laws and racist and proselytism charges against Catholics by the relatively small but influential Jewish community in Italy.

Now at the Urbaniana University Prof. Sandra Mazzolini teaches, according to their syllabus, that Lumen Gentium 16 (Vatican Council II) is a development of doctrine, of a defined dogma, and so the Church’s teaching on extra ecclesiam nulla salus has changed. This is approved by the Rector of Urbaniana University and the Congregation for Catholic Education, Vatican.

After Rabbi Segni protested along with the ADL against the Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews, the pope himself said that Jews do not have to convert in the present times. They would convert at some future end-times unknown to the pope.

The Chief Rabbinate of Israel also protested against the Good Friday Prayer and ended dialogue, the newspapers reported, there was the threat of violence, war.Now dialogue has been resumed.

Dialogue has resumed since the Church has changed its teachings under the threat of war and charges of anti-Semitism.Since the Catholic Church decided to change its teachings the Jewish left community was well represented at the last Assisi Interfaith meeting.

The Vicariate like the pope has been accommodating and the Vicariate’s Pastoral Office for the Care of the Sick states on their website (Vicariato, Rome) that every one does not need to be baptized with water for salvation. It assumes there could be some people known in particular to the us, who are exceptions.

The Vicariate also welcomes young vocations to the religious life. Candidates would have to agree that there is a visible baptism of desire which is an exception to the dogma outside the church no salvation.

According to Fr. Brian Crawford, Rector, Oblates of St.Joseph, Rome we do not know any case of a person saved with the baptism of desire. So the baptism of desire does not contradict the dogma he agrees. However this is the understanding in the church now he says, and every one believes it.

He means that though this is not a church teaching and is not part of the Deposit of the Faith however it is promoted by the Jewish Left media. So this is a political position. All have to accept this political position. Otherwise the bishops could say that we have no right to use the name Catholic, as it was done for apologists Robert Sungenis and Michael Voris.

Presently ideological transfers and posting are being made at the Vatican with the aim of electing a pope who will be a liberal and will cause tremendous confusion in the Catholic Church.

Rabbi Segni had also asked Cardinal Bagnasco the President of the Conference of Italian Bishops (CEI) to put down ‘the ugly head of anti Semitism every time it rears up’. The traditional, official teachings of the Catholic Church are in this category. Cardinal Bagnasco assured him that the Prayers for the Conversion of the Jews was not for their conversion in the present times and there was no mission to convert Jews into the Catholic Church. The Prayer was considered anti Semitic.

Rabbi Segno also thanked Cardinal Bagnasco for supporting him on the Bishop Richard Williamson issue. Initially the Vatican spokesman and the pope supported Bishop Williamson’s entry into the Church saying that the bishop was free to hold a personal opinion on this subject. After the international political pressure the pope changed his position on this issue. Cardinal Bagnnasco had opposed the initial view of the pope and supported the Rabbi and so he was thanked.

The scope of the anti Semitism laws in Italy and abroad have not been determined.So even if one refers to leftist rabbis and Communist lay members teaching at the Pontifical Gregorian University Rome today it could be considered anti-Semitic.

A political policy of arresting Catholics for their religious beliefs in Italy has not been made . Establishment Catholics, pro-life Catholics would be expected to hand over these cases to the authorities.

Meanwhile the Talmud is being translated into Italian with the cooperation of the Italian Education Ministry and the Rabbi in Rome is on the committee overseeing it. They also have a Jewish seminary in Rome and there is no opposition to the Jewish Left mission which is opposed by other Jews who are not pro abortion.

In the case of the writer of the post, Ed., I said it was heresy since he knows that Lumen Gentium 16 is not an exception to the dogma. he had been informed and yet as a Catholic he is not affirming a Church teaching. He implies that there are defacto exceptions to the dogma.

Regarding the pope and his Curia we do not know if they are aware of Cushingism. We do not know if the pope knows that there is no defacto- known case of the baptism of desire. Unknowingly he could be making the same error as many Catholics.

So charity demands we give the pope the benefit of the doubt until someone asks him a direct question.

Recently the pope said the Church is Mission. If he sees the need for Mission he could believe as in the past as Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger that non Catholic religions are not paths to salvation. He could also be affirming the dogma outside the church there is no salvation.

So if there is a direct denial of the Faith by the pope only then what I have mentioned above is true.

The pope has said in one of his recent books that what he is was writing there is not infallible and he is open to correction.

What I have mentioned are just general principles of the Catholic Church applied to all Catholics. So it cannot be said that I am calling the pope a heretic who is automatically excommunicated. Let us give him and his Curia the benefit of the doubt.

Robert Sungenis called his (former) bishop Kevin Rhoades a heretic since he could not say in public that Judaism is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation (to avoid Hell). A website was created Robert Sungenis and the Jews. While Bishop Kevin Rhoades, the former bishop of Harrisburg, Penn. asked Robert Sungenis to remove the word ‘Catholic ‘from his website Catholics Apologetics International. This was widely reported by the Jewish Left media including the anti-Sungenis website.

Michael Vorris produced a good video titled The Jews. Robert Sungenis carried it on his website and wrote, ‘At last someone has got it right!’

The video said the Catholic Church is the continuation of the Jewish religion. Catholics have the Jewish Messiah.They have the Sacrifice in the Mass. So this is the Eternal Covenant of the new Chosen People of God.

Archbishop Allen Vigneron, the Archbishop of Detroit where Real Catholic TV is situated asked Michael Vorris to remove the name Catholic from Real CatholicTV.com. The owner of Real Catholic TV.com Marc Brammer lives in the Indiana Fort Wayne- South Bend diocese where Bishop Kevin Rhoades is the bishop.

Now will Bishop Kevin Rhoades approve a hit-website against Michael Vorris and Real Catholic TV.com?

When Fr. Brian Harrison O.S pointed out that the website Robert Sungenis and the Jews was not Catholic in its attitude to the issue and that it also lacked charity , those who maintained the website turned on him. They began a political attack. They politicized a doctrinal issue with the support of Bishop Kevin Rhoades and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops who did not say that the website was ‘not Catholic’.

Similarly in the past Archbishop Richard Cushing used his office to prevent Fr. Leonard Feeney from teaching the traditional interpretation of the dogma outside the church there is no salvation. Fr.Leonard Feeney was being opposed by the Jews in Boston. Instead of supporting Fr. Feeney the Archbishop placed restrictions on the priest’s ability to offer Mass and hear Confession. Catholics were discouraged from visiting the St. Benedict Center. The Jesuits expelled a few Catholic professors from Boston College who were loyal to the teachings of the Catholic Church. They were criticised in communication with Rome.

The Richard Cushing-Leonard Feeney, Kevin Rhoades-Robert Sungenis case is the visible manifestation of how the faith is compromised when there is political pressure from outside the Church. The bishops are not answering basic questions about the faith for fear of retaliation. Now they are making a virtue out of a necessity and putting restrictions on those lay Catholics who are still speaking the truth.

Basic questions about the Catholic Faith are still there before those who maintain the website Robert Sungenis and the Jews and they are still there before Bishop Kevin Rhoades.

1. Does the Catholic Church teach that Judaism is not a path to salvation? (Dominus Iesus 20, CDF,Notification on Fr.Jacques Dupuis S.J, Letter of the Holy Office 1949 (reference to 'the dogma', the 'infallible teaching' ), Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441etc.

2. Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell (for salvation)? (Vatican Council II, Ad Gentes 7,Lumen Gentium 14 etc)

The new ‘thought monitors’ are not going to answer these questions and they will persecute and oppose any Catholic, who does not deny the Faith.

Bishop Rhoades could not even answer something as basic as ‘Are non Catholic religions paths to salvation? ’ (Dominus Iesus 20, CDF, Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J).

Then there is the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, thrice defined. He still cannot affirm it in public and secondly considers those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire as possible exceptions to the dogma. This would mean that the baptism of desire is visible and so an exception to the dogma and that we know of explicit cases of non Catholics saved in invincible ignorance. One could phone or meet them.

Cushingism is heresy.

It was Robert Sungenis who accused the bishop of being a heretic, not for the sin of Cushingism, but since he could basically not say that Judaism is not a path to salvation and that Jews need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

In spite of the propaganda Robert Sungenis has not given up his Catholic Faith even though he must have had to pay a price for his faithfulness to Catholic teaching.

Now the same whip of declaring someone not a Catholic is being applied to Real Catholic TV.com. Accusations are being made against Michael Vorris without naming the charge. The Sungenis case is a precedent which tells us why Michael Vorris is targeted.

OBLATES OF ST.JOSEPH PRIEST APPROVES MY UNDERSTANDING OF CHURCH

Last Monday at 8.45 a.m I was in the sacristy of the Church San Giuseppe All Aurelio, Via Boccea, Rome.I briefly spoke to the Italian priest who was preparing for Holy Mass in Italian. I mentioned that the day earlier Sunday the feast of the Baptism of Our Lord the congregation was asked, in another church, if they believe in the Holy Spirit the Holy Catholic Church... We all responded YES.

I told him my understanding of Church could be different. I believe in the dogma outside the church there is no salvation and I accept the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance but know we do not know any case on earth.

He began to speak about the baptism of desire etc when I interrupted him and said that I accept it but we do not know any case in particular.

I said I beleive in extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This is my under standing of Church was it correct.

Padre Orlandao smiled and answered yes.

I said thank you and left.

This is the second priest in a few weeks that I have asked this same question and they tell me my Faith is OK.

This Italian priest is from the community Oblates of St. Joseph.

A traditionalist website has listed the heresies of the past and among the modern heresies has been placed-Feeneyism.

The heresy is Cushingism and not Feeneyism.

Cushingism says there is salvation outside the Church implying that those saved in invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire are explicitly known to us and so contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The dogma says all need to convert into the church for salvation.

Cushingism gets its name from the Archbishop of Boston Richard Cushing who in the 1940’s rejected the centuries-old interpretation of the dogma.

Richard Cushing opposed Fr. Leonard Feeney who held the traditional teaching on the dogma outside the church there is no salvation. He was supported by the Jesuits and the Jewish Left media in Boston.

The Letter of the Holy Office 1949 addressed to Cardinal Cushing mentioned ‘the dogma’ which was interpreted consistently for centuries. It was the same interpretation as that of Fr. Leonard Feeney.

The Letter also mentions the possibility of a person being saved with the baptism of desire but nowhere says that it is an exception to the dogma or that these cases are explicitly known to us.

Likewise Vatican Council II maintained the traditional teaching and the interpretation of Fr. Leonard Feeney. Ad Gentes 7 states all need to enter the Church for salvation with Catholic Faith and the baptism of water. Lumen Gentium 16 mentions the possibility of non Catholics being saved in invincible ignorance. Again, contrary to Cushingism it does not state that these cases are explicitly known to us or are exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Dominus Iesus says salvation is available for all however to receive it one needs to enter the Church, the Church is necessary. (N.20).

Cushingism refutes this teaching and says that the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are exceptions.Cushingites claim Fr.Leonard Feeney rejected these ‘exceptions’ to the dogma and so held the ancient ‘rigorist’ interpretation.Cushingites assume that implicit baptism of desire is an exception to the dogma. This is irrational.

Cushingism is a widespread modern heresy in the Catholic Church.

The Detroit Archdiocese Canon Lawyer who is employed in the Archdiocese seminary must also acknowledge that Canon Law demands that a bishop ( a juridical person) must be a ‘a Catholic’. A bishop to be ‘a Catholic’ must be able to affirm all Church teaching ,especially those which must be ‘firmly beleived’(Dominus Iesus on Other Religions).

Neither is the bishop of Detroit or Fort Wayne-South Bend willing to affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus which is at the heart of the Real CatholicTV.com issue i.e the subject of the Jews in particular and non Catholics in general and their need to enter the Church for salvation.Michael Vorris has produced some good videos on this issue.

The bishops of Detroit and Forth Wayne-South Bend are not willing to affirm the dogma or say that Jews need to convert for salvation and now they are targeting Michael Vorris and his financier Marc Brammar for defending Catholic teaching.

As Shepherds they needed to inform Vorris and Brammar what was the precise moral or faith issue violated.They have not done so.

The Canon Lawyer of Detroit must know that the Archbishop there has no right to call himself Catholic, according to Canon Law, since he denies a magisterial teaching in public.

A simple question for the bishop of Detroit, which I asked Bishop Kevin Rhoades and he did not answer during the Robert Sungenis controversy was: Does the Catholic Church teach that non Catholic religions are not paths to salvation? (Dominus Iesus 20, CDF, Notification on Fr.Jacques Dupuis S.J etc).

How can these bishops not affirm the dogma outside the church there is no salvation and canonically still offer Holy Mass and remain as bishops? They can commit sacrilege just because they have the political support of the ADL and the pro abortion rabbis linked to Israel?

Why would Vorris and Brammar want a recommendation from these bishops in dissent?

Michal Vorris has affirmed th dogma now the next step is to tell the bishops that we do not know anyone on earth saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance.So they are not defacto exceptions to the dogma outside the church there is no salvation which Pope Pius XII called an ‘infallible statement’(Letter of the Holy Office 1949).

This was one of the public errors of Bishop Kevin Rhoades when he put it in writing on a website against apologist Robrt Sungenis, approved by the Catholics United for the Faith,Steubenville ,when Bishop Rhoades was the bishop of Harrisburg,Penn.

Questions for the Canon Lawyers.

1.Can Archbishop Allen Vigneron and Bishop Kevin Rhoades be conidered Catholic if they refuse to affirm in public the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ?

2.Can they deny the dogma and still offer Holy Mass according to Canon Law?

3.If they assume that those cases saved in invincible ignorance (LG16) and with the baptism of desire (CCC) are explicitly known to us and so are an exception to the dogma then would this not be heresy and a denial of the dogma?

(Note Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church mentions those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire. We accept this is as a posibility (de jure). No magisterial texts claim that we defacto know these cases and so they are an exception to the dogma or the ordinary means of salvation).

Could it be that Bishops Allen Vigneron and Kevin Rhoades are under pressure too ? Could they come under leftist hate laws, which are Catholic-specific, if they do not disown Michael Vorris ?

I had been writing to many religious in the Diocese of Pennsylvania,Harrisburg where Bishop Rhoades was originally posted.This was during the controversy there. Bishop Rhoades could not say that Jews need to convert into the Church for salvation, is the teaching of the Church. Robert Sungenis called the bishop; his bishop, and also Catholics United for the Faith,Steubenville, ‘heretics’.They still did not affirm the faith and began a campaign against Robert to make him change his views.

Now Michael Vorris has affirmed the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and has produced some good videos on the Jews and the subject of the Catholic Church being the continuation of the Jewish religion.

Real Catholic TV.com’s financier however lives in the diocese of Bishop Rhoades and could be asked to remove the name 'Catholic' .

Robert Sungenis has changed the name of his website to the Bellarmine Report and continues th same apostolate.He still says that Jesus, the Catholic Church and the Bible teaches that Jews need to convert.

He disagrees with the ADL , telling Catholics what to believe, and says Catholics are the Chosen People of God now, the people of the New Covenant (Nostra Aetate,Vatican Council II). Also Vatican Council II,Nostra Aetate does not say that Jews or other non Catholics, do not have to convert into the Catholic Church. This is the propaganda posted on the website of the Boston Archdiocese.

It's unlikely that Bishop Kevin Rhoades would affirm this same teaching in public. So when Wikipedia reports that Robert Sungenis has been corrected by 'ecclesiastical authority', so what ? The ecclesiastical authority, in this case, is the local bishop, who is not affirming a defined dogma.

ERRORS IN THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH: OUTSIDE THE CHURCH NO SALVATION

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) under the sub heading outside the church there is no salvation mentions invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire as exceptions. They are not defacto exceptions.

Vatican Council II also mentions invincible ignorance (LG 16) but nowhere implies that it is an exception to the dogma or the ordinary means of salvation.

The Catechism instead implies that those who are saved in invincible ignorance are visible and known to us, so the baptism of water is needed by only those who know about Jesus and the Church.

The text of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus states that everyone needs to enter the Church. The text of the dogma defined three times is not included in the Catechism.This is all misleading.

To imply that the baptism of desire is a defacto exception to the dogma is heresy. It is indifferentism when one says non Catholics can be defacto saved in their religion and we know who these cases are. This teaching is not part of the Deposit of the Faith. It is irrational and a repititon of the Richard Cushing Error.

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in preparing the Catechism did not violate the Principle of Non Contradiction. Since defactro every one needs to enter the Church for salvation (Cantate Domino, Council of Florence) and dejure, in principle, in theory and known only to God a person can be saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire.

Placing invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire under the subheading Outside the Church NO Salvation however implies that they are relevant to the dogma or defacto exceptions.

For the Catechism to say that the baptism of water is needed for only those who know about Jesus and the Church could imply that those saved in invincible ignorance are defacto known to us in the present time. It implies that we know these particular cases and so we cannot say that everyone on earth with no exception needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of desire for salvation: to avoid the fires of Hell.

Also to suggest that only those who ‘know’ need the baptism of water for salvation would imply that Fr. Leonard Feeney was excommunicated not for disobedience but for heresy. It would also imply that the excommunication was wrongly lifted by the Catholic Church without the priest having to recant or make changes in his writing. It also implies that the popes, saints and Fr. Leonard Feeney were wrong in saying everyone needs to be an explicit member of the Church for salvation. It would also be a contradiction of three Councils which defined the dogma in an extra ordinary mode. The ‘dogma’ is referred to in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 as the ‘infallible statement’.

For a priest to knowingly say that there are defacto exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus is a first class heresy and a mortal sin. He is refuting the Nicene Creed in which we pray, “I believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sins” and “I believe in the Holy Spirit the Holy Catholic Church”. It was the Holy Spirit which guided the Magisterium of the Church to teach over the centuries that outside the church there is no salvation.

A priest, who knowingly continues in this error, even after being informed, is in manifest public heresy and is not to offer Mass without receiving absolution in the Confessional and making public amends; removing the sacrilege. Similarly it would be a sacrilege for a lay person knowingly in this error to receive the Eucharist.

ERRORS IN THE CATECHISM ?

The Catechism seems to be written in a style in which it can please the traditionalists and the liberals, one can use a defacto-dejure interpretation or a defacto-defacto intrepretation. It is confusing to many lay Catholics. Here is a sample.

Dejure (CCC 847). 'This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church...'

The Archbishop of Boston Richard Cushing and the Jesuits there assumed that ‘those who through no fault of their own do not know Christ and his Church’ are defacto exceptions to the dogma. The dogma was interpreted for centuries as every one needs to defacto enter the Church and there are no known exceptions. This would mean defacto every one with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church and there can also be defacto exceptions of some people who do not have to enter i.e. those who through no fault of their own do not know Christ and the his Church’ and yet are saved.

This is an error. Since we do not know anyone as mentioned in CCC 847. If we do not know anyone on earth as described above how can it be an exception to the dogma outside the church there is no salvation?

So why is CCC 847 placed under the sub section Outside the Church No Salvation?

It would be rational to say de facto everyone needs to enter the Church and de jure (in principle) we accept that some people can be saved in invincible ignorance and it would be known only to God. The defacto-dejure reasoning does not contradict the Principle of Non Contradiction.

Dejure (CCC 848) "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."

In principle (de jure) we know God can lead persons ‘who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him,’. Defacto in reality we do not know a single such case. So it is not a defacto exception to the dogmatic teaching that every one needs to convert into the Church. One can only choose to convert into the Church with the baptism of water and Catholic Faith.

Defacto (in reality, practically, explicitly) CCC1257 :The Lord himself affirms that Baptism is necessary for salvation. He also commands his disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all nations and to baptize them.

Dejure (in principle) 'Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.'

The baptism of water is de facto necessary for all. (See above 1257).Since the Catechism implies (See above) that those ‘who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel,’ is defacto known to us, it is stated the baptism is necessary for only ‘those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.’ Baptism is not defacto necessary for those who ‘are ignorant of the Gospel’ etc.

Those who are ignorant of the Gospel are not known to us?!! There is no such known person on earth. We do not know anyone in particular who is saved in this category. So how can we say that baptism of water is needed by only ‘those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.’ A strawman argument?

Defacto (in reality, in actuality on earth in the present times)'The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are "reborn of water and the Spirit." '

Dejure (in principle, in theory):' God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments.'

Defacto God can save someone without us knowing the person saved and it would be known only to God. So this issue is a theory for us, something we accept in principle. We would not know any person on earth saved without the Sacraments.

So why mention it? The baptism of water it is said is defacto needed for all. This is also the dogmatic teaching on extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Does the Catechism imply that those saved without the Sacraments are defacto known to us and so are defacto exceptions to the dogma?

Dejure (in theory) . CCC 1258 ' The Church has always held the firm conviction that those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ. This Baptism of blood, like the desire for Baptism, brings about the fruits of Baptism without being a sacrament. '

Only God knows who has the baptism of desire and who was given the grace to really be a martyr. We cannot judge in general. Of course when the Church declares someone a martyr we accept it.

Since these cases are known only to God how can it be an issue with respect to outside the church there is no salvation? How does it contradict the centuries old ‘rigorist interpretation’ of extra ecclesiam nulla salus? It does not!

Dejure (in theory) CCC 1259:'For catechumens who die before their Baptism, their explicit desire to receive it, together with repentance for their sins, and charity, assures them the salvation that they were not able to receive through the sacrament. '

Yes it is possible only in theory, in principle. Once again we do not know any such case on earth. Does the Catechism imply that these are defacto, known cases and so are exceptions to the dogma? This was the Richard Cushing Error.

CCC1260 "Since Christ died for all, and since all men are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partakers, in a way known to God, of the Paschal mystery."'

Correct. Salvation is available for all (dejure, in principle) however to receive it one needs to defacto enter the Church. (Dominus Iesus 20). One needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of water. (AG 7, LG 14). Defacto one needs the baptism of water. (See above)

Dejure (in theory):'Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of his Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved. It may be supposed that such persons would have desired Baptism explicitly if they had known its necessity.'

Yes in principle (de jure) they can be saved and we do not know who they are in particular. Does the Catechism assume that we know these cases? This would mean that those who are saved in this category are visible and known to us for them to be exceptions. It would be implying that we could telephone or meet them on the street. This is not true.

Are these fundamental errors in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and just as corrections have been made in the past, corrections and clarifications are called for here?

The defacto-defacto reasoning of the Archbishop of Boston and the Jesuits is irrational.

No where does Vatican Council II claim that these ‘exceptions’ are defacto exceptions to the dogma outside the church there is no salvation or that they are the ordinary means of salvation.

Being saved with the baptism of desire etc he said is an impossibility. ( ‘impossibilisimo’).The Franciscan had got it right. The baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are not ‘practical’ ( defacto) exceptions .To claim that they are practical exceptions would be indifferentism and syncretism. It would be a negation of an infallible teaching. This would be a mortal sin and heresy. The stuff of excommunications. It would be a sacrilege for the priest offering Holy Mass.

Today morning at 10.30 a.m the priest offered Holy Mass in Italian with his face towards the altar and not the congregation. Communicants also received the Eucharist kneeling on a single pew, placed in the centre aisle.He was the Rector of the Church, Santa Maria di Annunziata, Rome.The Rector from the community Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate founded by Fr. Stefano Manelli F.I spoke on the necessity of the baptism of water for all people to go to Heaven.

On the feast of the baptism of Our Lord, in his homily he said, that being saved with the baptism of desire is an impossibility and is accepted only in theory.

Most of his homily dealt with the subject of the necessity of the baptism of water for salvation. The ordinary means.

There is the need for missionaries he said who would go out to the pagans. The Church is missionary.

The Rector based his talk on the teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. However he left out the issue of the Protestants and the Orthodox Christians who were baptized with water.

Protestants who die immediately after receiving the baptism of water I thought could go to Heaven. If they lived on after baptism they would need to live the Gospel according to the teachings of the Catholic Church and with the necessary helps of the Sacraments. Without the Sacraments of the Catholic Church they cannot go to Heaven. This is similar to a Catholic in mortal sin who does not use the Sacrament of Penance.He would be on the way to Hell.

The homily today was on a positive and pleasant note according to the instructions of the Vatican and the Vicariate. Since I have been writing on this subject I could understand the priest’s nuances and accent of certain points. In brief what he was saying, and not saying clearly and directly, is that millions of people are oriented to Hell. Since they are not in the Catholic Church.

He was saying really that all the members of non Christian religions (Hindus, Jews, Muslims etc) are oriented to Hell ‘practically’ and we do not know any case ‘practically’, of a non Catholic saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance.

So ‘practically’ there are no known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Since only ‘in theory’ we accept that a non Catholic can be saved with a baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance.

The ordinary way ‘to go to Paradise’ (and avoid the fires of Hell) is the baptism of water given to adults with Catholic Faith in the Catholic Church.

I was thinking to myself, that since practically we do not know any case of a person saved in invincible ignorance, CCC 847-848 (invincible ignorance) is superfluous in the Catechism of the Catholic Church under the subheading Outside the Church No Salvation. Since in reality (practically) we do not know these ‘exceptions’.They cannot be exceptions to the traditional teaching that everyone needs to convert into the Church to avoid Hell.

The Catechism could suggest wrongly, or the reader could imply wrongly, that those saved with the baptism of desire are known to us practically. These cases it could be implied wrongly, are not just theoretical .

Also in these times the confusion has increased. Now due to political pressure the Vatican is teaching wrongly that Jews do not have to convert into the Church for salvation in the present times and that there is no attempt by the Church to convert Orthodox Christians.

Yet according to the dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence and according to the Letter of the Holy Office 1949, all Jews, Orthodox Christians and Protestants are oriented to Hell unless they convert into the Catholic Church.

The Franciscan priest recalled Jesus’ missionary teaching to ‘go out into the whole world and proclaim the Good News and baptize all people .Those who believe will be saved, those who are not baptized and do not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:15-16).Jews,Othodox Christians and Protestants do not believe within the Catholic Church.

CCC 847-848 does not belong under the Section outside the church there is no salvation.

In the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) under the sub heading Outside the Church No Salvation (CCC 846 ) (1) why is it not said that those saved in invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire are not defacto exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus? They are unknown to us.So in reality it is not an issue.In a way it is irrelevant.

So what if all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church? It does not contradict the dogma which says everyone needs to convert into the Church to avoid the fires of Hell.(Cantate Domino, Council of Florence).

It does not even contradict Vatican Council II (LG 14,AG 7) (3) which says all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation.

The Catechism could have just said directly that every one with no exception on earth needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation( from Hell) and the baptism of desire etc are not defacto exceptions to the dogma. Catholics however assume that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are explicitly known to us.The Catechism lends itself to this error.

CCC 845 (4) affirms the dogma outside the church there is no salvation yet it is placed in the Catechism above the sub heading.

Those who know about Jesus and the Church and yet do not enter and those saved in invincible ignorance are known only to God.So why mention it?

Those who ‘know’ ,are mentioned, since it is assumed wrongly that those saved in invincible ignorance , are known to us humans ?

If every one with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church as the dogma outside the church there is no salvation states , then why mention only those who ‘know’? Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger could have assumed that those saved in invincible ignorance are known to us, so it’s an exception!? Hence only those who ‘know’ need to enter the Church.

Vatican Council II and the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 does not say that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are exceptions to the dogma.Neither is it said that these cases are explicilty known to us.So why should CCC 845 be placed above the sub-heading and CCC 846 below it?

Why is CCC 847-848 (5) on invincible ignorance is placed below the sub heading outside the Church there is no salvation? It is irrelevant to the dogma or the subject.Those saved in invicible ignorance are not visibly known to us.

Similarly CCC 1257 (6) says ‘ Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.’ Once again we can see the error. Since those saved with the baptism of desire are assumed to be known to us it is said the baptism of water is necessary only to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have the means to receive the Sacrament.

One may ask when we do not know any of these cases, either way, why mention it ? It is mentioned since the Catechism cannot sate that every one with no exception needs the baptism of water for salvation .It cannot mention this traditional truth since it assumes that those saved with the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are explicitly known to us and so it contradicts the dogma outside the church there is no salvation.

INDIFFERENTISM

To imply that the baptism of desire is visibly known to us and so is a defacto exception to the dogma is indifferentism. It is assuming that there are at present non Catholics on earth, defacto known to us, who are saved in invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire and so they are defacto exceptions to a defined dogma, which Pope Pius XII called an ‘infallible’ teaching (7)

Pope Pius XII condemed indifferentism.Indifferentism is also assuming those saved with the baptism of desire are known to us and so are an exception to the dogma.Indifferentism says there are known, defacto, in- reality cases of non Catholics in other religions who are saved in their religion, so they do not have to enter the Catholic Church with the baptism of water for salvation. Different religions can be defacto paths to salvation.

If in principle, as a concept, we say that a person can be saved in another religion through Jesus and the Church we do not mean that these cases are defacto known to us. If they are defacto not known to us then they are irrelevant to the dogma. Since it is considered that invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are explicitly known to us it means non Catholics are saved de facto in their religion in the present times. This is indifferentism.

Is this the very same syncretism against which Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger cautions us in Dominus Iesus and the CDF Notification on Fr.Jacques Dupuis S.J. ?

There are no exceptions to all people needing the Eucharist for salvation. It is possible that some may not have the means to receive the Eucharist even though they wish to receive the Eucharist at Mass. In general the Eucharist in the Catholic Church is required as necessary for salvation (John 6).

The ordinary means of salvation does not just believe in Jesus Christ without the Catholic Church according to EWTN. Just believing in Jesus is sufficient for salvation is a Protestant teaching rejected by the Letter of the Holy Office 1949. All Protestants are lost unless they convert into the only Church Jesus founded, ‘submission to the Catholic Church and the Sovereign Pontiff is required as necessary for salvation.’

Jesus in the Eucharist is at the centre of the world’s salvation, all need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water (AG 7, LG 14) to be saved from the fires, screams and suffering of Hell.

This is the general, norm the ordinary way that God the Father chose to save all people through His Son who founded only one Church, the Catholic Church.

If there was commitment and motivation just a few parishes and religious communities could have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in all the churches in Rome.
