The Archdiocese of Dublin like Boston is not telling the media that the Catholic Church today is saying that with Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, interpreted rationally, there are no exceptions for the past ecclesiocentrism of the Church.
The Church is officially saying in Magisterial Documents, that Mohammad is lost forever without ‘faith and baptism’ (Ad Gentes 7- all need faith and baptism for salvation/ the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance are not practical exceptions). There is no denial from the Archdiocese of Dublin offices and Archbishop-elect John Joseph Kennedy, at the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican.
Even
here in Rome, my parish priest Fr. Paulo Boumis, at Sant Agapito, Prenistina,
the priests of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa and the priests at
San Leone 1, Prenestina, agree with me. For them too LG 8, 14, 15, 16, UR 3, NA
2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II, refer to hypothetical cases only. They are
invisible people in 1965-2024.So they cannot be practical exceptions for the
dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus of the Council of Florence 1442.
Even
the president of the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI), Cardinal Matteo Zuppi
and the Vicar General of Rome Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, and the Auxiliary
bishops of Rome agree that invisible cases of LG 8, LG 16 etc, cannot be
practical exceptions for the Athanasius Creed which says all need to be
Catholic for salvation from Hell.
The
USCCB, Paulist Fathers in Rome, the American Rector of the University of St.
Thomas Aquinas and the American Rector of the U.S seminary in Rome (PNAC), all
agree that LG 8, 14, 15, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II, are
not objective examples of salvation outside the Church. They can only be known
to God. So there are no known exceptions in the present times for an ecumenism
of return to the Catholic Church. The Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX is not
contradicted by Vatican Council II.
The
Archdiocese of Dublin offices, like those at Boston and the DDF/ Communications, Vatican, keep silent on this issue. It is the
Council which is saying outside the Church there is no salvation – as did Fr.
Leonard Feeney, when his excommunication was lifted by Pope Paul VI. The priest
was allowed to recite the Athanasius Creed.
The
Irish national newspapers and the Irish Catholic News are not reporting on this
issue. The newspapers interpret LG 8, 14, 15, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc as
being physically visible cases and examples of salvation outside the Church.
This is dishonest. It is irrational. How can humans know who is saved with the
baptism of desire (LG 14) or in invincible ignorance (LG 16).
With
Vatican Council II interpreted rationally i.e. LG 16 refer to physically invisible
cases in 2024, the Church returns to traditional faith, morals and mission.
Marriage annulments cannot freely be given by Archbishop-elect Kennedy, in the
name of Vatican Council II interpreted irrationally i.e. invisible cases of LG
16 etc are visible in 2024 and so the Council is ‘ a revolution’ ‘ a new
revelation’.
The
Archdiocese of Dublin and Boston must be honest about Vatican Council II, even
if for political reasons they do not want to proclaim the Catholic Faith. -Lionel Andrades
