Edward Pentin's concept of 'Catholic teaching' is a Christian theology of religious pluralism and salvation. Pope John Paul condemned it and made Cardinal Ratzinger issue a Notification on the book written by Fr. Jaques Dupuis sj.
Pope Benedict's concept of salvation is Christological and ecumenical. So is that of the liberals and Pope Francis. It is belief is Jesus only -even if one lives in mortal sin in the Mormon, Lutheran and Pentecostal Christian communities. This is how it will be in the One World Religion to come.
Reporting on extra ecclesiam nulla salus was banned a few years back on the National Catholic Register, by the Left. Even EWTN maintians it.

Similarly there is also a ban on the Catholic Herald, England.
In his report Does the New Catholic-Muslim Declaration Deviate From Catholic Teaching? 1 only Prof. Roberto dei Mattei mentioned there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.
Josef Seifert projected the Great Commission as the necessity to believe in Jesus even though it excludes membership in the Catholic Church with faith and baptism ( AG 7, LG 14).
This is how Pope Francis and the Masons interpret salvation in the Catholic Church. Pope Francis in Evangelii Gaudium presented a kerygma without the necessity of being a member of the Catholic Church.
Similarly Cardinal Burke and Bishop Athanasius Schneider have been politically correct on this issue and not mentioned an exclusivist ecclesiocentrism which was common in the Catholic Church over the centuries.
They all interpret Vatican Council II with hypothetical cases being objective exceptions to the orthodox passages which support the past ecclesiology of the Catholic Church.
