You may affirm
the baptism of desire theoretically but please do not project it as an
exception for extra ecclesiam
nulla salus (EENS). There are no practical cases. There is no
baptism of desire in our reality. There is no baptism of desire case whom we
can meet. There is no baptism of desire case which we can know of. The baptism
of desire never ever was an exception for traditional EENS. This is common
sense. The popes and saints over the centuries knew this. We must not
re-interpret the popes and saints of the past, as making a mistake. They did
not confuse what is invisible as being visible. The Church before the 1940’s
did not make this mistake. The Church in the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office made this mistake and it
continues to do so.
Without this
mistake the whole Church goes back to Tradition immediately. -Lionel Andrades
