Catholics cannot be followers of the
Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre or the liberals like the
present popes, cardinals and bishops when they create exceptions for the
Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius X. There cannot be practical exceptions for us
humans. There are no practical exceptions in 1965-2022.
Since there are no visible cases of non
Catholics beings saved with the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and in
invincible ignorance, all without the baptism of water. Physically, we cannot
meet or see such people.
So the SSPX and the liberals are saying that
everyone does not really need to be a member of the Catholic Church, since
there are exceptions. In other words, there are visible people, for them to be
exceptions. Invisible and unknown people cannot be practical exceptions for the
Syllabus of Errors, Athanasius Creed, Catechism of Pope Pius X (24Q, 27Q) etc.
For the SSPX and the liberals
everyone does not need to be a member of the Catholic Church for salvation.
Since there are exceptions for the First Commandment, there are exceptions for
the Great Commission, there are exceptions for the Nicene Creed (I believe in
one baptism for the forgiveness of sin, one known baptism and not three) etc.Invisible cases of the baptism of desire are visible exceptions for 16th century extra ecclesiam nulla salus, for them.
In Vatican Council II ( LG 14-baptism of desire) is a rupture with Tradition. For me LG 14 refers to a hypothetical and invisible case and so is not a rupture with Cantate Domino, Council of Florene 1441 on extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
Exceptions change the understanding of
the Creeds and Catechisms. They are mortal sins of faith.
For me there are no exceptions. Since I
interpret Magisterial Documents with the Rational Premise (invisible cases are
invisible) and not the common Irrational Premise (invisible cases are
physically visible).
