Bishop Robert Barron thought he had it made. For the rest of his life he would use a false premise to interpret Vatican Council II and would get away with it. Since outside the Church there was salvation for him, LG 8, LG 16, UR 3 etc being practical exceptions to EENS, he did not have to affirm St. Thomas Aquinas on the strict interpretation of outside the Church no salvation. It had become obsolete for him. -Lionel Andrades
