Catechism of the Pope Pius X : the red is not an exception for the blue

23 Q. In what does the Body of the Church consist?
A. The Body of the Church consists in her external and visible aspect, that is, in the association of her members, in her worship, in her teaching-power and in her external rule and government.

24 Q. To be saved, is it enough to be any sort of member of the Catholic Church?
A. No, to be saved it is not enough to be any sort of member of the Catholic Church; it is necessary to be a living member.

25 Q. Who are the living members of the Church?
A. The living members of the Church are the just, and the just alone, that is, those who are actually in the grace of God.

27 Q. Can one be saved outside the Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church?

A. No, no one can be saved outside the Catholic, Apostolic Roman Church, just as no one could be saved from the flood outside the Ark of Noah, which was a figure of the Church.

29 Q. But if a man through no fault of his own is outside the Church, can he be saved?
A. If he is outside the Church through no fault of his, that is, if he is in good faith, and if he has received Baptism, or at least has the implicit desire of Baptism; and if, moreover, he sincerely seeks the truth and does God's will as best he can such a man is indeed separated from the body of the Church, but is united to the soul of the Church and consequently is on the way of salvation

11 Q. Who are they who are outside the true Church?
A. Outside the true Church are: Infidels, Jews, heretics, apostates, schismatics, and the excommunicated.

12 Q. Who are infidels?
A. Infidels are those who have not been baptised and do not believe in Jesus Christ, because they either believe in and worship false gods as idolaters do, or though admitting one true God, they do not believe in the Messiah, neither as already come in the Person of Jesus Christ, nor as to come; for instance, Mohammedans and the like.

13 Q. Who are the Jews?
A. The Jews are those who profess the Law of Moses; have not received baptism; and do not believe in Jesus Christ.

14 Q. Who are heretics?
A. Heretics are those of the baptised who obstinately refuse to believe some truth revealed by God and taught as an article of faith by the Catholic Church; for example, the Arians, the Nestorians and the various sects of Protestants.

Necessity of Baptism and Obligations of the Baptised

16 Q. Is Baptism necessary to salvation?
A. Baptism is absolutely necessary to salvation, for our Lord has expressly said: "Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God."

17 Q. Can the absence of Baptism be supplied in any other way?
A. The absence of Baptism can be supplied by martyrdom, which is called Baptism of Blood, or by an act of perfect love of God, or of contrition, along with the desire, at least implicit, of Baptism, and this is called Baptism of Desire.

18 Q. To what is the person baptised bound?
A. The person baptised is bound to always profess the faith and observe the Law of Jesus Christ and of His Church.

In the Catechism of Pope St. Pius X the passages in red are hypothetical  and so are not practical exceptions for the passages in blue which are orthodox and support the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Ad Gentes 7 in Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church 845-846.

Aaron Seng at Tradivox and Peter Kwasniewski at Whispers of Restoration would be wrongly interpreting the red as being an exception for the blue. So the conclusion is non traditional, irrational and heretical and schismatic.

- Lionel Andrades

For Aaron Seng and Tradivox, the passages in red contradict the passages in blue. But for me they do not. For me the passages in red are hypothetical cases. They are invisible people in 2024.

"Outside the Church there is no salvation"

846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:
Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.

847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:
Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation.
848 "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."
-Catechism of the Catholic Church 846-848

For Aaron Seng and Tradivox, the passages in red contradict the passages in blue. But for me they do not. For me the passages in red are hypothetical cases. They are invisible people in 2024.

But for Aaron and the traditionalists and liberals in general, the passages in red are non hypothetical cases. They would have to objective and known non Catholics saved outside the Catholic Church for them to be exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the orthodox passages in blue. An invisible person cannot be an exception. Someone has to be there in our reality, he has to be present to be an exception.  - Lionel Andrades

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is Feeneyite . It must not be interpreted with irrational Cushingism for political reasons

III. THE CHURCH IS CATHOLIC

The Church and non-Christians

The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."330 (Lionel : Hypothetically a Muslim can be saved. In reality we cannot know of any such case. So CCC 841 does not contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and neither CCC 845-846 ( Outside the Church there is no salvation)

The Church's bond with non-Christian religions is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city...331(Lionel: Yes salvation is open to all in general but to receive this salvation all need to enter the Catholic Church ( CCC 845-846, Dominus Iesus 20 , Ad Gentes 7 etc).

The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as "a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life."332 ( Lionel: Yes. For salvation they must accept Jesus in the Catholic Church.( Ad Gentes 7, CCC 845-846 etc). Outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation.

In their religious behavior, however, men also display the limits and errors that disfigure the image of God in them:Very often, deceived by the Evil One, men have become vain in their reasonings, and have exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and served the creature rather than the Creator. Or else, living and dying in this world without God, they are exposed to ultimate despair.333

To reunite all his children, scattered and led astray by sin, the Father willed to call the whole of humanity together into his Son's Church. The Church is the place where humanity must rediscover its unity and salvation. The Church is "the world reconciled." She is that bark which "in the full sail of the Lord's cross, by the breath of the Holy Spirit, navigates safely in this world." According to another image dear to the Church Fathers, she is prefigured by Noah's ark, which alone saves from the flood.334 (Lionel: CCC 845 is saying outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation)

We cannot meet or see someone saved in ignorance. This can only be known to God. So being saved in ignorance is not an objective exception for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus or CCC 845-846).The Catechism of the Catholic Church supports Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The Catechism is in harmony with the Catechisms of Trent, Baltimore, Pius X etc

CURRENT ENDORSEMENTS

Cardinals and Bishops of the Church around the world have praised our catechism collection:

bk1_edited.jpg

Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke

Prefect Emeritus, Apostolic Signatura

How are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard?” (Rom 10:14). At the heart of the profound crisis of Faith, which we are witnessing in the Church today, is the lack of sound catechesis. In the same way, sound and faithful catechesis will be at the heart of the renewal of Our Holy Mother the Church. The Catholic Catechism Index does much to hasten that renewal by making readily accessible to all Catholics the many faithful catechisms which have provided an irreplaceable service to Our Lord’s Spotless Bride, the Church, throughout the Christian centuries. May God bless the work of Tradivox and make it redound to His glory and to the salvation of countless souls.

CdlGerhardMuller.jpg

Gerhard Cardinal Müller

Prefect Emeritus, Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

The Catholic Catechism Index makes crucial sources of the sacred tradition accessible to the contemporary reader and scholar. Intelligently and in a resourceful way, Tradivox presents ancient truths easily and in a user-friendly manner, especially to our young Catholic faithful who are often desirous of knowing the depths of the faith yet do not know where to start. Projects like this are invaluable for those studying, or otherwise interested in, Catholic theology, particularly today, at a time in which we often lack a good understanding of the continuity and stability of Catholic teaching. Without such understanding, our efforts of evangelization are shallow. I am very pleased to endorse this wonderful effort and wish it worldwide success.

This collection of catechisms across the centuries known as Tradivox demonstrates the fidelity of the Catholic leadership as their bishops faithfully teach what Christ taught, preserved for us in the apostolic tradition, developing and representing this deposit of doctrine to answer new challenges and exploit new opportunities.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider

Auxiliary Bishop, St. Mary's in Astana

This project will convincingly show the essentially unchanging nature of the apostolic doctrine across time and space, and so I invite the faithful of the entire world to support this historic effort, as we seek to restore the perennial Catechism of the Church. The project of a Catechism restoration on behalf of Tradivox will surely be of great benefit not only to many confused and disoriented Catholic faithful, but also to all people who are sincerely seeking the ultimate and authentic truth about God and man, which one can find only in the Catholic and Apostolic Faith, and which is the only religion and Faith willed by God and to which God calls all men.

BishopStrickland_jg-675x381_edited.jpg

Bishop Joseph Strickland

Bishop Emeritus of Tyler, Texas

Tradivox promises to be a treasury of truth and tradition that is desperately needed in the world today. We need to return to the basic sources of our beautiful traditions of Catholic Faith and make them accessible to this generation. Too much has been lost, diminished or ignored in the haze of modernity that is nearing a crescendo of darkness in these days. The documents that Tradivox will bring to light and re-introduce to the world give clear and steady answers to the questions of today. May many read and learn the Truth of God that guides us.

HISTORIC ENDORSEMENTS

Our catechisms have been hailed across hundreds of years, and thousands of miles:

Pope Leo XIII_edited.jpg

Pope Leo XIII

Vicar of Christ

"[The Catechism of Trent] is remarkable at once for the richness and exactness of its doctrine, and for the elegance of its style; it is a precious summary of all theology, both dogmatic and moral. He who understands it well, will have always at his service those aids by which a priest is enabled to preach with fruit, to acquit himself worthily of the important ministry of the confessional and of the direction of souls, and will be in a position to refute the objections of unbelievers."

Henniweb_edited.jpg

Abp. John Henni

Archbishop of Milwaukee

"Deharbe's Catechisms, both the larger and the smaller, have for a long time been in use in many schools of my diocese... It is, therefore, scarcely necessary for me to declare that the Catholic Catechism of Father Jos. Deharbe, S.J., has my fullest approval, and that I specially recommend the same in its newly revised form[.]"

manning mw116492_edited.jpg

Henry Cardinal Manning

Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster

"The Catechism of Frassinetti is a good example of what a Catechist may do... I therefore very heartily recommend the use of this Catechism to the Clergy and Faithful."

langdon archbishop-grace_resized_edited_

Abp. Thomas Grace

Titular Archbishop of Siunia

"An Explanation of the Baltimore Catechism supplies a want which is generally felt by the clergy and others engaged in teaching Catechism. Apart from the very satisfactory development of the answers to the questions and apt illustrations of the subjects treated, the additional questions inserted in your book give it a special value."

Bishop_Newark_James_Roosevelt_Bayley_edi

Bp. James Bayley

Bishop of Newark

"I am glad to hear that you intend to republish Perry's Instructions on the Catechism. It is an excellent little book. As a manual for catechists, or as a book of instruction, developing and explaining the Catechism, it is the best work of the sort I am acquainted with."

bourne_edited.jpg

Francis Cardinal Bourne

Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster

"We cordially bless the second edition of this work [The Catechism Simply Explained], and trust that it will continue to do the good which has so largely resulted from it in the past."

New Online Library: 1000 Years of Catechisms is flawed. Since it can be interpreted with Cushingism or Feeneyism, with the irrational premise or the rational premise and the conclusion is different

There can be two interpretations of the Catechisms.

So in the Catechism of Pope Pius X, 24Q (invincible ignorance) would contradict 27 Q and 29Q (other religions are not paths to salvation, outside the Church there is no salvation), for them- but not for me.

For them 29 Q would be a visible case of someone saved outside the Catholic Church but for me it is an invisible case. They are irrational and I am rationalFor them the Catechism contradicts itself but for me there is no contradiction.

Similarly they would accept the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston which indicates that invisible cases of the baptism of desire are visible exceptions for Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Similarly Lumen Gentium 16 (invincible ignorance) and Lumen Gentium 14(being saved with the baptism of desire) would be exceptions for the dogma EENS, the Athanasius Creed and the Syllabus of Errors for them - but not for me.

Since are premises are different are conclusions are different. For them invisible people are visible and for me they are invisible only.

For them invisible people are visible exceptions for the dogma EENS. For me invisible cases cannot be exceptions for the dogma EENS. 1

Bishop Schneider Announced New Online Library: 1000 Years of Catechisms

Bishop Athanasius Schneider announced in an August 18 video the launch of a website called TradiVox.com.

CathVox.com would have been a much better name. It digitises and republishes dozens of historical catechisms written over the last 1000 years. The software works like a chatbot with AI. After entering a question, the user can choose which catechisms to consult for the answer.

Msgr. Schneider explained that the project demonstrates the continuity of Catholic teaching through time and is a tool for people seeking the truth.

It is not enough to present Traditional Catholic Catechisms

Image result for website whispers of Restoration
The website Whispers of Restoration states that among their most accessed resources is the Traditional Catholic Catechisms. But they do not realize that this is meaningless .Since if they interpret these Catechisms with the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and being saved in invincible ignorance as referring to known people saved outside the Catholic Church, as does the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF), then these catechisms become a rupture with the old ecclesiology ( supported by these traditional catechisms), the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Syllabus of Errors( ecumenism of return etc), and they make Mission and the proclamation of the Social Reign of Jesus unnecessary.
So when they refer to the Catechisms they have to make it clear that they can be interpreted in two ways. For example BOD and I.I mentioned in the Catechisms of the Council of Trent and Pius X.Catholics  interpret the baptism of desire(BOB), baptism of blood(BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I) as referring to known or unknown people, objective or implicit cases, visible or invisible people or as I put it, it is Cushingite or Feeneyite.
The editorial team at the Whispers of Restoration do not realize that they are interpreting all the Catechisms with Cushingism, they use an irrational premise and so there is a hermeneutic of rupture with Tradition.
When hypothetical cases of BOD, BOB and I.I are considered to be non hypothetical and objective people in the present times saved outside the Church, even though none of them are visible, I call this action Cushingism.
When hypothetical cases of  BOD, BOB and I.I are just hypothetical there are no concrete examples of salvation outside the Church. So there are no practical exceptions to the dogma EENS, the past ecclesiology, the ecumenism of return, the Syllabus of Errors, the need for Mission to non Catholics and the proclamation of the necessity of the non separation of Church and State with the Social Reign of Christ the King.
When they interpret the traditional Catholic Catechisms with Cushingism then they become a rupture with EENS( Feeneyite) and Vatican Council II ( Feneeyite). It is in harmony with EENS(Cushingite) and Vatican Council II(Cushingite).
When the traditional catechisms affirm the past exclusivist ecclesiology of the Catholic Church, the strict interpretation of the dogma EENS, then there is a rupture with Vatican Council II (Cushingite) and so the editors of Whispers of Restoration reject the Council.Since obviously Vatican Council II(C) is a rupture with Traditon.
Cushingism, the false premise, the false reasoning and heresy creates the rupture and not the Council per se.
This is what the editors at Whispers of Restoration do not seem to understand and they are unable to discuss this issue. They cannot critique what I write.
So they have excluded the Catechism of the Catholic Church(1994) from the list of Catechisms since obviously they are interpreting it with Cushingism. So for them the Catechism(1994) is a rupture with the other Catechisms and the past ecclesiology of the Church.
Like wise they have produced books critical of Vatican Council II, which have all interpreted the Council with Cushingism and so there is a rupture with the Traditional Catechisms of the Church.
I affirm all those Traditional Catechisms along with the Catechism of the Catholic Church(1994) and Vatican Council II and I interpret them all with Feeneyism.
With Feeneyism as a theology and philosophy the editors of Whispers of Restoration will not have to be called, schismatics and heretics.
Instead they can call the liberals and the ecclesiastics at the Vatican, heretics and schismatics.
With their Cushingite reasoning, they create a rupture with Tradition.
Then Whispers of Restoration can appeal to all to interpret magisterial documents with a rational and traditional theology to create a hermeneutic of continuity with the past ecclesiology and an ecumenism of return.-Lionel Andr
