Question:
Exactly how do you know that Brother Thomas Augustine has “compromised”? I need details and facts, not your own speculations.

Brother Thomas Augustine MICM, Prior at the St. Benedict Center, Still River,MA, USA,a traditionalist, has compromised
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2017/12/brother-thomas-augustine-micm-prior-at.html
Fact 1) Bishop Robert McManus, Bishop of Worcester interprets Vatican Council II with Cushingism instead of Feeneyism.Brother Thomas Augustine has had to accept this.
I asked him and the Bishops Office for a clarification or correction and there was none.
Fact 2) Brother Thomas Augustine has never interpreted Vatican Council II with Feeneyism. He has never said that Vatican Council II is Feeneyite.Instead in my correspondence with him a few years back he rejected Vatican Council II.He was rejecting Vatican Council II(Cushingite). He was always interpreting Vatican Council II with Cushingism. This is an indirect rejection of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(Feeneyite).
Fact 3) In my correspondence with him and those of his supporters a few years back he was interpreting LG 16, LG 8, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc as being exceptions to Tradition and EENS. They could only be exceptions if they refer to known people saved outside the Church. This is irrational. This though would be magisterial and a rejection of Feeneyite EENS.
This is the error also of the St. Benedict Center, Richmond N.H where Brother Andre Marie MICM is the Prior.
Fact 4: For me Vatican Council II is not a rupture with Tradition since LG 16 etc are hypothetical cases and are not known people in 2017.So Vatican Council II is in harmony with the past ecclesiology of the Church. It does not contradict the Syllabus of Errors on ecumenism, other religions and the need to proclam the Social Reign of Christ the King since there is no known salvation outside the Church. It supports the need for mission based the dogma EENS as it was known to the missionaries in the 16th century.I have made this known many times on my blog. There never was a message of acceptance from Brother Thomas Augustine.
These are the main reasons why I say that Brother Thomas Augustine has compromised and so has canonical recognition for his wonderful community.
1) He has not affirmed Vatican Council II (Feeneyite) in public and if he did the Vatican would not have approved his community.
2) He has not rejected Vatican Council II(Cushingite) in public even though it is official at Worcester and magisterial for the Vatican.
3) In my communication with him he has always interpreted Vatican Council II with Cushingism and this is a rejection of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ( Feeneyite).
Then there are additional factors. In my communication with one of the Sisters of the Still River community on Youtube she would not say that non Catholics are on the way to Hell.
Then the Sisters visited the owner of A Blog for Dallas Area Catholics and he reported them accepting the baptism of desire and rejecting Feeneyite EENS. I wrote about it on my blog and sent them an e-mail.There was no clarification or correction from them.
Then at the time of discussions on pro-St.Benedict Center forums(Pascendi etc) the supporters of both the St.Benedict Centers, would use theology to defend their position, mostly against supporters of the SSPX.In their discussion they took it for granted that the baptism of desire was a known case, a physically visible case in our reality and it was from this position that they argued theologically against it.
So since Ecclesia Dei wants the traditionalists to receive canonical status, which they have granted to the FSSP and the Institute of Christ the King, they expect the St. Benedict Center, Still River to also do 'the needful'. The FSSP and Institute of Christ the King have accepted Vatican Council II (Cushingite). The same was expected of other religious communities. The same is now expected of the Society of St. Pius X(SSPX).So I conclude that the St. Benedict Center has accepted the conditions of Ecclesia Dei and has not denied this when asked on quite a few reports on this blog.-Lionel Andrades
