Every Catholic is obliged to accept the
dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS)
which was defined by two Church Councils, the Fourth Lateran Council
(1215) and the Council of Florence(1442).These Councils are not contradicted by
hypothetical cases of the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and invincible ignorance.
So Vatican Council II (LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc) does not have any practical exception for EENS.
This was known to Fr. Leonard Feeney and
the St. Benedict Center of his time. So he said that there are no visible cases
of the baptism of desire. He meant that they do not exist in our reality. They
cannot be seen. They are invisible cases of people on earth.
So when Vatican Council II (LG 8, 14, 16
etc) does not contradict the dogma EENS there cannot be a New Evangelization,
New Ecumenism, New Ecclesiology etc.
We are back to the old evangelization,
traditional mission based upon exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church. We
return to the old 'ecumenism of return' to the Catholic Church. We are back to
the old theology which says outside the Church there is no salvation, there is
no known salvation. So we are back to the old Church in the Catholic Church.Rome has come back to the Faith. - Lionel Andrades
