The Church can be considered as a communion and a Sacrament and this does not exclude it being the only path to salvation. The Church may be considered a Mystery but this does not exclude it having an exclusiveness and superiority in salvation.

Even if the Church is a communion, Sacrament, Mystery, Body of Christ and other things for Cardinal Ratzinger, the Church still is the only path to salvation ( Notification, CDF, Dupuis 2001) and outside the Church there is no salvation(Ad Gentes 7).The Church is still the only Ark of Noah that saves in the flood(CCC 845) and God wants all people to be united in the Catholic Church(CCC 845). The Church can be compared to a Door or the narrow gate(Matt.7:13-14)) in which all need to enter as members, with faith and baptism (AG 7, LG 14). to avoid the fires of Hell ( for salvation).

So the old ecclesiology of the Church has not changed after Vatican Council II.

It is important to note that in the Catechism of the Catholic Church 848, Outside the Church there is no salvation, when it is said that all salvation comes through Jesus and the Church, this does not exclude all needing to enter the Church with faith and baptism for salvation(AG 7). In the past the sedevacantists would say that the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and invincible ignorance are exceptions to the past exclusivist ecclesiology and an ecumenism of return and so the Syllabus of Errors was contradicted.Those days are over.

They agree that  we cannot see or meet someone  saved outside the Church in 2019 or the last 50 years.But they will not admit that this was the LOHO mistake.

For Ralph Martin and Robert Fastiggi the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and invincible ignorance(I.I) are not visible people saved outside the Church in 2019. So they are not exceptions to the Syllabus of Errors, the past ecclesiology and an ecumenism of return.

But for the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 , BOD, BOB and I.I are exceptions. This was a mistake. It was an error in reasoning.The same error in reasoning was there among the Council  Fathers at Vatican Council II  e.g Cardinal Cushing and the American Jesuits, Fr. Karl Rahner and Fr. Joseph Ratzinger.

So without the error in LOHO and Vatican Council II the Church is without heresy and schism and there is no New Ecumenism. We are back to the Old Ecclesiology with exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.

So when there is exclusive salvation and an ecumenism of return the Syllabus of Errors is not contradicted. Neither is the Athanasius Creed contradicted when it affirms exclusive salvation and it is understood that there are only Catholics in Heaven.-Lionel Andrades

Since they too do not support exclusive salvation in the Church.It is upon on exclusive salvation, with no known exceptions in the present times, that is based the proclamation of the Social Reign of Christ the King over all political legislation.It is the basis for general mission which emphasizes that need for membership in the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

Similarly the bloggers who support  the SSPX interpret Vatican Council II as a break with Tradition and not in harmony with Tradition and exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.

At Abu Dhabi Pope Francis interpreted Vatican Council II as a rupture with exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church and none of the bloggers objected to it. Since they all make the same mistake on Vatican Council II-Lionel Andrades

Yesterday I checked the National Catholic Reporter, Tablet and Crux . There were no articles on Vatican Council II. This was good. It is important for them to get on in life without Vatican Council II.

If they post a report naming liberal theologians  who were present at the Council, I would say, ' So what? The Council is still traditional when interpreted without the false premise'.

If they would write that Vatican Council II was an ecumenical Council I would post a report asking, 'So what , Untitatis Redintigratio 3 does not contradict an ecumenism of return. It refers to a speculativeand hypothetical case only'.

If they would refer to Lument Gentium 8 ( subsists it/ elements of sanctification and truth) I would remind them that they do not know any one in 2019, saved outside the Catholic Church.They do not know any one saved outside the Church where the Catholic Church allegedly subisists. Neither do we know any one saved with elements of sanctification and truth outside the Church.So there is no rupture with Tradition here.

Lumen Gentium 8 does not contradict the Syllabus of Errors and the Athanasius Creed.

The Catholic Church is the Door and the only Ark of Salvation. It is the only path to salvation and all need faith and the baptism of water(AG7,LG 14) to avoid Hell ( for salvation).

The Church being Communion and Sacrament does not exclude it being the only path to salvation.Similarly when the Catechism of the Catholic Church 846 says all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church does not exclude the necessity for all to enter the Catholic Church as members, to avoid Hell ( for salvation).
 

Cardinal Walter Kasper sees the Church as Mystery and his book is recommended reading on Ecclesiology at the pontifical universities. This was approved by Pope Benedict.It excludes the Church being the only path to salvation,the narrow gate, the door and the Ark of Noah.-Lionel Andrades
