The following
is Letter 906 of Paix Liturgique, published in French on
December 21, 2022.
In this report, Rorate
Caeili correspondents, and especially Peter Kwasniewski, do not mention that
the central issue in Traditionis Custode is Vatican Council II i.e. the
Council, in LG 8,14,16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc, do not refer to objective people,
known non Catholics in 1965-2022.They do not refer to non Catholics saved, outside the Catholic Church, without
faith and the baptism of water. This is a given.if there were such cases they would be in Heaven. we could not know them. But this is not acknowledged by
Kwasniewski, Wolfe and F.G.
For the Rorate Caeili
correspondents and Pope Francis, LG 8, 14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc, are
objective exceptions for traditional extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the
Athanasius Creed, the Syllabus of Errors ( ecumenism of return and religious
liberty), the Catechism of Pope Pius X ( other religions not being paths to
salvation-24Q,27Q), the ecclesiology of the Roman Misal ( 1870) and Tradition
in general.
Invisible people are
visible for Rorate Caeili as it was for Archbishop Lefebvre, Michael Davies and
Dietrich von Hildebrand and Roberto dei Mattei.
This is the Vatican
Council II of Traditionis Custode that Rorate wants all to accept, as do the
FSSP and the English and American liberal cardinals and bishops.
The main issue in Traditionis Custode is Vatican Council II, since if the Council is interpreted rationally, there is no break with Tradition. So VC 2 rational is not accepted by Pope Francis and the Left. The CDF wants the break with Tradition.
Kwasniewski like the French cardinals and bishops still interprets Lumen Gentium 16 (being saved in invincible ignorance) in 2022-2023 as referring to physically visible and known non Catholics saved outside the Church.Otherwise how could there be exceptions for Feeneyite EENS? This is the official liberal narrative of the Vatican and the Left.They do not want to affirm Feeneyite EENS.
In this sense Rorate
Caeili is not really traditional. Traditionalists must accept the Syllabus of
Errors without projecting Vatican Council II as a break with Tradition.
Kwasniewski, Rorate and
Mattei are not liberal heretics like Cardinal Roche, Grillo and the faculty at
the University of St. Anselm, Rome (who reject the theology of St. Benedict),
but they are conservative modernists who interpret the Council irrationally
