Fribourg, February 21, 2022

On Friday, February 4, 2022, two members of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, Fr. Benoît Paul-Joseph, Superior of the District of France, and Fr. Vincent Ribeton, Rector of St. Peter’s Seminary in Wigratzbad, were received in private audience by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, for nearly an hour.

During the very cordial meeting, they recalled the origins of the Fraternity in 1988, the Pope expressed that he was very impressed by the approach taken by its founders, their desire to remain faithful to the Roman Pontiff and their trust in the Church. He said that this gesture should be “preserved, protected and encouraged”.

In the course of the audience, the Pope made it clear that institutes such as the Fraternity of St. Peter are not affected by the general provisions of the Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes, since the use of the ancient liturgical books was at the origin of their existence and is provided for in their constitutions.

The Holy Father subsequently sent a decree signed by him and dated February 11, the day the Fraternity was solemnly consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, confirming for the members of the Fraternity the right to use the liturgical books in force in 1962, namely: the Missal, the Ritual, the Pontifical and the Roman Breviary.

Grateful to the Holy Father, the members of the Fraternity of St. Peter are in thanksgiving for this confirmation of their mission. They invite all the faithful who feel close to them as a spiritual family to attend or join them in prayer at the Mass tomorrow, on the feast of the Chair of St. Peter, and to pray for the Supreme Pontiff.

The Fraternity of St. Peter will have to continue to interpret Vatican Council II with the False Premise instead of the Rational Premise to create a fake break with Tradition ( Syllabus of Errors, EENS etc).

Like the other Ecclesial Dei communities they will have to continue to interpret Vatican Council II with a Fake Premise as is suggested by Traditionis Custode.-Lionel Andrades

The editors of Il Messaggero, la Reppublica, Correira della Serra and daily Avvenire interpret Vatican Council II with an Irrational and not Rational Premise. There reports on the Council are naive.

WHAT IS THE RATIONAL PREMISE?

The Catechism of the Catholic Church 846 says outside the Church there is no salvation and we know that there are no physically visible cases of being saved with the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance in 1965-2022.So CCC 847-848 (invincible ignorance) is not a practical exception for CCC 846.This is the rational approach. Invisible cases of being saved in invincible ignorance are invisible in 2022.This is the Rational Premise (invisible cases are invisible). The Irrational Premise is invisible cases are visible. LG 16 refers to a physically visible case in 2022.

So with the Rational Premise CCC 847-848 does not contradict CCC 846 or the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Syllabus of Errors and the Athanasius Creed. It is in harmony with the past Magisterium. There is no schism or heresy with the Rational Premise.

There is a hermeneutic of continuity with Tradition (EENS etc) when the Rational Premise is chosen. EENS today is the same as it was the for Jesuits in the 16the century since there are no practical exceptions mentioned in Vatican Council II.There is no development of doctrine. The ecclusivist ecclesiology of the Catholic Church in the Patristic period and the Middle Ages is the same as today with Vatican Council II interpreted with the Rational Premise. There is no rupture with the ecclesiology and theology of Holy Mass today in all rites today and that of the Roman Missal over the centuries, before 1965.

If Prof. Alberto Melloni of the Bologna School would interpret Vatican Council II without the false premise of the New Theology, the Italian Government may not continue to finance him.He would be taking the Catholic Church back to Tradition
