Matt Fradd only interviews Cushingites and then asks them about extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS). Only those who project hypothetical cases as being objective exceptions to the strict interpretation of EENS, are interviewed and cited. Why does not he interview Brother Andre Marie MICM ? Brother Andre Marie told Anthony Flanders in an interview that speculative theology must not be confused with practical theology.

Fr. Stefano Visintin osb, Vice Rector, University of St. Anselm , Rome has said that the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and invincible ignorance, are not exceptions to EENS. The apologist John Martigoni has the same message. This is also the view of U.S Archbishop Thomas Gullickson, papal Nuncio to Switzerland and Leichenstein : Ralph Martin sets a bad example

Ralph Martin sets a bad example when he presents hypothetical probabilities  which can exist only in our mind, as being practical exceptions to St. Thomas Aquinas  on extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS).This is common mistake in the Catholic Church and Ralph Martin and Scott Hahn should avoid it.

Lumen Gentium 16 does not tell us that we can know of non Catholics saved outside the Church without the Sacraments.

Romans 1 and 2 does not claim that we can see or meet someone saved outside the Catholic Church.

We don ot know any one who will be saved outside the Catholic Church only because  'God is not limited to the Sacraments'(CCC 1257).

We do not know any one who will be saved outside the Church, where 'the true Church of Christ subsists it' (LG 8).

Similarly if any one is saved outside the Catholic Church with 'elements of sanctification and truth in other religions' (LG 8) it would be known only to God.Now it's a zero case in our reality.

Jimmy Akins gets a salary from Catholic Answers it was reported. He projects a Cushingite version of Vatican Council II , EENS, the Catechisms and Creeds. If he will interpret Magisterial documents with Feeneyism, he would no more earn a monthly income. Since he will not represent Catholic Answers, which is under the Left and the US bishops

Fr.Davide Pagliardi, the present Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) when he was the Rector of the SSPX seminary in Argentina, was interpretating Vatican Council II, with a false premise, just like Cardinal Bergorglio. They were both liberals and not Feeneyites. So there was no tension between them. They were interpreting the Council and EENS like the liberals At that time in the USA Bishop Donald Sanborn and Bishop Mark Pivarunas were also interpreting Vatican Council II with the false premise, otherwise they would be Feeneyites. Now if they all interpret Vatican Council II without the false premise they would be Feeneyites and would be opposed by the Left. So they keep quiet

If Pope Benedict did not use the false premise he would be a Feeneyite. If he did not use the New Theology he would be affirming 16th century EENS. It is only as a Cushingite that there can be a development of doctrine with Vatican Council II. Similarly for Ralph Martin, Scott Hahn and Matt Fradd, only with hypothetical cases there can be a development of doctrine on EENS. It is only by projecting invisible cases mentioned in Vatican Council II as being physically visible that there is the familiar development of doctrine of the liberals

St.Thomas Aquinas had a Catholic identity. He affirmed the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS).He did not project invisible cases of being saved in invincible ignorance as being visible exceptions to traditional exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church. This is common sense. It is common sense that we cannot physically see any exceptions to EENS.This is something obvious in any age. Yet the irrationality, the false premise, is common. It is used by by Matt Fradd, Steve Ray, Tim Staples, Trent Horn, Patrick Coffin and Jimmy Akins

When the time of persecution and purification of the Church comes, which Ralph Martin mentioned, it would be useful and important for Catholics to be able to know and affirm the Faith, and say like St. Thomas Aquinas that outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation

There is no one on EWTN who says that Vatican Council II does not contradict the strict interpretation of EENS, according to St. Thomas Aquinas.Lumen Gentium 16 is not a visible example of salvation outside the Catholic Church.Ralph Martin has a regular program on EWTN and he is not going to speak the truth.

It's unethical for Ralph Martin and Scott Hahn to not affirm St. Thomas Aquinas on extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and then present hypothetical cases from Vatican Council II (LG 16 etc) as being visible and practical exceptions to traditional exclusive salvation, which they never affirm clearly

It's unethical for Ralph Martin and Scott Hahn to not affirm St. Thomas Aquinas on extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and then present hypothetical cases from Vatican Council II (LG 16 etc) as being visible and practical exceptions to traditional exclusive salvation, which they never affirm clearly. They never say clearly that all non Catholics are oriented to Hell unless they accept Jesus in the Catholic Church.

Instead Ralph Martin, like Charles Curran, says that we cannot judge. Both are liberals.

They could judge, when they meet a non Catholic, if they would affirm the strict interpretation of EENS according to Aquinas and Augustine.

The two saints present the norm for salvation and so we can judge that all non Catholics are oriented to Hell, without faith and baptism, at the time of death.-Lionel Andrades

Ralph Martin and Matt Fradd present a list of false premises to contradict the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus which they do not quote

Ralph Martin and Matt Fradd present a list of false premises to contradict the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus which they do not quote.

They present 'possibilities' as being objective exceptions to the necessity of all to be members of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

Indirectly and in a subtle way they suggest that there are visible exceptions to the strict interpretation of EENS- the visible exceptions include, Lumen Gentium 16.

Why is LG 16 a visible exception to EENS for Ralph Martin ?

For me it is unethical to present LG 16 as an exception to St. Thomas Aquinas on EENS, as if there is a visible case of a non Catholic saved outside the Church.

But without these 'visible exceptions' Ralph Martin must affirm the strict interpretation of EENS according to Aquinas and Augustine and he and Fradd and Scott Hahn do not want to do this. -Lionel Andrades
