Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre was correct
when he rejected Vatican Council II ( irrational ). Vatican Council II
interpreted with the mistake of the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston is not Magisterial.
However when LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3,
NA 2, GS 22 etc are interpreted rationally, the Council is in harmony with the
Magisterium over the centuries. There is a continuity with Tradition. Vatican
Council II is then Magisterial.
So even though Rahner, Ratzinger and
Lefebvre and the popes, made a mistake, we can interpret the same Vatican
Council II, rationally and it becomes Magisterial. In this sense Vatican Council II
is Magisterial.
