Sister Maria Philomena MICM,
Director, St. Augustine Institute of Wisdom interprets Vatican Council II with
a Rational Premise but Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, chose
to interpret the Council as a break with Tradition with a False Premise. They
also did not tell Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre that he could interpret Vatican
Council II with the Rational Premise.
They did not tell Archbishop Lefebvre that they were interpreting the Council with a False Premise to create a false rupture with Tradition and this could be avoided. They wanted him to do the same.It is not known if the mistake was innocent. There is no clarification from Pope Benedict today.
Archbishop Lefebvre and the SSPX bishops would not accept Vatican
Council II interpreted with a False Premise since there was an obvious break
with Tradition. It would be heretical and schismatic. Yet Pope John Paul II and
Cardinal Ratzinger accepted this irrational interpretation of the Council.
Pope Francis is
now imposing this same irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II, upon
the whole Church, through Traditionis Custode.
The SSPX bishops are not told that they can affirm Vatican Council II with a Rational Premise and so there will be a continuity with the theology of the pre-1962 missal.
Also there is no dialogue with the sedevacantist community Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen (CMRI), which has hundreds of priests and nuns.
Bishop Mark Pivarunas, the Superior General, does not interpret Vatican Council II with the Rational Premise.
The CMRI interprets the baptism of desire with the False Premise.It is there on the home page of their website.If the CMRI and Cardinal Luiz Ladaria sj agree to interpret the baptism of desire with the Rational Premise we can have unity on theology and doctrine in the Catholic Church.
Vatican Council II , rational, would not be a reason to go into sedevacantism.
Some sisters have left the CMRI( see above) but they still interpret Vatican Council II with the False Premise.
It may be mentioned that the Jesuit Fr. Leonard Feeney in Boston was being forced by the Church to interpret the baptism of desire etc as being a visible person in the 1940s. He would not do this.For him there were no visible cases of a non Catholic saved outside the Catholic Church, with the baptism of desire.
Yet this was the False Premise being used by the Jesuits.It was there in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 to the Archbishop of Boston with reference to Fr. Leonard Feeney.The mistake is accepted today by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith .
The CDF Archbishop-Secretaries, wanted Brother Andre Marie MICM, Prior, at the St. Benedict Center, New Hampshire, to accept this objective and factual error.
Pope Pius XII and the subsequent popes, let the mistake pass. They did not lift the excommunication of the priest, who was expelled by the Jesuits.
Pope Paul VI who lifted the excommunication after Fr. Leonard Feeney recited the Athanasius Creed which says all need to be members of the Catholic Church for salvation.
However Pope Paul VI did not correct the mistake in public and neither did he interpret Vatican Council II with the Rational Premise.
Cardinal Ratzinger as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith incorporated the False Premise in two papers of the International Theological Commission, with the support of Fr. Luiz Ladaria, who is now a cardinal and prefect of the CDF.
TRADITIONIS CUSTODE CAN BE RE-INTERPRETED
Now the issue is Traditionis Custode. Sister Maria Philomena says that the Council is being interpreted with a Rational Premise by her community.So even Vatican Council II mentioned in Traditionis Custode could be interpreted with a Rational Premise by her community, the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in the USA.
Any Catholic can re-interpreted it.
Since the False Premise is not Magisterial. So those who use the Rational Premise would be traditional, non heretical and non schismatic.
However Pope Francis is interpreting Vatican Council II with the False Premise like Pope Paul VI.Bishops have to interpret the Council with the False Premise and only then permit the Latin Mass for those who do the same.
