Comunicato stampa di Venerdì Santo 2010 : La preghiera revisionata di Venerdì Santo è per la conversione degli ebrei nel tempo presente secondo il Concilio Vaticano II

Comunicato stampa di Venerdì Santo (Press Release for Italian media)

Sta provando a proteggere qualcuno? Tanta gente sta andando a inferno e non parla o non scrive a questo proposito?

REVISED GOOD FRIDAY PRAYER IS FOR CONVERSION OF JEWS IN PRESENT TIMES ACCORDING TO VATICAN COUNCIL II ( Good Friday Press Release )

Revised Good Friday Prayer is for the conversion of the Jews in the present time according to Vatican Council II

Vatican Council II indicates that all Jews and Muslims in Rome are on the way to Hell. Since they know about the Catholic Church and have not converted they are damned at the time of death (Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II).

So this Good Friday there will be prayers for the conversion of the Jews. The prayers will be said in all the Catholic churches, in different rites, during the solemn Good Friday services.

According to Mr. Lionel Andrades 55, a national, award winning Pakistani journalist (APNS Best Reporter of the Year, 1988) he will be praying this Good Friday for the conversion of the Jews and people of other religions.

It may be mentioned that the Catholic Church has not retracted the ex cathedra dogma outside the Church there is no salvation(extra ecclesiam nulla salus) according to the Franciscans of the Immaculate, Rome the community founded by Fr. Stefano Manelli.

The dogma is in accord with Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (See blog: eucharistandmission)

Lionel Andrades was sent to Rome (2002) by Bishop Anthony Lobo (retd) bishop of Rawalpindi-Islamabad, Pakistan to study to be a priest. He was removed from two pontifical seminaries and one university in Rome (Maria Mater Ecclesia and Beda College, Rome and Regina Apostolorum) for affirming in public the ex cathedra dogma. Over the last four years or so he has been sleeping at night outside a church in the centre of Rome with the help of Catholic nuns of the church. He loves Rome and has been happy here.

VATICAN COUNCIL II SAYS ALL MUSLIMS, JEWS IN ROME, ITALY ARE GOING TO HELL

Contrary to what your parish priest has been saying Vatican Council II indicates that all Muslims and Jews in Rome and Italy are on the way to Hell.

So get this message across to the people so that they can conduct Catholic Mission and Evangelization based on the truth.

Do not hide it from Catholics in the parishes that the Bible, the Church and of course Vatican Council II says Jews and Muslims need to convert into the Catholic Church to go to Heaven. All of them.

The Council says this is in two important places .In Ad Gentes 7 it says all people need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for salvation. All means everyone with no exceptions.

Therefore, all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door.-Ad Gentes 7,Vatican Council II.
Then Ad Gentes 7 also says those who know about Jesus and the Catholic Church and yet do not enter are on the way to Hell. In Italy Muslims and Jews know about Jesus and the Catholic Church. It is a mortal sin of faith when they do not enter the Catholic Church.

Therefore those men cannot be saved, who though aware that God, through Jesus Christ founded the Church as something necessary, still do not wish to enter into it, or to persevere in it.-Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II
Whosoever, therefore, knowing that the Catholic Church was made necessary by Christ, would refuse to enter or to remain in it, could not be saved.-Lumen Gentium 14, Vatican Council II
So ask your parish priest why has he not spoken on this subject? Is he trying to protect someone?

So many people are going to Hell and he does not speak or write about it?

MONS.CAMILLE PERL, ECCLESIA DEI,VATICAN PLEASE AFFIRM THE EX CATHEDRA DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS : STOP THE SACRILEGOUS MASS

Mons. Camille Perl  the Secretary General of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, Vatican in a publicized letter has indicated that some of the followers of Fr. Leonard Feeney are not in full communion with the Catholic Church. The issue is the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (outside the church there is no salvation). The issue for me also is how does Mons. Perl and Ecclesia Dei permit priests in Rome to offer the Tridentine Latin Rite Mass who cannot affirm the dogma in public thus promoting an odour of sacrilege. Is it not a mortal sin a sacrilege I have been asking Ecclesia Dei before?

3) In 1988, Mr. John Loughnan, a layman from Australia who happens to be a friend of mine, wrote the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei (PCED) requesting clarification on several controversies surrounding the SSPX. Mr. Loughnan also inquired as to the status within the Church of Fr. Feeney’s followers.

Concerning this last question, Msgr. Camille Perl, secretary of the PCED, replied to Mr. Loughnan as follows in N. 343/98 dated 27 October 1998: “The question of the doctrine held by the late Father Leonard Feeney is a complex one. He died in full communion with the Church and many of his former disciples are also now in full communion while some are not. We do not judge it opportune to enter into this question.”

While not wishing to engage in this controversy, Msgr. Perl clearly confirms that Fr. Feeney died in full communion with the Church, and that several of his spiritual descendants who hold his same doctrinal interpretations are in full communion with the Church. Such a statement is clearly within the mission of the PCED as this commission was established by Pope John Paul II to oversee the reconciliation and well-being of traditionalists within the Church.

On that note, the evidence is clear: while the position held by Fr. Feeney and his spiritual descendants may be controversial, holding these positions does not, in itself, place one outside of the Catholic Church. In short, it is clear from the Church’s current pastoral and canonical practice that the Church considers this an internal controversy, and that she acknowledges the good standing of most of those who uphold a restrictive interpretation of EENS, BOB and BOD- See Peter Vere, Canon Lawyer on "Feeneyites" on the blog "No Salvation Outside the Church" Link List [The "Mega-List" of Online References Concerning Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus]

Ecclesia Dei has approved the Sisters of St. Benedict Centre, Worcester as being a centre for the Tridentine Rite Latin Rite Mass. They have also been accepted by the diocese of Worcester who have granted them canonical status.

Their community was founded by the late Fr. Leonard Feeney. They interpret the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus as everyone needing to enter the Catholic Church to go to Heaven and there are no exceptions. We also cannot know personally who has the Baptism of desire or is in invincible ignorance. This can only be judged by Jesus. This is also the interpretation of the dogma by the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX). It is also the interpretation of us Catholics, who daily attend the Novus Ordo Mass and see Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church as being in accord with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

There is presently communication between the SSPX and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), of which Ecclesia Dei is a component. The SSPX needs to affirm Vatican Council II it is reported often.

The SSPX affirms the infallible dogma with no compromise or change or dilution. The ex cathedra dogma extra eccleism nulla salus is an infallible teaching, Vatican Council II is the teaching of the ordinary Magisterium. The dogma has been thrice defined in an extraordinary mode.

So why does the SSPX have to affirm Vatican Council II when  Mons. Camille Perl and Ecclesia Dei have  not affirmed the ex cathedra dogma clearly and in writing.

Bishop Bernard Fellay the Superior General of the SSPX has said in an interview with a secular newspaper that the SSPX accepts Vatican Council II as a reality. The real issue is the interpretation of the Council. They reject the interpretation of Vatican Council II according to the Jewish Left media.

So which interpretation of Vatican Council is being used by Ecclesia Dei. An interpretation that affirms or rejects the infallible teaching?

In Dominus Iesus the words de jure and de facto are used. Ecclesia Dei could clarify if Lumen Gentium 16 is a de jure passage. It is being interpreted as contradicting Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II, the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1257 The Necessity of Baptism). Lumen Gentium16 does not refer to de jure or de facto salvation and so we have to choose.

Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience.(19*) Nor does Divine Providence deny the helps necessary for salvation to those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to live a good life. Whatever good or truth is found amongst them is looked upon by the Church as a preparation for the Gospel.-Lumen Gentium 16,Vatican Council II.
If it is a reference to de jure salvation (in principle, as a concept) then it does not contradict Ad Gentes 7.

all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door…’-Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II (Emphasis added).

Then it would not contradict the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

1257 The Lord himself affirms that Baptism is necessary for salvation.59 He also commands his disciples to proclaim the Gospel to all nations and to baptize them.60 Baptism is necessary for salvation for those to whom the Gospel has been proclaimed and who have had the possibility of asking for this sacrament.61 The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are "reborn of water and the Spirit." God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments.
The Baptism of water is necessary for the salvation of all people with no exception. This is de facto salvation. However de jure, known only to a God, there are exceptions to the baptism of water.

Then, it would not contradict the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

1. “There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.).

2. “We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 302.).

3.“The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholiicchurch.blogspot.com/

The ex cathedra dogma does not say that ‘those who through no fault of their own do not know either the Gospel or Christ or his Church, or who have a sincere heart’ do not have to enter the Catholic Church to go to Heaven. Everyone has to enter the Church and there are no exceptions. This was the infallible teaching for centuries (Letter of the Holy Office 1949)

The Catechism of the Catholic Church indicates that de facto non Catholics need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation. It also uses the word all (CCC 836)as does Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7).

CCC 1257 affirms the dogma when it says that the Church knows of no means to eternal beatitude other than the baptism of water. This is a reference to explicit salvation for all with no known exceptions.

CCC 1257 also says that for salvation God is not restricted to the Sacraments. This must not be interpreted as opposing the dogma or the earlier part of CCC 1257. This is is a possibility, 'in certain circumstances' (Letter of the Holy Office 1949) and we cannot judge any specific cases.

However, those, who through no fault of their own do not know either the Gospel of Christ or his Church, can achieve salvation by seeking God with a sincere heart and by trying to do God's will (Second Vatican Council). Although God can lead all people to salvation, the Church still has the duty to evangelize all men.-CCC 848
Those who are in invincible ignorance can be saved -and this does not conflict with the ex cathedra dogma that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Church to avoid Hell. It is a conceptual, de jure understanding.

How do we understand this saying from the Church Fathers? All salvation comes from Christ through his Body, the Church which is necessary for salvation because Christ is present in his Church...-CCC 846

Here the Catechism places de jure and defacto salvation together. It does not conflict with the ex cathedra teaching that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church .We cannot personally know any cases of a genuine invincible ignorance, baptism of desire or a good conscience.

The Father wants to reunite all humanity into his Son's Church. According to St. Augustine and St. Ambrose, the Church was prefigured by Noah's ark, which alone saved the world from the flood.-CCC 845
Here again we have an affirmation of the ex cathedra dogma, the infallible teaching that de facto everyone needs to enter the only Ark of Salvation.

The dogma, the infallible teaching is that de facto every person needs to enter the Catholic Church, Jesus' Mystical Body (Colossians) for salvation, with no exceptions, known to us. Pope Pius XII called it the infallible teaching (Letter of the Holy Office 1949).The infallible teaching cannot be changed or altered. If it is changed or altered than it is a new doctrine. Then it could wrongly mean that we can also change the Church teaching on abortion, homosexuality etc.

If there are exceptions to the ordinary means of salvation which is the baptism of water and Catholic Faith it will be known to God only and Jesus only will judge. So in a sense mentioning it is irrelevant at the level of personal evangelisation, personal contact with non-Catholics.

All men are certainly called to this Catholic unity. The Catholic faithful, others who believe in Christ, and all mankind belong to or are ordered to Catholic unity.-CCC 836
Here again we have an affirmation of the ex cathedra dogma and the word all is used as in Ad Gentes 7.

So when Ecclesia Dei says Fr.Leonard Feeney  died in full communion with the Catholic Church and his spiritual descendents are also in full communion, as the men and women communities in Worcester, then it would mean they are not in heresy or in mortal sin. It would also logically mean that those priests who will publically not affirm the dogma, as do the good Sisters in Worcester, are in error. If the error is heretical for Ecclesia Dei then then it should not  the Tridentine Rite Mass in Rome ,for example, by priests who cannot affirm in public the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

ARCHDIOCESE OF WESTMINISTER INTERFAITH OFFICE INDICATES POPES AND HOLY FATHER IN HERESY

The Archdiocese of Westminster Interfaith Office indicates that the popes and the present Holy Father are in heresy. The Westminster Interfaith website (Click on Diocese and then Interfaith and then Westminster Interfaith website) claims that they are following the popes and Vatican Council II.

Our Aims

To respond to the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and the Popes with regard to interfaith dialogue

They reject the ex-cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus which is supported by the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Vatican Council II. For centuries the dogma has been the same and is well known; everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell and there is no invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire that we can know of.

The Archdiocese indicates that those of us who support the dogma are in heresy. Even in their apologetics section of questions and answers no where do they affirm the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
(This is a mortal sin of faith and yet the Staff receive the Eucharist).

Those who are heretics include cardinals, bishops and priests. They would also include the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI as being among the popes whom they indicate rejected the ex cathedra dogma and their interpretation of Vatican Council II.

Their AIMS imply that the popes support them in rejecting a teaching described by Pope Pius XII as a ‘dogma’ and infallible’. (Letter of the Holy Office 1949).

So any Catholic who supports the present Magisterium on this issue could not be employed by the Interfaith Office or in the Archdiocese of Westminster. This is discrimination even according to English Law.

They are also saying that not only the popes reject the dogma but all those Catholics today who reject the dogma are not Catholics. This is a false representation to non Catholics. It is also a civil offence.

They are saying that a Catholic priest the late Fr. Leonard Feeney was a heretic. Also, the Catholic Church in Worcester, USA (men and women) who interpret the dogma according to their founder Fr. Leonard Feeney are also heretics. They include communities (men and women) granted canonical status by the Catholic diocese of Worcester, USA. This is slander and calumny and also a civil offence. To imply that the popes and the present Holy Father are heretical is deeply offensive to Catholics in England and the rest of the world. Also to claim that they follow Vatican Council II is false and a public lie.

Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7) says all non Catholics are going to Hell. ALL.It also indicates that millions of educated non Catholics in London are on the way to Hell at the time of death since they have not converted and entered the Catholic Church even though they are informed. They include Protestants.

Here is the ex cathedra dogma outside the church there is no salvation(extra ecclesiam nulla salus) which Pope Pius XII called our 'infallible' teaching (Letter of the Holy Office 1949).The Archdiocese suggests the popes rejected it.

No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholiicchurch.blogspot.com/ /.Also see Pascendi’s Catholic Forum(Thread: EENS debate on Patrick Madrids Blog) ---FORUM-- Pascendi-http://pascendi2.websitetoolbox.com/
The dogma does not say those in invincibile ignorance, with a good conscience or the baptism of desire do not de facto have to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

ABORTION IN LAZIO

Bagnasco, Bertone like mother who aborts child due to pressure

The Prefect of the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI) Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco a few days back called for an opposition to abortion. His statement was on the front page of local newspapers and reported in the context of the elections next week in the province of Lazio, in which Rome is situated. One of the two pro abortion candidates responded to the cardinal’s statement as: ‘just words’.
Just words?
Last Sept.22 Cardinal Bagnasco issued a directive by CEI stating that the Revised Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews was not for their conversion and that Jews do not have to convert in the present times. This is a negation of the Bible and a rejection of the ex cathedra infallible dogma outside the Church there is no salvation (extra ecclesiam nulla salus). The dogma is supported by the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Vatican Council II.
Cardinal Bagnasco, like Cardinal Bertone the Vatican Secretary of State, seemed like a pregnant mother who chooses an abortion due to social or economic pressure.
Cardinal Bagnasco and Cardinal Bertone were under pressure from the Jewish Left lobby in Italy backed by the political and military strength of Israel (and the USA). This is harassment based on religion and contrary to Nostra Aetate, Vatican Council II which is made much of by the Jewish Left media. It is also creating confusion for Catholics this Good Friday.
Bagnasco’s message was that we Catholics do not have to live the ex cathedra dogma that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell  and there is no baptism of desire or invincible ignorance that we can know of.

In Bagnasco statement last Sept.22 we are told that the Catholic Church’s infallible teaching no more holds. So this is not the one, true Church of God. So everyone does not have to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church, necessarily, including that on abortion.
This is a contribution to the ‘culture of death’.
Even at another level in Rome, Mons. Ignacio Barreiro, Director of the Human Life International(HLI) Office, Rome will not support the ex cathedra dogma. May be he sees the connection between this infallible teaching and abortion but is afraid to speak about it in public otherwise- he could lose all his privileges and his lifestyle permitted temporarily by the pro-heresy Vicariate in Rome,' feathering their own nest'.
He celebrates the Tridentine Rite Mass in Rome on Sundays!
So if Bagnasco, Bertone and Barreiro can make personal exceptions regarding an infallible teaching then why expect something different from the candidates Polverini-Bonino and the Catholics who need to abort. The cardinals have never ever said that they are all-including themselves- in mortal sin and so would be on their way to Hell.

ARCHDIOCESE OF WESTMINISTER INTER FAITH OFFICE IN SLANDER, MISREPRESENTATION AND DISCRIMINATION : LEGAL HELP NEEDED

The Inter Religious Department of the Archdiocese of Westminster, England (Westminster Interfaith,
Westminster House,Watford Way,London NW4 4TY Tel: 020 8457 6532  westminsterinterfaith@rcdow.org.uk )  is an anti Catholic office and must be exposed legally. They do not represent Catholics with their falsehood, discrimination and slander.

Good Catholics have an obligation to expose this office publicly and so inform people in England, about  what we Catholics really believe.

See the lies on Vatican Council II on the Inter Religious Office website (Click on Diocese and then interfaith).Vatican Council II  does not state the claims they suggest on the website.

Instead Vatican Council II says all non Catholics in England are oriented to Hell unless they enter the Catholic Church before their death. They include Protestants.

all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door…’-Ad Gentes 7,Vatican Council II (Emphasis added).
Jon Dal Din has been Director since July 2008 ( Tel: 020 8457 6532 Mobile: 07527 758729  jondaldin@rcdow.org.uk )  and has never ever affirmed Vatican Council II in public. This is a denial of the Catholic Faith.

He meets educated members of the non Catholic religions.

Therefore those men cannot be saved, who though aware that God, through Jesus Christ founded the Church as something necessary, still do not wish to enter into it, or to persevere in it."…- Ad Gentes 7,Vatican Council II
The non Catholics he meets know about the Catholic Church and yet do not enter. They are on the way to Hell according to Vatican Council II. Vatican Council II indicates that millions of non Catholics in modern cities in England who know about the Church and yet do not enter are oriented to Hell. They include Jews and Muslims. Jon Dal Din does not tell non Catholics that they are oriented to Hell according to Vatican Council II.
No where in Nostra Aetate ,Vatican Council II is it said that Judaism and Islam are paths to salvation or that  Jews and Muslims do not have to in general convert to avoid Hell.So this is a misrepresentation of the Catholic Church and needs to be checked legally.

A person who holds to the teachings of Vatican Council II and the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus would not be employed by the Archdiocese of Westminster Office. A simple telephone call can confirm this discrimination. This is a policy of discrimination based on religion. It violates even the local leftist laws.

How can the Director and other staff members of this office receive the Eucharist when they reject the Catholic dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus? How can he be a practising Catholic when he cannot proclaim it in public?

Here is the ex cathedra dogma outside the church there is no salvation(extra ecclesiam nulla salus) which Pope Pius XII called our 'infallible' teaching (Letter of the Holy Office 1949)

No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholiicchurch.blogspot.com/ /.Also see Pascendi’s Catholic Forum(Thread: EENS debate on Patrick Madrids Blog) ---FORUM-- Pascendi- http://pascendi2.websitetoolbox.com/
The dogma does not say those in invincibile ignorance, with a good conscience or the baptism of desire do not de facto have to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

We do not know specifically and personally who is in invincible ignorance etc. De facto we cannot judge. Only Jesus knows. The Catholic Church teaches infallibly that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church for salvation. So Lumen Gentium 16 (invincible ignorance etc) would refer to those non-catholics who in 'certain circumstances'(Letter of the Holy Office 1949) and known only to God and unknown to us can be saved with implIcit faith. De facto we do not know who they are. De jure we accept the possibility in 'certain circumstances' and known only to God. So Lumen Gentium 16  cannot contradict the extra cathedra dogma. This is the message of Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7) and the Catechism of the the Catholic Church (836,835,1257 etc).

So this issue needs to be taken up legally in London since as Catholics we are concerned .We are also offended at the public and repeated sacrilege of the Eucharist.

It is slander and calumny against us Catholics faithful to Vatican Council II . This negativity is also directed at the late Fr.Leoanrd Feeney and the Catholic communities he founded .They include the Sisters of St.Benedict Center who have been granted canonical status in the Catholic diocese of Worcester,USA.

The Director of the Inter Religious Ofioice is opposed to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican document Responses to Some Questions Regarding Certain Aspects of the Doctrine on the Church (June 29, 2007) indicates that it is The Archdiocese of Westminister which is in heresy.See CDF RESPONSES IS A WONDERFUL AFFIRMATION OF THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS on the blog :eucharistandmission February 15, 2010 http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.com/2010/02/cdf-responses-is-wonderful-affirmation.html

VATICAN COUNCIL SAYS OUTSIDE THE CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

Vatican Council II actually says that Judaism, Islam and the other religions are not paths to salvation. (Ad Gentes 7) Their followers need Catholic Faith and Baptism in general, to avoid Hell (Lumen Gentium 14).

The Council asks us to have “a high regard” for the precepts and doctrines of these religions “which often reflect a ray of that truth which enlightens all men” (Nostra Aetate, N.2), but does not anywhere say that these elements are sufficient for salvation.’-Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus, Christ to the World (1981)

It may be mentioned that Fr. Leonard Feeney taught that defacto everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church through Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to go to Heaven and avoid Hell –and there were no exceptions.

This was  the ex cathedra dogma of Pope Innocent III, Lateran Council IV (AD 1215), Unam Sanctam, Papal Bull of Pope Boniface VIII, 1302, Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441. According to Ludwig Ott, this teaching has been solemnly defined by the Fourth Lateran Council (1215) and affirmed by the Union Council of Florence, by Popes Innocent III, Boniface VIII, Clement VI, Benedict XIV, Pius IX, Leo XIII, Pius XII and many other popes.

Vatican Council II says outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

The Catholic Church teaches after Vatican Council II (1965) that all people need to enter the Catholic Church to go to Heaven (Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II).

Catholic Faith with the Baptism of water is the normal, ordinary way of salvation for all people (Lumen Gentium 14, Vatican Council II).The Catholic Church is the ordinary way of salvation for all people (Lumen Gentium 14).Non Catholics however can be saved through the extraordinary means of salvation (Lumen Gentium 16).Only God knows who are the non-Catholics saved through the extraordinary means of salvation; the exceptions. We do not know who the exceptions are. We cannot judge. Jesus, the Church, Scripture and Vatican Council II indicate that the priority is Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for all people.

So everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church which is the like the only Ark of Noah that saves in the Flood (CCC).Non Catholic religions have good things in them. However they are not paths to salvation. All salvation comes through Jesus and His Mystical Body the Church. Those non-Catholics who know the above information and yet do not enter the Church are oriented to Hell (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14).Those non-Catholics participating in inter religious dialogue, are educated. They know. They are oriented to Hell.

Outside the Church there is no salvation. Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people. This is Vatican Council II.

No where in Nostra Aetate, Vatican Council II is it said that non Catholic religions are paths to salvation.

Vatican Council II is in harmony with John 3:5, the Church Fathers, Council of Florence, Evangelii Nuntiandi, Redemptoris Missio, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Dominus Iesus, Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis etc.

Don’t let people fool you about Vatican Council II. Check the details and affirm the Faith which does not change.

Jesus called the Catholic Church “…my church…” He told St. Peter that it would prevail against Satan and be there for all time.

The following is from the Archdiocese of Westminister website
About Westminster Interfaith

posted on 09 June 2009

Westminster Interfaith is an agency of the Diocese of Westminster within the department of Ecumenism, Interfaith and Justice and Peace.

It aims to respond to the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and the Popes with regard to interreligious dialogue. In particular it seeks to promote greater understanding, co-operation and respect between Christians and people of other faiths and thus combat discrimination at all levels. It also helps Catholics deepen their own faith by promoting greater awareness of other faiths through dialogue, prayer and action.

Each year Westminster Interfaith aims to put on and assist in a range of events which provide opportunities for people of faith to listen to and learn with one another. These events may be local, as in visits to places of worship, or more general. The best known is the annual multi-faith Pilgrimage, now in its twenty first year, set out in a chosen part of London and which takes place on the first Saturday of June.

In response to requests from individuals, or from deaneries, parishes, educational establishments and seminaries, a team of five co-ordinators provide information and ideas. They help organise seminars, retreats, pilgrimages, liturgies and lectures in a variety of subjects.

A newsletter, published five times a year contains articles, reports of interfaith events, book reviews and news of future events.
What is Westminster Interfaith?

It is the agency of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster engaged in the field of dialogue with people of other faiths. On our history page About WIF you can find out about the succession of directors who have worked in promoting awareness and understanding at the levels of both daily life and academic enquiry over the past three decades, and The Team page brings this record up to date.

For many people Westminster Interfaith is known principally for organising the annual Multifaith Pilgrimage for Peace. We have reports of the two most recent of these, at Pilgrimage 2008 and Pilgrimage 2009.

On the Events page you will also find information we have received about forthcoming events. We'd like to have news about what your group is planning for Inter Faith Week, too.

Our Aims

To respond to the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and the Popes with regard to interfaith dialogue.

To promote greater understanding, co-operation and respect between Christians and people of other faiths and thus combat discrimination at all levels.

To help Christians deepen their own faith by promoting greater awareness of other faiths through dialogue, prayer and action.-from the Arcdiocese of Westminister website

One religion makes the other sound like a fairy tale, how can you prove the truth? What is the proof? A Creator does indeed exist, but which of the religions is right? (TR)

Answer: First, the text of the book and the answer to the previous questions should have shown that the Christian faith claims to be the true faith on the one hand, but it does not follow that it is therefore justified to take the stance that other faiths, such as the Jewish or Muslim faiths are completely false or worthless. The Questioner ought to carefully read chapter 11 and chapter 4, as well as the answer to question 42 with this statement in mind....

JEHOVAHS WITNESSES WOULD WELCOME ST.THOMAS AQUINAS (ANGELICUM ) UNIVERSITY,ROME

On bus 105 at Termini at 6p.m yesterday  Sunday I chose the last seat in the corner at the end of the bus. On the seat at the side someone had left an attractive coloured four page pamphlet.

The leaflet said in English, JESUS GVE HIS LIFE FOR MANY

Why did  he need to do that? What do you do to benefit from it?

We invite you to find out on Tuesday March 30, 2010

Copyright 2010 Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania.

This special event will be held at the time and place shown below.

Hotel Ibis/Tor Bella Monaca via Vico Vigano 24, (angolo Viale Cammellotti)

Hours: 08.00 p.m.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses' (JW) system is successful since they have got Catholics (ex) to evangelize on the streets, unlike when they were Catholic .Many or most of their evangelizers are ex Catholics.

The converts are now told that the JW religion is the only way to get to Heaven something they probably would not say for  the Catholic Church, when they were Catholics.

They now believe that Jesus is not the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity and also that He and St. Michael the Archangel are one and the same person. This is not said in the coloured leaflet.
There is a picture of Jesus on the back page. Their emphasis on Jesus is probably because they are targeting Catholics.

I like to meet them. The first thing I say when I meet them is I believe outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell and that they are outside.

It is probably the first time they have heard it from a Catholic in Rome.

They pull out their Bible after I have refused to take their literature.

I think of the students and faculty at the Dominican St.Thomas Aquinas University (Angelicum), Rome. Their message is just belief in Jesus is enough to go to Heaven membership in the Catholic Church is not necessary for salvation. With such heretical beliefs they go before the Blessed Sacrament kept in Perpetual Adoration during the day at the University chapel.

On Sunday mornings the JWS would welcome them at Termini to distribute their literature, in an ecumenical exercise.

CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN ACCORD WITH THE DOGMA

Canon lawyer Peter Vere in a report posted on the internet (Google: Sisters of St. Benedict Center ) says that the Catholic Church now promotes a less exclusive understanding of the dogma Outside the Church No Salvation ( extra ecclesiam nulla salus) in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. He says he accepts this new understanding.

Having said that, let us move to the larger question. It is clear from the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) promulgated by Pope John Paul II that the Church currently promotes a less exclusive understanding of the dogma “Outside the Church no salvation” (EENS) as well as the effects of desire for baptism (BOD) and pre-baptismal martyrdom for the faith (BOB). Lest I be accused of bias in my canonical opinion, I want to note up-front that I personally accept the teaching on these issues outlined in the CCC.-Peter Vere
It is important to note that the Catechism of the Catholic Church has placed de jure and de facto salvation together. The need for explicit entry into the Catholic Church and implicit faith (salvation without the baptism of water) is grouped together. It does not even use the words de jure or de facto for precision.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church  has no reference to de facto salvation specifically and only as in the ex cathedra dogma. The dogma states that salvation is explicit within the Catholic Church and with no exceptions.

Similarly for St. Thomas Aquinas salvation is explicit in only the Catholic Church with no exceptions. St. Thomas Aquinas recognizes the possible exceptions to the baptism of water (invincible ignorance) but does not place the exceptions in opposition to the general rule for everyone;all, needing to enter the Catholic Church to go to Heaven and avoid Hell.

At the same time, the Catechism could mistakenly be interpreted to suggest that those in invincible ignorance (implicit faith) do not have to de facto enter the Catholic Church. It is vague on this point of extra ecclesiam nulla salus since it has gouped implcit and expicit faith together. If it really did say that those in invincible ignorance (implicit faith) do not have to enter the Catholic Church and it is kwon to us de fact  it would be a heresy. It would contradict the infallible, ex cathedra, thrice defined dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Just Not Knowing (848)
However, those, who through no fault of their own do not know either the Gospel of Christ or his Church, can achieve salvation by seeking God with a sincere heart and by trying to do God's will (Second Vatican Council). Although God can lead all people to salvation, the Church still has the duty to evangelize all men.-CCC 848
Those who are in invincible ignorance can be saved -and this does not conflict with the ex cathedra dogma that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Church to avoid Hell. It is a conceptual, de jure understanding.

"Outside the Church There is No Salvation" (846)
How do we understand this saying from the Church Fathers? All salvation comes from Christ through his Body, the Church which is necessary for salvation because Christ is present in his Church...
Here the Catechism places de jure and defacto salvation together. It does not conflict with the ex cathedra teaching that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church .We cannot personally know any cases of a genuine invincible ignorance, baptism of desire or a good conscience.

The Church as Noah's Ark (845)

So in a sense mentioning it is irrelevant at the level of personal evangelisation personal contact with non-Catholics.

All are Called (836)
All men are certainly called to this Catholic unity. The Catholic faithful, others who believe in Christ, and all mankind belong to or are ordered to Catholic unity.-CCC 836
Here again we have an affirmation of the ex cathedra dogma and the word all is used as in Ad Gentes 7.

Here is the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS)
It means that those who are the exceptions to the baptism of water are rare cases,' in certain circumstances’, known only to God (Letter of the Holy Office 1949). We cannot judge. So the explicit salvation teaching for all to enter the Church, of the Catechism of the Catholic Church still holds. It is in accord with the dogma.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says all people need to enter the Catholic Church to go to Heaven, the Church is the only Ark of Noah that saves in the flood and the Catholic Church knows of no other means to eternal beatitude other than the Baptism of  water (which is given to adults who have Catholic Faith). The Catechism says God wants all people to be united into the Catholic Church, it is in the Catholic Church that God wants all people to worship him. So this is  a reference to the infallible teaching based on the Bible and Catholic Tradition. It is the teaching of the Magisterium of the past and today.

Feast of St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi

Tuesday, May 29, 2007

Dear Brother Andre Marie,

I hope this letter finds you and the other brothers well. Allow me to apologize for taking my time in responding to your last letter. I wanted to be thorough in my response - especially since you have asked if my response might be made public, of which I have no objection. Please note that while I do not speak on behalf of the Church in an official capacity - given that I do not hold office with a tribunal or ecclesiastical entity that has been asked to investigate this question -what follows is my professional opinion as a canon lawyer.

To recap our last exchange, you wrote: “I'm wondering if you are able to put in writing something testifying to the lawfulness of holding Father Feeney's position as a Catholic in good standing with the Church. Back in January, you agreed to do this. Again, I'm not asking you to vouch for our canonical situation here in the Manchester Diocese; I'm simply asking for the expert opinion of a canon lawyer on the larger question.”

To begin, as you point out, the question concerning your canonical status with the Diocese of Manchester is separate from the question concerning Fr. Feeney’s status as one who died in full communion with Rome, as well as the status of his spiritual descendants who hold to his same position. Before we proceed to the larger question, I would just like to assure you of our family prayers that in God’s time the question of your canonical status resolve itself favourably. Should you require my assistance at that time, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Lest I be accused of bias in my canonical opinion, I want to note up-front that I personally accept the teaching on these issues outlined in the CCC.

However, that is a debate for another time. The question currently before us is the following:

What of those, like the spiritual descendants of Fr. Feeney, who hold to a more restrictive understanding on these issues? Are they Catholics in good standing with the Church? The answer is yes for a number of reasons:

1) There is no question Fr. Feeney died in full communion with the Catholic Church. Pope Paul VI lifted Father’s excommunication while Father was still alive, and there is no evidence that Father recanted his understanding of EENS, BOB, or BOD. The actual lifting of Father’s excommunication was executed by Fr. Richard Shmaruk, a priest of the Boston Archdiocese, on behalf of Bishop Bernard Flanagan of Worcester. While visiting Boston about ten years ago, I spoke with Fr. Shmaruk and he personally corroborated the events that led to him reconciling Fr. Feeney with the Church.

On pages 259 to 262 of his book They Fought the Good Fight, Brother Thomas Mary Sennott diligently chronicles the reconciliation of Fr. Feeney, as well as the subsequent reconciliation of several of Father’s spiritual descendants. Brother Sennott quotes from two respectable Catholic news sources (The Advocate and the Catholic Free Press). I have independently confirmed the quotations and context of the primary sources.

Brother Sennottt also notes that Father’s memorial mass was celebrated by Bishop Bernard Flanagan in the Cathedral of St. Paul, Worcester. This would have given rise to scandal had Father not been fully reconciled with the Church. Br. Sennott’s book received an imprimi potest from Bishop Timothy Harrington of the Diocese of Worcester, meaning the book is free from doctrinal or moral error. Thus unless one is willing to declare oneself sedevacantist or sedeprivationist, the evidence is overwhelming that Fr. Feeney died in full communion with the Church without recanting his position.

2) Most of Fr. Feeney’s spiritual descendants have been reconciled with the Church without having to renounce or recant their interpretation of BOB, BOD, or EENS. This was the case with those who reconciled in 1974 and would go on to found St. Benedict Abbey in Still River, as well as the sisters of St. Anne’s House in Still River who reconciled in 1988, and most recently with St. Benedict Centre in Still River who reconciled under Br. Thomas Augustine, MICM.

Regarding the last group, I should note they had achieved a sacramental reconciliation long before their juridical reconciliation. This was the subject of the first paper I ever wrote as a young licentiate student in canon law. While researching this paper in 1997, I visited the various communities descended from Fr. Feeney and the Harvard student movement, noting with interest how despite no formal reconciliation at the time, Br. Thomas’s community had an in-residence chaplain appointed by the Bishop of Worcester. I also noted with interest that the Bishop visited the community regularly, and that he also confirmed the community’s children. In reading canon 844, sacraments should only be shared with non-Catholics under the most strict and extenuating of circumstances. It is clear, that in keeping with canon 213, the Diocese of Worcester was ensuring for the pastoral and sacramental care of Brother Thomas’s community as if they were Catholics.

It was similarly clear from talking to Br. Thomas Augustine, as it was from talking to Mother Theresa next door at St. Anne’s House, that each of these communities still held the same interpretation of BOB, BOD and EENS as Fr. Feeney.

With regards to the 1988 reconciliation of Mother Theresa, MICM and the sisters of St. Anne’s House in Still River, Fr. Lawrence A. Deery, JCL, at the time the Diocese of Worcester’s Judicial Vicar and Vicar for Canonical Affairs and acting in his official capacity, wrote the following: “1) The Sisters were asked to ‘understand’ the letter of the then Holy Office dated 8 August 1949. They were not asked to ‘accept’ its contents. 2) The Sisters were asked to make to make a Profession of Faith. Nothing else was required [...] In our discussions with the Congregation [for the Doctrine of the Faith] it seemed rather clear that proponents of a strict interpretation of the doctrine should be given the same latitude for teaching and discussion as those who would hold more liberal views. Summarily, Mother Theresa and her community in no manner abandoned Father Feeney’s teachings.” Need I remind you that the man who was Prefect for the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith at the time of this consultation is now Pope Benedict XVI, the Church’s Supreme Pontiff?

In short, it is clear from the Church’s current pastoral and canonical practice that the Church considers this an internal controversy, and that she acknowledges the good standing of most of those who uphold a restrictive interpretation of EENS, BOB and BOD.

Pax Christi,
Pete Vere
