The National Catholic Reporter's reviews of the books by Fr. Jared Wicks sj and Prof. Paul Lakeland on Vatican Council II, were flawed. The authors had made a mistake. Vatican Council II was interpreted by them with false reasoning. The NCR must admit it. Both authors read the Council superficially. Then they assumed hypothetical cases were objective exceptions to the past ecclesiology of the Church. This is irrational. So the authors conclusions and those of the editors and correspondents of the NCR were irrational, non traditional and an artifical rupture with Catholic theology and doctrines on salvation etc.

Massimo Faggioli and Michael Sean Winters liberalism was based on an irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II.The National Catholic Reporter had two books reviewed, which interpreted Vatican Council II with the superficial and false reasoning. The books were authored by Paul Lakeland and Fr. Jared Wicks sj.

I told the bishop that every one interprets Vatican Council II in the wrong way and it must be the same in his diocese in Africa

Pope Francis needs to tell Eugenio Scalfari that articles and reports in his newspaper on Vatican Council II have a built-in error : Andrea Tornielli needs to clean up the Vatican websites which carry the same mistake

Repost : So the teaching on the Social Reign of Christ the King is very much alive today when Vatican Council II is interpreted with Feeneyism as a philosophy and theology.

So the teaching on the Social Reign of Christ the King is very much alive today when Vatican Council II is interpreted with Feeneyism as a philosophy and theology.

The Old Curmudgeon

Comment on the blog Musings of an Old Curmedgeon, Catholic Integralism and the Social Kingship of Christ
There can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II. There is Vatican Council II which is a rupture with Tradition or one which is a continuity with Tradition. There is Vatican Council II interpreted with a false premise or the one without the false premise. There is Vatican Council II which I call, Feeneyite or the common interpretation which I call Cushingite. There is a Vatican Council II in harmony with the traditional interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus in the 16th century, or a Vatican Council II which is a rupture with the Magisterium in the 16th century. There is Vatican Council II interpreted according to Cardinal Luiz Ladaria S.j or the traditional and rational one by Cardinal Raymond Burke. So there is a Vatican Council II which rejects the Social Reign of Christ the King over all political legislation and one which supports it.

With Vatican Council II (Feeneyite) there is no use of a false premise and so the Council is in harmony with Feeneyite EENS. Feeneyite EENS is the basis for the old exclusivist ecclesiology of the Catholic Church. Upon this exclusivist ecclesiology depended an ecumenism of return and the proclamation of the Social Reign of Christ the King over all political legislation, with the non separation of Church and State.

Upon Vatican Council II( Feeneyite) and EENS( Feeneyite) we can still have traditional Mission knowing that all non Catholics, with no known exceptions, are oriented to Hell unless they enter the Catholic Church with faith and baptism(Ad Gentes 7).

Vatican Council II ( Feeneyite) also tells us that most people are in Hell since they have died without faith and baptism in the Catholic Church. The ordinary way of salvation is faith and baptism (AG 7) and not invincible ignorance(LG 16), the baptism of desire (LG 14 etc).
So the teaching on the Social Reign of Christ the King is very much alive today when Vatican Council II is interpreted with Feeneyism as a philosophy and theology.

Ludwig Ott's Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma is Cushingite, it overlooks an irrationality in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949.Bishop Athanasius Schneider and Prof Robert Fastiggi also use the false premise to interpret BOD, BOB and I.I and Magisterial documents to create a schism with the past popes

Day 6 - Christ the King Novena

Believe in yourself and all that you are. (3)
Today, let's pray that God will reign in our will -- that our will may be aligned with His will.
Here are the prayers for today:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Christ, our Savior and our King, renew in me allegiance to Your Kingship.
I pray for the grace to place You above the powers of this world in all things.
I pray for the grace to obey You before any civic authority.
I pray for the grace to fervently bring about Your Kingdom in my family and community.
I pray that You will reign in my mind.
I pray that You will reign in my heart.
I pray that You will reign in my will.
O Prince of Peace, may Your reign be complete in my life and in the life of the world. Christ, my King, please answer these petitions if they be in accordance with Your Holy Will…
[Mention your intentions here]
As I reflect on Your second, glorious coming and the judgment of all mankind, I beg You to show me mercy and give me the grace to become a great saint. I pray that not only will I spend eternity with You but that You may use me – a sinner – to bring others into Your Kingdom for Your glory.
Christ the King, Your Kingdom come!
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

They have been informed about the error through personal e-mails which I have sent them.
The NCR could pull down the reviews of the books written by Wicks and Lakeland on Vatican Council II.
When they know that the writers made a fundamental mistake in their reasoning they cannot to continue to promote these books. This would be propaganda. It is unethical.
I have contacted Prof. Paul Lakeland and others at the University of Fairfield, Ohio. They have nothing to say in their defence, with philosophy and theology.
They made a mistake. They realize it. Even the editors of the NCR know it.They cannot keep posting reviews of books on Vatican Council II,  in which the authors make the same mistake.-Lionel Andrades
