There can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II. One with and the other without the false premise. Archbishops Morandi and Di Noia, Secretaries of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican,choose the irrational premise, the irrational option.Their irrational premise and inference is approved by the Left.There is no denial from them. If they did not use the irrational option they would become traditionalists for the Left.

The pope does not have to discard Lumen Gentium 16 as Bishop Athanasius Schneider has asked.He simply has to re-interpret LG 16 rationally and then there is no rupture with Tradition (EENS, Syllabus etc).The Council Fathers interpreted LG 16 irrationally and so it is there in the Council-text. It should not have been there. Bishop Schneider is correct here.

When Catholics use the false premise they plug into the hermeneutic of rupture with Tradition. They can un-plug and return to the hermeneutic of continuity with Tradition..There is no permanent rupture with Tradition in Vatican Council II.

The CDF must acknowledge this mistake
The Magisterium today can correct the error in the Fr. Leonard Feeney case. The baptism of desire and invincible ignorance are not exceptions to traditional extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS).
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF) can also correct the error in Vatican Council II.
Lumen Gentium 16 is not an exception to EENS. It is not an exception to exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church. For the Council Fathers Lumen Gentium 16 was an exception to Feeneyite EENS. Cushing, Rahner, Ratzinger, Bea and others were following the mistake in the Letter of the Holy Office . The CDF must acknowledge this mistake. -Lionel Andrades

So it is meaningless to say all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church when there are no known exceptions to EENS
When the false premise is used a New Theology is created.It says there is salvation outside the Church ( known and unknown) and all so who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church.
Without the false premise there is no New Theology and so it can be said that outside the Church there is no salvation.Since we do not know any one saved outside the Church who knows or does not know about Jesus and the Church.
