The late Fr. Nicholas Gruner did not differentiate between extra ecclesiam nulla salus (Feeneyite) and extra ecclesiam nulla salus (Cushingite) and Vatican Council II ( Cushingite) and Vatican Council II ( Feeneyite).Traditionalists are still following his model of the Faith. There was an option but he did not know about it.
He interpreted EENS with exceptions. The baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and invincible ignorance(I.I) were exceptions to EENS for him and John Vennari.However at times he seemed to affirm EENS with BOD, BOB and I.I not being exceptions.This was Feeneyite EENS.
With John Vennari there is a talk on line in which he supports the dogma EENS but mentions exceptions.The text of the dogma EENS does not mention exceptions.
Probably in his friendship with the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the St. Benedict Center, New Hampshire he would support EENS without exceptions.
He never differentiated between known and unknown exceptions. He did not differentiate between EENS with or without known exceptions.
For the Lefebvrists there are exceptions to EENS and for the Feeneyites there are no exceptions.
So between the SSPX and the St. Benedict Centers at times he could come across as confusing.
He would criticize the papal encyclicals of Pope John Paul II for not being Feeneyite on EENS.But he did not know about the false premise which decides if Vatican Council II and the papal documents os Feeneyite or Cushingite.
He did not know that the false premise was the spanner in the machinery. Once it was removed the Council II and EENS was traditional.
The Fr.Nicholas Gruner - John Vennari interpretation of Vatican Council II is inadequate.The traditionalists at the Society of St. Pius X(SSPX), St. Benedict Center, Still River, Mass., could avoid it. Since we now know that the false premise creates the hermeneutic of rupture.
Why interpret Vatican Council II as a rupture with Tradition? Let the liberals continue to do so.
We have to re-interpret Vatican Council II and EENS without the common Cushingite error.This was not known to Fr. Nicholas Gruner and John Vennari.-Lionel Andrades
