Diane Montagna's recent book referring to Vatican Council II, published by Amazon has an objective error. Along with Bishop Athanasius Schneider she interprets Vatican Council II irrationally in spite of there being so many reports on line which correct the error.

Diane Montagna's recent book referring to Vatican Council II, published by Amazon has an objective error. Along with Bishop Athanasius Schneider  she interprets Vatican Council II irrationally in spite of there being so many reports on line which correct the error.

The Life Sites correspondent in Rome assumes unknown cases of the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and invincible ignorance(I.I) are known exceptions to Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS). She also wrongly assumes invisible cases referred to in LG 8,LG 14, LG 16 , UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc are visible exceptions to the past ecclesiology, an ecumenism of return and EENS as it was interpreted in the Patristic period.
This was also the mistake made by Roberto dei Mattei of the Lepanto Foundation, when Montagna asked him about EENS and then posted his views on LifeSites.
Mattei, like other Lefbvrists is Cushingite on EENS. He interprets the Creeds and Catechisms  with a false premise to create a rupture with Tradition and does not deny it. Since he does not want to affirm Feeneyite EENS and be politically incorrect.
He is now in schism with the popes over the centuries on EENS. The popes accepted BOD, BOB and I.I but did not project them as exceptions to EENS, as do the liberals and Lefebvrists today.
Since BOD, BOB and I.I are exceptions to EENS for Mattei, the Nicene Creed and Apostles Creed have a new understanding. He rejects the Athanasius Creed which does not say outside the Church there is salvation, or outside the Church there is known salvation.
Theologically he also rejects the Syllabus of Errors  which affirmed the strict interpretation of EENS and an ecumenism of return, with invisible cases not being exceptions.
Diane Montagna is not fair to Fr. Leonard Feeney and the St. Benedict Centers in the USA.-Lionel Andrades
