‘Feeneyites’ are Catholics. They affirm Vatican Council II, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) of the Fourth Lateran Council (1215) and the Council of Florence (1442). These two Councils affirmed the strict interpretation of EENS and did not mention any exceptions.

They accept Pope Francis as the pope. They are active in the parishes. They interpret the Creeds and Catechisms rationally. They do not deny the baptism of desire (BOD), baptism of blood (BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance (I.I), which they interpret rationally. They can only be hypothetical cases. So BOD, BOB and I.I never ever were exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The 1949 of the Letter of the Holy Office (CDF) made an objective mistake. The CDF made a factual mistake in 1949.They repeated the mistake in 1965 and still continue to follow it for political reasons.

Peter and Michael Dimond interpret Vatican Council II irrationally and so they contradict the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, which they otherwise affirm.

Brother Thomas Augustine micm, affirms the strict interpretation of EENS but also interprets Vatican Council II irrationally. So the Council would be a break with EENS for him. But I interpret Vatican Council II rationally and so the Council is not a break with EENS for me.Feeneyites do not have to be sedevacantists or schismatics. Since they do not have to reject Vatican Council II which is in harmony with other Magisterial Documents interpreted rationally.- Lionel Andrades

Thread: Feeneyism is destroyed by the Church’s tradition. This a thread for our American friends who might be tempted by the heresy of feeneyism. There is reason why feeneyism is practically inexistent and unheard of in France: a long Catholic Tradition.
