Remnant’s founding editor, Walter L. Matt 's writings on Vatican Council II are as obsolete as that of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.Both did not know that Vatican Council II could be interpreted with Feeneyism( hypothetical cases are just hypothetical and not objective to EENS) instead of their common Cushingism( hypothetical cases of the baptism of desire etc are not just hypothetical, they are objective exceptions to EENS). 
The Remnant's Archives do not help the Catholic Church since 'Traditional Catholicism' did not assume invisible cases of the baptism of desire, baptism of blood and being saved in invincible ignorance were visible exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This was the mistake made by the Lefbvrists.

Walter Matt, Michael Davies,Hamish Fraser and in the present times Chris Ferrara and Roberto dei Mattei have all been Cushingites. We are now aware of the Cushingite mistake in the interpretation of Magisterial documents, especially, Vatican Council II and EENS and so we can avoid the error which contributes to heresy and schism.

Similarly when the SSPX produces material on Archbishop Lefebvre it is useless in the sense that it no more is part of the Catholic Church, for traditionalists, and other Catholics who discern there was an error.

This could be hard on Michael Matt, the Editor of The Remnant.The same with the editor of The Wanderer.

They have to pick up Catholic traditionalism from the 1930's, the time of St. Maximillian Kolbe. They could affirm the strict interpretation of the dogma EENS in harmony with Vatican Council II.

The SSPX in its General Chapter Statement(2012) supported  EENS ( Feeneyite) and of course the politically correct Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF) rejected it. When the SSPX supports Vatican Council II ( Feeneyite) too, the CDF will reject it.

So the Remnant and Wanderer must keep teaching the Catholic Faith to Catholics but without the irrational Cushingite interpretation of Walter Matt and many the traditionalists of his time.-Lionel Andrades
