Baptism of Desire Promoters: SSPX (Msgr. Lefebvre), Fatima Center (Fr. Gruner, John Vennari and Fr. Paul Kramer), American Catholic Lawyers Association (Christopher Ferrara), Catholic Family News (Brian McCall and Matt Gaspers) and The Remnant ( Michael Matt) and Michal Voris and Boniface on the blog Unam Sanctam Catholicam

Dear Mr. Voris,

Re: The Vortex. Truth and Enemies of Truth

Truth

Divine Good News:
“Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”  (John 3:5).

Divinely Revealed Dogma:
“There is but one universal [katholikos /catholic] Church of the faithful, outside of which no one at all is saved” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council).

Enemies of  Truth

CCC 846: Changed the Fourth Lateran Council's divinely revealed dogma meaning from “outside the Church”  to  “inside the Church.”
Lionel: This is when it is interpreted with Cushingism and not Feeneyism.
____________________________

SBC Richmond NH: “We affirm that the dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus must be interpreted according to the official doctrine of the Church."  [Meaning not necessarily believed as stated.]
Lionel : The ecclesiastics at the Vatican interpret EENS with Cushingism while Brother Andre Marie MICM interprets it with Feeneyism.
____________________________

EWTN (Colin Donovan): “The doctrine that 'Outside the Church there is no salvation' is one that is constantly misinterpreted by those who won't submit to the Magisterium of the Church.”
Lionel: Colin Donovan like the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith interprets EENS with Cushingism. They also interpret the baptism of desire etc with Cushingism.
_____________________________

Baltimore Catechism: Corrupted the Nicene Creed's “one baptism” to three baptisms: “water, blood and desire;” an error of desire (Eph 4;20-21) and not what we learned from Christ. (Mark 16:15-16.)
Lionel: They did not clarify that the baptism of desire is not visible or repeatable like the baptism of water and there are no baptism of desire cases which can be judged and known to us human beings.
______________________________

There is nothing from the Solemn Magisterium to support “baptism of desire” as a substitute for the Sacrament of Baptism and membership in the Church. The Council of Trent (held to counter Martin Luther's “Justification by Faith Alone”) defined that the absolution of original sin can only be by the Sacrament of Baptism. (Session 6 Chapter 7), nor is there salvation without water baptism. (Session 7 Canon 2)
Lionel. I agree.

Baptism of Desire Promoters: SSPX (Msgr. Lefebvre), Fatima Center (Fr. Gruner, John Vennari and Fr. Paul Kramer), American Catholic Lawyers Association (Christopher Ferrara), Catholic Family News (Brian McCall and Matt Gaspers) and The Remnant ( Michael Matt).
Lionel: I agree.Supporters also include the present two popes who interpret the baptism of desire with Cushingism i.e they refer to personally known people saved outside the Church. So they become exceptions to EENS.
Even Michael Voris, Christine Niles and the others at Church Militant TV interpret the baptism of desire with Cushingism. They also interpret Vatican Council II ( LG 8, LG 14, LG 16 etc) with Cushingim, which results in heresy. It is the same with Boniface on the blog Unam Sanctam Catholicam.
