The Council supports exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church as did St. Robert Bellarmine, St. Francis Xavier , St.Ignatius of Loyola. 

Vatican Council II is in harmony with St. Teresa of Avila's concept of Lutheranism and St. Francis di Sales concept of heresies and heretics..

It's news when Cardinal Ladaria made a mistake at the Placuet Deo Press Conference and confused Lumen Gentium 8 as being a reference to known salvation outside the Church. Then he assumed LG 8 ( being saved with elements of sanctification and truth in other religions, or where the true Church of Christ subsists outside the Church) referred to a known person  and was an exception to the past teaching  on the Church having an exclusiveness and superiority on salvation.

It's news when Vatican Council II  supports Don Bosco's concept of Islamism.

But Massimo Faggioli, John Allen and Michael Sean Winters are not reporting it.

Instead there seems a censorship of reports on  Vatican Council II. It is not reported that the Council  supports the strict interpretation of outside the Church there is no salvation.Perhaps this does not meet some European Union standard.

Vatican Council II being traditional would be a disappointment for many. Pope Francis' entire Amazon Synod, with all its confusion is based upon Vatican Council II being interpreted with a false premise and inference.

Now its a surprise when many discover and admit that even though Congers, Rahner, Bea and Ratzinger  were there at Vatican Council II, the Council can be interpreted  in harmony with the ecclesiology of the Jesuit missionaries in the Middle Ages.

This is taking the Church back to the time of Jesus, the time of his disciples, the Early Catholics and the Church Fathers.

 Vatican Council II in itself is not a rupture with Tradition and so Archbishop Lefebvre and the SSPX bishop were wrong.This is news.But it is not being reported by the liberal media.

 

 

There was a report in a left wing media which mentioned Banon's 'army' but there is no report which says Vatican Council II supports Steve Bannon's orthodoxy  and populism.

We don't hear Matteo Salvini and Goergia Melloni  quoting Vatican Council II on the need for migrants to convert  with 'faith and baptism' to avoid Hell(AG 7, Vatican Council II).We do not hear Roberto Fiore saying there is no known  salvation outside the Catholic Church, since LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc refer to personally unknown cases  in 2019. The norm for going to Heaven is faith and baptism(AG 7, LG 14).So Vatican Council II supports the proclamation of the Social Reign of Christ the King.

This is not new.When Cardinal Angelo Amato was Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican  he called for mission based upon Vatican Council II.In an interview with the then independent daily Avvenire, he particularly cited AG 7 and LG 14. All need faith and baptism for salvation. All. So mission is necessary.
