Archbishop Guido Pozzo at Ecclesia Dei was interpreting Vatican Council II with a false premise to create a rupture with Tradition and he was telling the SSPX that Vatican Council II could be interpreted with the hermeneutic of continuity with Tradition. Pope Benedict was saying the same and so also Archbishop Augustine di Noia. Meanwhile in 2016 Pope Benedict said in an interview with Avvenire that EENS was no more today like it was for the missionaries in the 16th century since there was a development with Vatican Council II. He interpreted the EENS and the Council with the false premise to create a hermeneutic of rupture for him with EENS
