Pope Benedict and Archbishop Lefebvre considered what was not Magisterial as being Magisterial.

 When Pope Benedict  interpreted Vatican Counci II, with a false premise, he considered it Magisterial, and it was not Magisterial.This was also his approach to the baptism of desire, invincible ignorance and extra ecclesiam nulla salus. 

When Archbishop Lefebvre and the SSPX bishops, interprerted Vatican Council II with the same false premise and also the baptism of desire and invincible ignorance and extra ecclesiam nullla salus, they thought it was Magisterial,but it was not Magisterial. -Lionel Andrades
