Historic SSPX homily

The SSPX priest at the last Sunday morning 11 am Mass at the St. Catherine of Siena chapel in Rome, in his homily, did not mention the Council. This was historic. It was a first. There was no mention of Vatican Council II.

But there were also no comment on these blog posts which I e-mailed to the SSPX centers in Italy, including Albano, Lazio.

The priest on Sunday spoke well about St. Francis de Sales and his combat against the Protestant heretics but he did not mention how Vatican Council II, interpreted rationally supports the ecclesiology of the saints in the 12th to 16th century.

This would seem too radical for the SSPX congregation.

So for over 10 years there is no official comment from the SSPX. They are comfortable interpreting the Council, irrationally like the liberals, and then condemn it.

I agree, Vatican Council II (irrational) should not be accepted but the Council interpreted rationally is in harmony with the ecclesiology of the St. Francis de Sales.- Lionel Andrades
