Domincan Sister on the bus in Rome

Yesterday evening on the 916 bus route in Rome I showed a Dominican sister my enlarged Salvation Badge ( see below). She said she accepted the Fourth Lateran Council (1215) and the Council of Florence (1442) and that Vatican Council II was not a rupture with either of them. I was surprised. Since she studies at the University of St.Thomas Aquinas, Rome.

I asked again and she confirmed it with the same answer.

So I said that for me the two Councils in 1215 and 1442 do not mention the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance and for me they are physically invisible cases. She agreed.

So are you saying there are no exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS), according to the old Councils? I asked.

She said it depends upon how you interpret it. Have you heard of Fr. Feeney ? She asked. He was excommunicated she said.

Then it was clear to me that she had rejected the past Councils and Vatican Council II was a rupture with the past-Tradition for her. It was expected. This is the political position of the Dominican faculty at the Angelicum.

I did not tell her that the excommunication of Fr. Leonard Feeney was lifted during his life time without him having to recant.

Instead I  said in The 1949 Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston with reference to Fr. Leonard Feeney(LOHO), there is the reference to the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance. They are invisible cases. She had earlier agreed with me.Invisible cases could not be objective exceptions for Feeneyite EENS. The 1949 LOHO made a mistake. Pope Pius XII approved it.

Fr. Leonard Feeney was affirming the past Councils over the centuries and for him the baptism of desire refers to an invisible case. This is indicated in the book The Bread of Life.

So how could he be in heresy for supporting the past Councils and interpreting the baptism of desire, rationally, as they did over the centuries?

The Boson Heresy Case really referred to the heresy of Pope Pius XII, Cardinal Richard Cushing and the American Jesuits. In other words it is the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican, which is in heresy and schism today and not Brother Andre Marie micm and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

They were projecting the BOD and I.I as exceptions for EENS. In other words these were visible cases. So their premise was irrational and with the irrational premise they did away with the dogma EENS.

Where are the people saved with the BOD and I.I.? There are none in our reality. They can only be known to God.

She said her stop had come and she had to leave.- Lionel Andrades

P.S: THE BAPTISM OF DESIRE (BOD), BAPTISM OF BLOOD(BOB) AND BEING SAVED IN INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE (I.I) ARE ALWAYS HYPOTHETICAL AND PHYSICALLY INVISIBLE CASES. SO THEY DO NOT CONTRADICT THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS (EENS).

THE BOD, BOB AND I.I ARE  NOT KNOWN PEOPLE IN PERSONAL CASES. THERE ARE NO PHYSICALLY VISIBLE CASES OF BEING SAVED IN INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE.SO THEY ARE NOT OBJECTIVE EXCEPTIONS FOR THE DOGMA EENS IN 1965-2023.

AD GENTES 7 AND LUMEN GENTIUM 14 SUPPORT THE DOGMA EENS .LG 8,14, 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 ETC ARE NOT PRACTICAL EXCEPTIONS FOR  AG 7/ LG 14 AND THE DOGMA EENS. THE COUNCIL HAS THE HERMENEUTIC OF CONTINUITY WITH THE SYLLABUS OF ERRORS, THE ATHANASIUS CREED AND THE CATECHISM OF POPE PIUS X ( 24Q,27Q).
