Now in theology and doctrine the SSPX are liberal like the Focolares and support the Left like the Sant Egido organization. They accept the irrationality of the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office and interpret Vatican Council II, the Creeds and Catechisms like Rahner, Ratzinger and Congar.

 

The Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) is part of the false Church when they interpret Vatican Council II irrationally. When they interpret LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc, rationally i.e.  as invisible and hypothetical cases in 2023 than they are in the spirit of Mystical Body of Christ, the one, true Church.

Now they are not authentic. Since like the liberal Church they have compromised on doctrine. They are political and not Catholic. They say they are traditionalists-and this is true-but they also are false on the subject of Vatican Council II (irrational) etc.

I interpret Vatican Council II rationally. So there is no rupture with Tradition. I can go for the Latin or Italian Mass in Rome. There is no change in doctrine. My theology is not outside the Church there is known salvation; visible cases of non Catholics saved without faith and the baptism of water.

The SSPX removed Bishop Richard Williamson and Fr. Florian Abrahamovich to appease the Jewish Left.In the same way they have to interpret Vatican Council II irrationally, which is political and not Catholic.

On 5 February 2009,the Italian chapter of the Society of St. Pius X issued a notification that from the following day Abrahamowicz was expelled from the Society "for serious disciplinary reasons": "Father Florian Abrahamowicz has for some time been expressing opinions differing from the official views of the Society of St. Pius X. The ‘official view of the Society of St. Pius  X’, Pope Francis and the Jewish Left is that Vatican Council II must be interpreted with the irrational premise, inference and non traditional conclusion. The Council can be interpreted with the rational premise, inference and traditional conclusion. It will be  in harmony with the Athanasius Creed, the Syllabus of Errors and the Catechism of Pope Pius X. But this would be ‘an opinion differing from the official view of the Society’. - Lionel Andrades
