The SSPX is not clearly affirming the Faith on Vatican Council II since then they would have to endorse the strict interpretation of the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation. This is a political issue.

 

The SSPX is choosing doctrinal ambiguity and error and this pleases the Left. If the SSPX affirms the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) they will be persecuted by the Left and the Vatican.

At the SSPX chapel in Rome I notice the people are comfortable.  They have good jobs. Some are very wealthy. It is the same as those who go for the Novus Ordo Mass in Italian. Life is comfortable. It is the same for the priests of the SSPX. It is the same for the priests in the main line Catholic Church.

I am aware that I am different. I look different. I dress different. I can interpret Vatican Council II differently. I don’t have much to lose financially. I have already lost all that some 25 years back when I chose poverty and to be faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church which do not change.

But at the SSPX chapel in Rome and at Albano they cannot say the same. They are choosing to interpret Vatican Council II and a break with Tradition- even the liberals do this.

They are not choosing to interpret Vatican Council II as continuity with Tradition.

They choosing the interpret LG8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc irrationally and not rationally.

They want to be accepted by the Left and the Vatican.

This is also the policy of Roberto dei Mattei, Peter Kwasniewski, Taylor Marshall, Joseph Shaw, Bishop Athanasius Schneider and Cardinal Raymond Burke. They are part of the status quo, the establishment Church.

So they are not going to interpret LG 8 LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc rationally. They need Vatican Council II to be a break with Tradition.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider also needs to be accepted by the Vatican and the Left. Diane Montagna cannot discuss this issue or she will lose her press credentials with the Vatican. It is the same with Edwin Pentin. The NCR and EWTN will remove him. It is the same with Raymond Arroyo.

So they are all interpreting Vatican Council II irrationally and maintaining the good life.
