The baptism of desire (BOD) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I) is always invisible for us human beings. It exists only in our mind as a possibility. So when asked about it the popes and saints over the centuries, did not confuse it as a practical example of salvation outside the Church and an exception to the traditional interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS). But this was the mistake of the Americanists  at Boston ( Letter of the Holy Office 1949/Boston College Heresy) and those at Baltimore when the Baltimore Catechism placed the BOD in the Baptism Section.It was as if the BOD is visible and repeatable like the baptism of water.

The Americanists were thinking ahead.So in Vatican Council II invisible BOD and I.I were projected as visible examples of salvation outside the Church.So everyone did not need to enter the Church with faith and baptism, was the new conclusion. The new revelation in the Catholic Church.

Now the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF), Vatican has officially asked Brother Andre Marie MICM and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, at the St. Benedict Center, NH, USA, to interpret invincible ignorance (I.I) etc, as an exception to EENS.

This is a victory for the Americanists and the Masons.
