For me the baptism of desire(BOD) is compatible with Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS). I can accept both of them without any contradiction.For the Society of St. Pius X(SSPX), the BOD is an exception to Feeneyite EENS. The SSPX bishops and priests have to accept either one or the other

For me, being saved in invincible ignorance, through no fault of the person, is compatible with Feeneyite EENS.I can accept both of them.It is not either-or for me.For Pope Benedict and Cardinal Ladaria in two papers of the International Theological Commission, Vatican, Lumen Gentium 16( invincible ignorance) is an exception to Feeneyite EENS. So they reject the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Unknown cases are projected as objective and practical exceptions to EENS. -Lionel Andrades
