EWTN Live - Vatican II : Theologian Douglas Bushman is still at it. He uses the false premise to interpret Vatican Council II and does not deny it. He has no theological response

DOUGLAS BUSHMAN, S.T.L.
Professor of Theology, Pope St. John Paul II Chair of Theology for the New Evangelization

Biography
One of the greatest blessings of my life was to have all that my parents raised me to be and all that I had previously learned confirmed and set forth in a systematically compelling way in my undergraduate studies in philosophy at the College of St. Thomas (B.A. 1976). Providence arranged that during those four formative years men and women of outstanding Christian virtue and learning would inspire me and occasion a hearing of the call to holiness as never before. The resulting desire to know my faith more fully led to graduate studies at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland (S.T.L., 1980), where I studied under the Dominican faculty who imparted a vibrant Thomism that incorporates the study of Scripture and the Church Fathers, the teaching of Vatican II, and the best of pre- and post-Vatican II theology. Years of teaching theology at virtually every level of the Church’s life—parish adult education, diocesan formation for catechists, adults, deacon candidates, and Catholic school teachers and administrators—has reinforced that the speculative and pastoral dimensions of theology mutually enrich one another. As a member of the faculty of the Augustine Institute, all of this is now placed at the service of research, publishing, and teaching on the New Evangelization.
