France comes back to Tradition

 

The Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) doctrinal and theological problem in France has been settled. Their prayers have been heard. It is the French Bishops Conference which has a problem. Vatican Council II has deserted them.

I can now go for Mass in France in Latin or French and Vatican Council II is constant. The French bishops don’t know this yet. No one has told them.

The mainline Church returns to Tradition in France but also to martyrdom and persecution. There is no other choice. Since Vatican Council II has to be interpreted honestly in public. 

The judges of the secular and Church courts and tribunals have to interpret the Councils only honestly. Since the truth is now out. Lay Catholics know that they can interpret LG 8, LG14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2 and GS 22 as being always hypothetical cases only. This is something obvious for even someone who does not have a degree in theology.

So if Vatican Council II is a break with Tradition and in particular the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS), then it implies that LG 8 etc are known people saved outside the Church in the present times. They are exceptions for EENS, the Syllabus of Errors and the Athanasius Creed. So the old Catechisms are obsolete. The ecclesiology of the Latin Mass and the pre-1962 Missal is finished. The Latin Mass belongs to another era is their conclusion. There is a new Magisterium, as Cardinal Arthur Roche, puts it.

But now we know that LG etc always refers to a physically invisible case. This is common sense.

Even the French bishops will agree. They cannot meet or see someone saved with the baptism of desire (LG 14) or in invincible ignorance (LG 16). No one knows of a non Catholic saved outside the Catholic Church where the true Church of Christ subsists (LG 8). If there was a Christian saved in ‘imperfect communion with the Church’ (UR 3) it would only be known to God. So the Catechism of the Catholic Church 847-848( invincible ignorance) do not contradict Lumen Gentium 14 cited in CCC 846.CCC 847-848 does not contradict Feeneyite EENS.Neither do we know of someone saved outside the Church because ‘God is not limited to the Sacraments’(CCC 1257- The Necessity of Baptism).

Big problem.

How do the French bishops now interpret the Council?

Fake it? Pretend? Nothing new has happened? Business as usual. This is what Bishop Roland Minnerath did in Dijone, France, when the removed the FSSP priests. He did not tell the diocesan priests to interpret Vatican Council II rationally at even the Novus Ordo Mass. He was following the politics of the Left, given to him.

Now we know. The people know. There is a new discovery. Catholics in Dijone and the rest of France can re-interpret Vatican Council II and they are back to Tradition.

It is like watering the roots of a plant or tree. With one simple step, one action, the whole tree is nourished-branches, leaves, roots etc.

Now we know. We simply interpret LG 8 etc rationally and we go back to the ecclesiology of the old liturgy. We go back to the pre-1949 Catholic Church in faith and morals. We can only use the old Roman Missal since does not have its foundation in Vatican Council II (irrational).

Many of the French bishops will not like this. It was an easy religion with no tension.

Now we are back to the religion of St.Joan of Arc. This was the religion the Vendees died for. The French ecclesiastical hierarchy will be opposed by the Left.- Lionel Andrades
