He has said that the Catholic Church teaches that Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam and the other religions are not paths to salvation. They are not paths to go to Heaven and avoid Hell.
Secondly the Catholic Church teaches that Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water are needed for all people (except for the exceptions, those in invincible ignorance etc) for salvation.
Thirdly if he was in Boston, USA and met a Jew he could say that the Catholic Church teaches that he (the Jew) needs to enter the Catholic Church for salvation. He needs Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water for salvation.
