Fr. Paulo Suess interprets Vatican Council II like the Lefebvrists and the liberals.

If ‘pagan’ rites are part of Amazon synod, they’re still ‘worship of God’: synod working doc writer-by Maike Hickson

Lionel: He is a professor of missiology at a pontifical approved institution and interprets Vatican Council II like the Lefebvrists and the liberals. Based on Vatican Council II he and the present two popes have rejected exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church. They interpret Vatican Council II with Cushingism instead of Feeneyism. For the Lefebvrists and the liberal ecclesiastics and priests, Lumen Gentium contradicts the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS).

Not for me. I interpret Vatican Council II with Feeneyism. Lumen Gentium does not contradict the traditional interpretation of EENS and there being no salvation outside the Church, including, in the Amazon.

October 23, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – The key author of the Amazon Synod's working document, Fr. Paulo Suess, has just given an interview to Vatican News, in which he discussed the heavily criticized pagan ceremonies that have been taking place in the last two weeks in the Vatican, and conducted also in the presence of Pope Francis. With regard to the claim that some of the ceremonies with the Pope were pagan, Suess said “so what. Even if it would have been a pagan rite, then it is nevertheless a pagan worship of God.”
Lionel: The interpretation of Vatican Council II by the Lefebvrists and liberals creates this indifferentism. Since if there can be known salvation outside the Church, then why cannot most people be saved outside the Church in their religion or with no religion?
The present two popes interpret EENS with Cushingism so BOD, BOB and I.I are exceptions to Feeneyite EENS. They also interpret Vatican Council II with Cushingism. So LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc are exceptions to 16th century EENS. This is a new theology and new ecclesiology and it shows in the indifferentism and syncretism at the Amazon Synod.
The liberals and Lefebvrists could interpret LG 8 etc as not being practical exceptions to Feeneyite EENS however they choose the Masonic-approved version which would not be controversial.
Over a few years now I have been asking  some traditionalists if they acknowledge that I am saying that BOD, BOB and I.I and LG 8,LG 16 etc are not exceptions to EENS as it was known to the Magisterium and missionaries in the 16th century? They will not answer. They are Lefebvrists.
For them LG 8 etc are exceptions to EENS they have always been exceptions. It is the same with the liberal priests and religious at the Amazon Synod.

In his new October 17 Vatican News intervie, Fr. Suess – who is a professor of missiology in Sao Paolo, Brazil...
“So what,” was Suess's personal response. “Even if it would have been a pagan rite, then it is nevertheless a pagan worship of God.”
Lionel: This is what they are teaching at the pontifical universities and seminaries in Rome and also the Society of St. Pius X seminaries.
At the SSPX seminaries they will criticize other religions as not being paths to salvation but with their Cushingite theology they accept that there are exceptions to EENS. Since there are exceptions to EENS there is salvation outside the Church. Since there is salvation outside the Church, non Catholics are saved in their religion. So the SSPX  cannot say that in 2019 all non Catholics need to convert into the Catholic Church, with no exceptions, to avoid Hell. There are exceptions for the SSPX and the sedevacantists. They are not Feeneyites.
So there are also exceptions for Fr. Suess and so now he is saying that people of other religions do not need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation. It was based upon these exceptions, in the interpretation of Vatican Council II, Pope Francis issued his Abu Dhabi Declaration.
He said that he had not moved from Vatican Council II and what he had said was based upon Vatican Council II. He meant Vatican Council II ( Cushingite).
It is the same with Pope Benedict. His New Ecumenism and New Evangelisation is based upon Vatican Council II( Cushingite).
For me there can only be a Vatican Council II ( Feeneyite) and an EENS ( Feeneyite). So there is no new evangelisation, new ecumenism, new theology, new ecclesiology etc.All this 'newness' only comes with the exception-theory.

Suess is also adversely critical of the traditional missionary activity of the Catholic Church in South America. He claimed this year: “We do not have the right to proselytize, to belittle the religion of the other or to entice [others] to conversions. The people themselves must resolve which one is the best religion for this historical moment.”
Lionel: We must respond with a rational interpretation of Vatican Council II , the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other papal documents, before and after Vatican Council II.
I mentioned in a previous blog post that the Coetus Internationalis Patrum Working Group had three options:-

1. They could have cited the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) and stated that LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2,  GS 22 etc are not exceptions to EENS. This is ecclesiocentricism. It supports exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church.

2.They could have cited Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation. This is ecclesiocentricism.Again with LG 8 etc not being exceptions to AG 7 the Council supports an exclusivist ecclesiology, like that of the missionaries in the 16th century.

3. They could have cited the Catechism of the Catholic Church(845,846,1257) which says God wants all people to be united in the Catholic Church ( CCC 845) ,the Church is compared to the Ark of Noah that saves in the flood(CCC 845)and in which all must enter to be saved. This was the traditional motivation for mission.
They could have cited AG 7 mentioned in CCC 846. It could also be clarified that even though all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church, we do not know any exceptions, to the strict interpretation of EENS. So CCC 846 no where contradicts the strict interpretation of EENS.

CCC 1257 says that the Church knows of no means to eternal salvation other than the baptism of water, while, we humans cannot know of any case in which someone is saved outside the Church since God is not limited to the Sacraments (CCC 1257).This too is ecclesiocentricism.Membership in the Church, with faith and baptism, is necessary for salvation, to avoid the fires of Hell where the non Catholic Amazonians will go after death.

So we have Vatican Council II, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the dogma EENS saying the Church has an exclusiveness and superiority in salvation. It has an ecclesiocentric ecclesiology. Like the Magisterium and missionaries of the 16th century it is saying outside the Church there is no salvation. This is the Conciliar Church which is not referenced in articles and books on Vatican Council II.
We need to start intepreting Vatican Council II with the red not being an exception to the blue. 1

 7. This missionary activity derives its reason from the will of God, "who wishes all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Himself a man, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom for all" (1 Tim. 2:45), "neither is there salvation in any other" (Acts 4:12). Therefore, all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door. Therefore those men cannot be saved, who though aware that God, through Jesus Christ founded the Church as something necessary, still do not wish to enter into it, or to persevere in it."(17) Therefore though God in ways known to Himself can lead those inculpably ignorant of the Gospel to find that faith without which it is impossible to please Him (Heb. 11:6), yet a necessity lies upon the Church (1 Cor. 9:16), and at the same time a sacred duty, to preach the Gospel. And hence missionary activity today as always retains its power and necessity.-Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II

Coetus Internationalis Patrum Working Group made an error in quoting Dominus Iesus without making the Cushingite - Feeneyite distinction.

1. Amazonian diversity, which is above all religious diversity, evokes a new Pentecost (IL 30): respect for this diversity means to recognize that there are other paths to salvation, without reserving salvation exclusively to the Catholic faith. Non-Catholic Christian groups teach other modalities of being Church, without censures, without dogmatism, without ritual disciplines and ecclesial forms (IL 138); the Catholic Church ought to integrate these modalities. Reserving salvation exclusively to the Creed is destructive of the Creed (IL 39).
Against this, among other texts: Dominus Iesus 14 and 16.

14.  It must therefore be firmly believed as a truth of Catholic faith that the universal salvific will of the One and Triune God is offered and accomplished once for all in the mystery of the incarnation, death, and resurrection of the Son of God.

Bearing in mind this article of faith, theology today, in its reflection on the existence of other religious experiences and on their meaning in God's salvific plan, is invited to explore if and in what way the historical figures and positive elements of these religions may fall within the divine plan of salvation. In this undertaking, theological research has a vast field of work under the guidance of the Church's Magisterium.  The Second Vatican Council, in fact, has stated that: “the unique mediation of the Redeemer does not exclude, but rather gives rise to a manifold cooperation which is but a participation in this one source”.43 The content of this participated mediation should be explored more deeply, but must remain always consistent with the principle of Christ's unique mediation: “Although participated forms of mediation of different kinds and degrees are not excluded, they acquire meaning and value only from Christ's own mediation, and they cannot be understood as parallel or complementary to his”.44 Hence, those solutions that propose a salvific action of God beyond the unique mediation of Christ would be contrary to Christian and Catholic faith.(It still is Christology. It does not state membership in the Church is necessary with faith and baptism for salvation(Ad Gentes 7).

IV. UNICITY AND UNITY OF THE CHURCH
16.  The Lord Jesus, the only Saviour, did not only establish a simple community of disciples, but constituted the Church as a salvific mystery: he himself is in the Church and the Church is in him (cf. Jn 15:1ff.; Gal 3:28; Eph 4:15-16; Acts 9:5).  Therefore, the fullness of Christ's salvific mystery belongs also to the Church, inseparably united to her Lord. Indeed, Jesus Christ continues his presence and his work of salvation in the Church and by means of the Church (cf. Col 1:24-27),47 which is his body (cf. 1 Cor 12:12-13, 27; Col 1:18).48 And thus, just as the head and members of a living body, though not identical, are inseparable, so too Christ and the Church can neither be confused nor separated, and constitute a single “whole Christ”.49 This same inseparability is also expressed in the New Testament by the analogy of the Church as the Bride of Christ (cf. 2 Cor 11:2; Eph 5:25-29; Rev 21:2,9).
(The Church is mentioned in a vague way. It is not stated that all need to be members of the Catholic Church with faith and baptism for salvation(Ad Genets 7). It does not state that all need to be members of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell ( for salvation) and so is in harmony with the dogma EENS etc.)
Therefore, in connection with the unicity and universality of the salvific mediation of Jesus Christ, the unicity of the Church founded by him must be firmly believed as a truth of Catholic faith. Just as there is one Christ, so there exists a single body of Christ, a single Bride of Christ: “a single Catholic and apostolic Church”.51 Furthermore, the promises of the Lord that he would not abandon his Church (cf. Mt 16:18; 28:20) and that he would guide her by his Spirit (cf. Jn 16:13) mean, according to Catholic faith, that the unicity and the unity of the Church — like everything that belongs to the Church's integrity — will never be lacking.

(Still Cardinal Ratzinger does not support exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church and the necessity for all to be members. Since he accepted the irrationality of the Holy Office 1949 in the Fr. Leonard Feeney case. BOD; BOB and I.I were exceptions to EENS for him. So the Church no more had an ecclesiocentric ecclesiology. So Dominus Iesus cannot really be quoted to contradict the error in the Working Paper which rejects exclusive salvation in the Catholic Church and all needing to enter with faith and baptism to avoid Hell).

The Catholic faithful are required to profess that there is an historical continuity — rooted in the apostolic succession53 — between the Church founded by Christ and the Catholic Church: “This is the single Church of Christ... which our Saviour, after his resurrection, entrusted to Peter's pastoral care (cf. Jn 21:17), commissioning him and the other Apostles to extend and rule her (cf. Mt 28:18ff.), erected for all ages as ‘the pillar and mainstay of the truth' (1 Tim 3:15). This Church, constituted and organized as a society in the present world, subsists in [subsistit in] the Catholic Church, governed by the Successor of Peter and by the Bishops in communion with him”.54  With the expression subsistit in, the Second Vatican Council sought to harmonize two doctrinal statements: on the one hand, that the Church of Christ, despite the divisions which exist among Christians, continues to exist fully only in the Catholic Church, and on the other hand, that “outside of her structure, many elements can be found of sanctification and truth”,55 that is, in those Churches and ecclesial communities which are not yet in full communion with the Catholic Church.56 But with respect to these, it needs to be stated that “they derive their efficacy from the very fullness of grace and truth entrusted to the Catholic Church”.

(Again he rejects the dogma EENS according to the Magisterium of the 16 th century so he does not bring up the point of BOD, BOB and I.I not being exceptions to EENS and so there is no salvation outside the Church. Instead there is salvation outside the Church, for him, BOD, BOB and I.I are exceptions to EENS and so the ecumenism of return is rejected and a New Ecumenism is created. etc. )

So Coetus made an error in quoting Dominus Iesus without making the Cushingite - Feeneyite distinction.-Lionel Andrades

Coetus Internationalis Patrum Working Group had three options

The Coetus Internationalis Patrum Working Group had three options:-
1. They could have cited the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) and stated that LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2,  GS 22 etc are not exceptions to EENS. This is ecclesiocentricism.
2.They could have cited Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation. This is ecclesiocentricism.
3. They could have cited the Catechism of the Catholic Church(845,846,1257) which says God wants all people to be united in the Catholic Church ( CCC 845) ,the Church is compared to the Ark of Noah that saves in the flood(CCC 845)and in which all must enter to be saved.
CCC 1257 says that the Church knows of no means to eternal salvation other than the baptism of water, while, we humans cannot know of any case in which someone is saved outside the Church since God is not limited to the Sacraments (CCC 1257).This too is ecclesiocentricism.
This was not done by Coetus.
The New Theology is created by assuming that BOD, BOB and I.I are exceptions to Feeneyite EENS. So the New Theology is outside the Church there is salvation. There are alleged physically visible and personally known non Catholics saved outside the Church.
So Cardinal Ratzinger refers to those saved in other religions through the good things in those religions or, all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church(CCC 846).
SO when the Coetus group cites Dominus Iesus 14 and 16 which is Christological without being ecclesiocentric, it does not say every one needs to be a members of the Catholic Church for salvation ( to avoid Hell), the liberals will  say that non Catholics in the Amazon are saved outside the Church in their religion. So there is no need for mission or conversion.
We now know that Lumen Gentium and the rest of Vatican Council II does not contradict the strict interpretation of EENS. While AG 7 and CCC 845, 846, 1257 support the past exclusivist ecclesiology of the Catholic Church and an ecumenism of return. This is the Conciliar Church-Lionel Andrades
