Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano affirms the necessity of the Church for salvation states a report on the website Catholicism.org. However the report by Brother Andre Marie MICM does not mention that the Archbishop like the Lefebvrist traditionalists interprets Vatican Council II with the false premise instead of without it. He reads Vatican Council II with Cushingism instead of Feeneyism.
So his conclusion is that there is salvation outside the Church and so God wills a plurality of religions for salvation.
He noticed :
Last Sunday, the Church celebrated the Most Holy Trinity, and in the Breviary it offers us the recitation of the Symbolum Athanasianum, now outlawed by the conciliar liturgy and already reduced to only two occasions in the liturgical reform of 1962. The first words of that now-disappeared Symbolum remain inscribed in letters of gold: “Quicumque vult salvus esse, ante omnia opus est ut teneat Catholicam fidem; quam nisi quisque integram inviolatamque servaverit, absque dubio in aeternum peribit – Whosoever wishes to be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the Catholic faith; For unless a person shall have kept this faith whole and inviolate, without doubt he shall eternally perish.” 1
The Symbolum Athanasianum is obsolete with Archbishop Vigano's Cushingite interpretation of Vatican Council II.
It was important for Archbishop Vigano to explain the difference between Cushingism and Feeneyism.
It is also important for Brother Andre Marie MICM to do the same.
Some time back there was a report on Catholicism.org on the four marks of the Church. Even Fr. Thomas Weinandy wrote a report on another website on this subject. But they both had to qualify if they interpret Vatican Council II and other magisterial documents with Cushingism or Feeneyism, with the false premise or without it.
Since even Cardinal Walter Kasper could affirm the four marks of the Church and we know that he interprets Vatican Council II with Cushingism. So there are objective exceptions to Feeneyite EENS,for him. God wills a plurality of religions for salvation for him and EENS is obsolete.
Cardinal Muller also interpreted Vatican Council II with Cushingism and he could affirm the four marks of the Church. But with Cushingism he knew that he was rejecting the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX.
Cardinal Ratzinger could also affirm the four marks of the Church but he interprets Vatican Council II with Cushingism and so the Athanasius Creed had become obsolete for him.
