“my church”- Jesus

Carmelites priest believes non Catholics can be saved who are not visible members of the Church and this is the ordinary way of salvation and these cases are not known to us, so all non Catholics and non Christians do not have to enter the Church visibly as the dogma teaches

The Gospel reading (Saturday evening Aug.20, 2011) carried those two special words “my church”. Jesus gives St. Peter the ‘keys’ and calls His Church “my church”. At that time there were no Sola Scriptura Protestant community nor Orthodox Christians in schism. There was only one church. One community.

The long line of popes from St. Peter is traced only to the Catholic Church. Only in this Church there is salvation and if anyone is saved who is not a visible member of this Church it would be known only to God. We don’t even know if today there really is someone saved who is not a formal, visible member of the Church. All the same, in heaven there are only Catholics.

The elderly Carmelite priest in his homily Saturday evening at the Church Santa Maria della Vittoria, Rome said we must be faithful to the pope not only when he speaks ex cathedra but also in his ordinary magisterium. True in general but we cannot be faithful to the pope when he contradicts the ordinary and extra ordinary magisterium of the previous popes.

Pope Benedict XVI has said Jews do not have to convert in the present time according to Zenit News and other media. He contradicts Jesus in the Bible and an ex cathdra dogma, thrice defined - extra ecclesiam nulla salus. He contradicts Lumen Gentium 14 and Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II which indicates Catholic faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way of salvation. He contradicts Pope John Paul (Dominus Iesus 20, CCC 846 etc)

The Carmelite priest himself was having difficulty with this teaching and could not say everyone needs to be a visible member of the Church with no exception (Cantate Domino, Council of Florence).

MEDUGORJE CONTRADICTS VATICAN COUNCIL II

Franciscan priests approve messages of visionaries before public announcement: Lumen Gentium 14, Ad Gentes 7 indicates Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way of salvation for all, while Vicka says most people go to Heaven and Marija recommends a book which states the opposite. The book recommended by Our Lady to Marija affirms the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus as it was interpreted for centuries.

I personally believe that Our Lady is present in Medugorje in a very special way. I would recommend that Catholics make a private pilgrimage, attend Mass at the Church , and be part of the prayers, even if you do not meet the visionaries. I have been there twice. I have also read The Poem of the Man God by Maria Valtorta.

I was there when Fr. Slavko Barbaric OFM was present and made time to talk with me often. He was the Spiritual Director of the visionaries. I know that the visionaries later had different Spiritual Directors who would approve the messages of Our Lady before they were announced publicly. In Medugorje, personal questions are asked of Our Lady but the answers are not always made public.

The visionaries love the Church and are faithful to the teaching of the Church as explained to them by the Franciscan priests.

May be the system has changed since sometime back I saw on You tube a film of Mirjana receiving a message from Our Lady. She wrote it down immediately and it was announced in public. There was no priest there.

Vicka, one of the visionaries who has been shown Heaven and Hell by Our Lady, said that Our Lady told here that most people go to Heaven and few go to Hell.

This contradicts Vatican Council II (AG 7, LG 14), the ex cathedra dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence and the Bible. Jesus says the road to Hell is wide and most people take it so enter through the narrow gate. Jesus also aks us to proclaim the Good News and the person who does not believe in it will be condemned (Mk.16:16).John 3:5 says every one needs the Baptism of water for salvation and we know the Eucharist is needed by all for salvation in John Chapter 6.

Most people in the world are not baptized with water and do not have access to the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist yet Vicka says most people go to Heaven. Millions of people know about Jesus and the Church through education and world wide communications. They are oriented to Hell according to Vatican Council II (AG 7).

Vicka also contradicts Vatican Council II (LG 14, AG 7) which indicates that the ordinary way of salvation for all people is Catholic Faith and the baptism of water. This means non Catholics, without the Sacraments, in general are oriented to Hell at the time of death. This teaching is not contradicted by Lumen Gentium 16 on invincible ignorance and a good conscience. This is how the liberals and secular media interprets it.

The traditional teaching for centuries has been everyone with no exception needs to be an explicit, visible member of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

The Catholic Church still teaches that the ordinary means of salvation are not other religions. (Redemptoris Missio 55)

Non Catholics can be saved with the baptism of desire ‘in certain circumstances’ (Letter of the Holy Office 1949). The baptism of desire is not the ordinary means of salvation. Implicit salvation i.e. those saved with a good conscience, invincible ignorance etc, is known only to God – and since everyone needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of water to be saved, millions of non Catholics are oriented to Hell, they are on the way to Hell at the time of death. If there are any exceptions among them  it would be known to God, however in general they would be lost eternally.

The road to Hell is wide and most people take it says Jesus. The saints also say that most people go to Hell e.g. St. Louis di Montfort. Non Catholics need to convert to avoid the fires of Hell says the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Cantate Domino, Council of Florence.Vicka’s message contradicts this dogma which has been thrice defined by Church Councils, ex cathedra.

It also contradicts Dominus Iesus 20 which states salvation is open to all people but to receive it all need to enter the Church.

Similarly the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that the Church knows of no means to eternal beatitude other than the baptism of water. All need to enter the Church as through a door (CCC 846).God the Father wants all people to be united in the Catholic Church which is the only Ark of Noah that saves in the Flood.

CCC 1257 mentions that God is not restricted to the Sacraments. There can be non Catholics saved with the baptism of desire, a good conscience, invincible ignorance and they would not be known to us. Since they would be known only to God it is possible in the present times, there may not be a single case. We don’t know.

However in principle (de jure) we accept the possibility of these exceptions; implicit salvation. De facto, in reality, we know that everyone needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation.

De jure, in principle we know that all those who are saved, are saved through Jesus and the Church. De facto we know, every one on earth needs the ordinary means of salvation. We cannot meet anyone on earth who is an exception to the ordinary means of salvation.

Vicka’s message not only contradicts the official teaching of the Catholic Church, according to Magisterial texts, including that of Pope John Paul II ( Redemptoris Missio, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Dominus Iesus, CDF Notification on Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J etc) but Vicka also contradicts a message received by Marija, the other visionary.

Marija’s message was well known among Medugorje pilgrims and was mentioned in books on Medugorje and articles in publications approved at Medugorje.

Our Lady reportedly told Marija to read The Poem of the Man God by Maria Valtorta. Our Lady said this book would help Marija know about the childhood of the Blessed Mother.

A Croatian priest in Medugorje was critical of this book at a meeting of pilgrims where I was present too. The priest, who later left for the USA, was also critical of the apparitions of Our Lady at Medugorje.

It seemed as if at that time there was a tussle between two groups, two views, regarding this particular book and this message. The Poem of the Man God was reportedly placed on the Index but then removed. The Italian Catholic Bishops Conference has approved this book for Catholics. They found nothing in it contrary to the faith.

A lay spokesman for Medugorje, whom I contacted via e-mail, now denies that Our Lady recommended The Poem, of the Man God  to Marija. So a decision was made by the Franciscans? They have ‘cancelled’ that message?

The Poem of the Man God affirms the teaching of Vatican Council II and the dogma Cantate Domino. So was Marija’s message cancelled to appear ‘in conformity with the teachings of the Church’ as understood by Catholic liberals and the secular media?

Venerable Pope Pius XII refers to ‘the dogma’, the ‘infallible teaching’ (Letter of the Holy Office 1949). No where in this Letter is it said that Fr. Leonard Feeney of Boston was excommunicated for heresy as the secular media allege. He was excommunicated for disobedience. The excommunication was lifted without him having to recant his teaching on extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Also how could he be excommunicated for saying everyone needs to be a visible member of the Catholic Church for salvation  when this is exactly what the text of the dogma states. The popes and saints also said that everyone needed to be a formal, visible member of the Church.

How can non Catholics saved with the baptism of desire  or in invincible ignorance be an exception to the dogma, as liberal Catholics allege? We do not know any case of someone saved implicitly with the baptism of desire etc.

So was Vicka’s message for the Franciscans and others, a politically correct one?

PRIEST SAYS WE DO NOT KNOW ANY CASE OF THE BAPTISM OF DESIRE AND VATICAN COUNCIL II DOES NOT CONTRADICT THE DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS

Carmelite  in Rome will not comment on St. Teresa of Avila proclaiming all Lutherans are going to Hell which is also indicated by Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentes 14).

At the Church of Santa Maria di Vittoria, Rome is the famous statue of St. Teresa of Avila kneeling in ecstasy with an angel piercing her heart with an arrow. The Carmelite Spanish mystic describes this experience in one of her books. Declared a Doctor of the Church she believed all Protestants, specifying Lutherans, were heretics and on the way to Hell. She believed deep down in their heart, heretics knew they were wrong but continued in their heresy, in their rebellion from the one, true Church of Jesus Christ.

Opposite the extraordinary statue in white marble is the entrance to the extended sacristy and corridor which I entered on August 19, 2011. There was a Carmelite priest who was sitting behind a table answering questions for tourists. Religious books, postcards and relics  were on display there.

“Could I ask you a question? A religious one?” I asked him in Italian. Yes. He nodded. On my left were postcards of the statue. There were also new books written on the saint and her teachings.

“There is the baptism of desire which a non Catholic can receive. This baptism of desire in known only to God. We do not know any particular case”, I asked.

“No, we do not know any such case” replied the elderly priest. I think he said his name was Fr. Pancrazio.

“Neither do we know of any case of a person saved in invincible ignorance” I said aloud.

“Yes we do not know any such case it is only known to God”

It was a hot day in Rome, he had to answer the phone and the good priest had two television security consoles before him. It could have been tiring for him with so many tourists. In the evening he offers Mass.

“So there is nothing in Vatican Council which contradicts the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus?” I asked.

He paused.

“The dogma says everyone must be a member of the Catholic Church for salvation. Everyone needs to explicitly enter the Church." I continued.

“It does not contradict the dogma” he agreed. He asked me if I was a Catholic.

“So Vatican Council II supports St.Teresa of Avila when she said we must pray for Lutherans since they were going to Hell.?”

Pause. Yes we must  pray for them, he answered.

“Do you believe they are all going to Hell”?

Pause. No answer.

The dogma says all ‘heretics’ need to convert into he Church to avoid Hell, repeated.

Non  Catholics he  replied could be saved with a good conscience; those who follow their conscience.

We agreed that we do not know any such case, I reminded him.

So it does not contradict Vatican Council I (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentes 14). All need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation. The baptism of water is given to adults with Catholic Faith. Lutherans do not have Catholic Faith.

He had nothing more to say on this subject.

JESUIT CHURCHES IN ROME COULD BE NEAR THE SEASIDE

Jesuits churches in Rome could be near the seaside. Tattooed people in shorts and clothes-scant are seen strolling near the tomb of St. Ignatius of Loyola at the Chiesa del Gesu and St. Robert Bellarmine at the Chiesa di Sant Ignazio di Loyola.

They seem like people who had the true faith and have lost it and so are lost if they die immediately (Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II).Others from Communist countries , un baptized pagans, do not have the ordinary means of salvation; Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (AG 7,LG 14).

They commit mortal sins in this state which is expressed in the way they dress. Some of them during Mass could casually walk up and receive the Eucharist. The priest will see them dressed vulgar. He will give them the Eucharist.

It’s a grave sin for the priest since he is knowingly cooperating with an evil and committing a sacrilege.

ITALIAN PRIEST SAYS IMMODESTY IS A SIN BUT WILL CONTINUE GIVING THE EUCHARIST TO THOSE DRESSED IMMODESTLY

IMMODESTY IN ROMES CHURCHES
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.com/2011/08/immodesty-in-romes-churches.html

FOR NATIVES, PAGANS THE ORDINARY WAY OF SALVATION IS CATHOLIC FAITH AND THE BAPTISM OF WATER ( VATICAN COUNCIL II, LG 14,AG 7)

I was talking to a Canadian novice with the Missionaries of Charity Fathers in Rome, some months back, who is studying theology at the Angelicum University, Rome. He asked if the Native Americans before the missionaries arrived there were they lost. Were they in invincible ignorance? Were they all lost forever to Hell?

Yes, in general they were all oriented to Hell since Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary means of salvation (Vatican Council II, AG 7, and LG 14).

If there was anyone among them who led a virtuous life following his good conscience, God could save him by sending a preacher or sending someone to baptize him with water (St. Thomas Aquinas). In ‘certain circumstances’ (Letter of the Holy Office 1949) a non Catholic can be saved with the baptism of desire.

In general the American natives needed the baptism of water given to adults with Catholic Faith, for salvation, to avoid Hell. The Catholic Church does not teach that the ordinary way of salvation is invincible ignorance; ‘not knowing the Gospel through no fault of their own’, a good conscience or the baptism of desire.

Those natives who were born before the birth of Jesus and who were saved had to wait in Abraham’s bosom and only after the death and Resurrection of Jesus could go to Heaven as could the Jewish Prophets including Abraham.

Today millions of people who believe in Jesus and live the Gospel within the Catholic Church and who do not die with mortal sin on their soul are taken to heaven. Some directly others via Purgatory.

Jesus has said that the road to Heaven is narrow and few people take it. We should enter through the narrow gate. While the road to Hell is wide and most people take it. Catholic saints have said that most people on earth go to Hell.
-Lionel Andrades

JESUIT RECTOR CONSIDERS BEING SAVED IN INVINCIBLE IGNORANCE AS THE ORDINARY MEANS OF SALVATION

The Jesuit Rector at the Chiesa del Gesu Fr.Massimo Morelli yesterday indicated that in reality being saved in invincible ignorance is the ordinary means of salvation. So pagans in Goa, before the arrival of St. Francis of Assisi were in general going to Heaven except for those few who committed crimes.

He is aware that the Catholic Church teaches that Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way of salvation (AG 7, LG 14).

So in reality Lumen Gentium 15 and 16 is the ordinary way of salvation for him.

This new teaching common among Catholics was expressed by Cardinal Walter Kaspar on a front page article in the L’Osservatore Romano. It was approved by Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone. The Chief Rabbi of Israel read it. The reported threat of war with the Vatican ended. So if the Vice Rector of the Chiesa del Gesu had said in reality, in fact, that Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way of salvation and the Jewish community opposite the Church are oriented to Hell, he could be suspended? So he protects himself, his superior and others? He changes the teaching of the Church and expediently gives up an ex cathedra dogma, extra ecclesiam nulla salus. His superiors do not consider it a mortal sin, allow him to offer Mass and continue in his life style. While they protect their own way of living.

The secular media criticizes St. Robert Bellarmine and St. Francis Xavier, even the Dalai Lama has expressed his dislike for St. Francis Xavier. The Jesuits, for instance, those at the Gregorian University, Rome, would support the secular media’s view, appear liberal while all the time protecting their jobs, earnings and life style.

I met Fr.Massimo Morelli today and asked him if he received my e mail with yesterday’s blog post. He said no. I was expecting  some feedback.

ITALIAN PRIEST SAYS IMMODESTY IS A SIN BUT WILL CONTINUE GIVING THE EUCHARIST TO THOSE DRESSED IMMODESTLY

Fr. Fernando the priest who celebrated Holy Mass in Italian at the Church Santi Protomartiri Romani , Via Aurelia, Rome said immodesty in clothes was a sin.

When I asked if he  would give the Eucharist to Catholics dressed immodestly, he gestured that he was helpless.

I was speaking with him in the sacristy.

The next few days he continued giving the Eucharist to Catholics immodestly dressed. I asked him if it was not a sin for a priest to give the Eucharist to persons immodestly dressed. He did not answer.

-Lionel Andrades

IMMODESTY IN ROMES CHURCHES
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.com/2011/08/immodesty-in-romes-churches.html

Non Catholics in Goa were in invincible ignorance before St.Francis Xavier arrived so were already on the way to be saved- Fr.Massimo Morelli S.J, Vice Rector, Chiesa del Gesu, Rome.

Rev. Fr. Massimo Morelli S.J Vice Rector, Chiesa del Gesu, Rome said today morning that we do not know of any case of a non Catholic saved with a good conscience, in invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire.

All people with no exception need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation (Ad Gentes 7), he said, which is "the ordinary way of salvation".

Those who know about Jesus and the Church and yet do not enter are on the way to Hell (AG 7) while those who have not had the Gospel preached to them through no fault of their own can be saved. In both cases he said it is only God who can judge.

There is no contradiction in Vatican Council II when Ad Gentes 7 states faith and baptism are necessary for salvation for all and also mentions that there are exceptions, cases of implicit salvation known to only God observed Fr.Massimo.

Neither does Vatican Council II contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus he said as it was interpreted by St. Francis Xavier and the Jesuits of that time.

I was speaking with this Italian priest at the Chiesa del Gesu for about 20 minutes. I reminded him that the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus indicates all Protestants are on the way to Hell. Ad Gentes 7 has the same message, in what Fr. Massimo calls ‘the ordinary way of salvation’.

Protestants have the baptism of water but do not have Catholic Faith (AG 7, LG 14). He agreed they did not have the Sacraments which were the means of salvation. However he was not willing to say that all Protestants on earth, de facto, need to enter the Church for salvation.

Earlier he agreed that we do not know a single case of implicit salvation i.e. those saved with a good conscience, having a good moral life according to the Gospel etc.

St. Francis Xavier, St. Robert Bellarmine and the other Jesuits would agree with Fr. Massimo that the Catholic Church is the ordinary way of salvation for all. However they would proclaim that all Buddhists, Hindus, Jews and Muslims need to formally and visibly enter the Church for salvation; to avoid Hell. The Vice Rector of the Church in which lies the body of St. Ignatius Loyola will not make this proclamation.

So Fr. Massimo could mean in principle (de jure) we agree that Vatican Council II does not contradict the ex cathedra dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence and in principle we agree we do not know any case of a non Catholic saved implicitly. However de facto (in reality) we can know cases of non Catholics saved implicitly (with a good conscience, invincible ignorance etc) so Vatican Council II (LG 16) does in fact, in reality contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and St. Francis Xavier.

He also believes that all the non Catholics in Goa, India, the Portuguese colony where St. Francis Xavier evangelized, were in invincible ignorance. Fr. Massimo assumes all the people in Goa were in invincible ignorance even though he said today we do not know of any case of a person saved in invincible ignorance.

So for him all those non Catholics in Goa, except for those who committed crime and did evil, were saved before the arrival of the Jesuits. In reality, for Fr. Massimo Morelli S.J, all religions and paganism are de facto equal paths to salvation while in principle, in theory, Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way of salvation.

They were in invincible ignorance in Goa i.e in general, they had not had the Gospel preached to them. Invincible ignorance in general is the ordinary way of salvation for Fr. Massimo. Also it is in some way explicitly known that they were all in invincible ignorance in Goa.

Invincible ignorance and implicit salvation is not the ordinary way of salvation according to the Catholic Church. Neither is invincible ignorance explicitly known to us in particular cases.

This contradicts Cantate Domino, Vatican Council I (AG 7, LG 14) and Dominus Iesus 20.This is the proclamation of the Jesuits today!
In his homily at the 12 p.m Mass yesterday Fr.Massimo said that salvation is open to all people  but did not mention that to receive this salvation all people need to enter the Catholic Church. (Dominus Iesus 20).

IMMODESTY IN ROMES CHURCHES

The Bible says immodesty can prevent you from going to Heaven. The Catechism of that Catholic Church says immodesty is a sin. It causes scandal a  grave sin and encourages lust in the onlooker which is a mortal sin. We have a responsibility to protect others and not be a cause of their sin. All it takes is one mortal sin for a soul to go to Hell according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The outward action, the way we dress, indicates the inner intention. (Veritatis Splendor, Pope John Paul II). It’s God who decides who is the exception. In general immodesty in clothes leads to Hell. It’s the cause of the spiritual death of many. It’s the eternal death of the person who dresses scantily and the onlooker led to wilful lust.

It’s a sin for a priest or Eucharistic Minister to give a Catholic the Eucharist who is dressed vulgar and could be the source of sin in others. A priest may not know when a person is in mortal sin but with immodesty, he can see that sin before his eyes.

LUMEN GENTIUM 14, VATICAN COUNCIL II IS AT HOME WITH ST. ROBERT BELLARMINE, POPE JOHN PAUL II AND THE JESUITS SAINTS LIKE ST.FRANCIS XAVIER

Lumen Gentium 14 says all need to enter the Catholic Church to avoid Hell similar to St. Robert Bellarmine, Pope John Paul II (Dominus Iesus 20, CCC 845,846, Ecclesia di Eucaristia) and the Jesuit saints like St. Francis Xavier.

Today morning I was sitting before the altar of St. Robert Bellarmine where his body lies draped in red vestments. I was thinking of how Vatican Council II (Lumen Gentium 14, Ad Gentes 7) affirms the strict interpretation of the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. LG 14 is not contradicted by Lumen Gentium 15 and 16 as some Catholics believe. We do not know any case in particular of implicit salvation (LG 15 and 16). It is known only to God and so does not contradict LG 14 which indicates that every one on earth needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation. Every one needs to be a formal, explicit, visible member of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell.

Since implicit salvation (good conscience, invincible ignorance, baptism of  desire etc) is not the ordinary way of salvation, it is not in conflict with LG 14.

LG 14 is in accord with the teachings of St. Robert Bellarmine, the Church Councils, and popes and the other Jesuits saints like Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier, on the subject of the dogma outside the church there is no salvation.

Here is Lumen Gentium 14.

This Sacred Council wishes to turn its attention firstly to the Catholic faithful. Basing itself upon Sacred Scripture and Tradition, it teaches that the Church, now sojourning on earth as an exile, is necessary for salvation. Christ, present to us in His Body, which is the Church, is the one Mediator and the unique way of salvation. In explicit terms He Himself affirmed the necessity of faith and baptism and thereby affirmed also the necessity of the Church, for through baptism as through a door men enter the Church.-Lumen Gentium 14 (Emphasis added)
LG 14  says that the Church is needed for salvation. Salvation means to go to Heaven and to avoid  Hell. The Church is needed to avoid Hell. This is the St. Robert Bellarmine teaching based on the Bible and Sacred Tradition which liberals hate.

Then Lumen Gentium 14 also says all need ‘faith and baptism’ to enter the Church ‘as through a door’. This is Jesus’ explicit teaching.

We Catholics can only administer the baptism of water to adults with Catholic Faith. We cannot administer the baptism of desire or blood which is a grace from God. We also do not know anyone in particular who has been saved with the baptism of desire or blood or a good conscience in the general population today. If the Church declares someone a saint or martyr we accept it. However in general we do not know any person  saved in this category. So  there may not even be a single such case in the present times.

However in principle we accept the possibility of implicit salvation i.e. those saved with the baptism of desire etc. De facto we know every one with no exception needs Catholic Faith and the baptism of water to avoid Hell (LG 14).

LG 14 is affirming the traditional teaching that Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way of salvation for all people, in general, to avoid Hell.

Order of St. Camillus priest says non Catholics do not have to convert into the Catholic Church they only have to follow their conscience

Lumen Gentium 15 would contradict Lumen Gentium 14 only of we consider explicit salvation as explicilty known or the ordinary way of salvation. LG 14 indicates Catholic Faith and the baptism of water is the ordinary way to avoid Hell.

Fr. Efesio, of the Order of St.Camillus  who celebrated Holy Mass in Italian yesterday Sunday evening at 7 p.m at the Church of St. Mary Magadalene in Rome, had given the homily on the Gospel Reading. He spoke about the importance of the Church. This is a controversial subject. Ecclesiology is  the source of disunity with new theories being taught at Pontifical Universities in Rome.

When I spoke with him in the sacristy after Mass he agreed that Lumen Gentium 14 Vatican Council II did not contradict Lumen Gentium 15 and 16. We did not know any case of implicit salvation, baptism of desire, invincible ignorance, good conscience etc.So everyone needed to enter the Church with faith and baptism(LG 14).

Vatican Council II does not contradict the dogma extra eccleisam nulla salus he said nor the teaching on this subject by St. Camillus

de Lellis, the founder of their community whose body is venerated in that Church.

I explained that the dogma indicated everyone needed to be an explicit member of the Church and this was the teaching for centuries held by popes and saints including St .Camillius.

Fr. Efesio then changed his position and said that the saints and popes in the past only accentuated one aspect of the teaching though the teaching had not changed. This was confusion.

He said now we believe that salvation depends on each person’s conscience and a person does not necessarily have to convert.

This Italian priest had in his homily spoken vaguely on the importance of the Church and that the Church would exist for all time but he  never said every one needed to enter the Church formally and visibly to avoid Hell.

Now he was negating Ad Gentes 7 and Lumen Gentes 14 on the necessity  of Faith and the baptim of water for salvation for all.

The Bible says go out and proclaim the Good News, ‘he who believes will be saved who does not will be condemned.’ The Bible says those who do not believe will be condemned . This priest is saying that non Catholics can know the Good News but their salvation depends on their individual conscience and he implies that in general they will go to Heaven. While earlier he said that we did not know any case of implicit salvation and did not know who had a good conscience.

He also assumes that people in general will be saved with a good conscience while the dogma Cantate Domimo Council of Florence indicates millions of non Catholic and non Christians are on the path to the fires of Hell.

A few months back I was reading a biography of St.Camilus ( Lo Spirito di S. Camillo de Lellis by Mario Vani ) The saint would tell Christians that they need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid the fires of Hell and we should be very conscious of the smallest sin. He encouraged modesty in clothes and believed immodesty was a grave sin.

Fr.Efesio gave the Eucharist at Mass yesterday to a young lady in a tank top dress.

This priest seems to be rebelling against Church teaching on faith and morals. The Order of St.Camillus offer Mass in this condition and believe it is not a sinn ?

If immodesty and denying the faith (dogma) is not a mortal sin then why go for Confession ? Any other sin can be rewritten or changed!

The Church has always taught that grave sin leads to Hell. Hell is ‘where the worm dieth not and the fire is never extingusihed’. i.e we have a spiritual body like the one we have on earth which never decays and we live at furnace temperature.

Masturbation, fornication, adultery, immodesty, scandal, heresy, apostasy have always been mortal sins. So is the sacrilege of the Eucharist.

To knowingly deny an ex cathedra dogma is a mortal sin.

The Church recognizes that in many ways she is linked with those who, being baptized, are honored with the name of Christian, though they do not profess the faith in its entirety or do not preserve unity of communion with the successor of Peter.  For there are many who honor Sacred Scripture, taking it as a norm of belief and a pattern of life, and who show a sincere zeal. They lovingly believe in God the Father Almighty and in Christ, the Son of God and Saviour. They are consecrated by baptism, in which they are united with Christ. They also recognize and accept other sacraments within their own Churches or ecclesiastical communities. Many of them rejoice in the episcopate, celebrate the Holy Eucharist and cultivate devotion toward the Virgin Mother of God. They also share with us in prayer and other spiritual benefits. Likewise we can say that in some real way they are joined with us in the Holy Spirit, for to them too He gives His gifts and graces whereby He is operative among them with His sanctifying power.-Lumen Gentium 15

Finally, those who have not yet received the Gospel are related in various ways to the people of God.-Lumen Gentium 16

Franciscan Conventuals and Militia Immaculata need to show how Vatican Council II supports St. Maximillian Kolbe on the ‘strict interpretation’ of extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

St.Maximillian Kolbe believed everybody needed to be a visible member of the Church to avoid Hell.

St. Maximilian Kolbe evangelised with the strict interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus and not the Wikipedia, Catholic Answers, USCCB, leftist-version.The 70th anniversary of his death will be observed tomorrow (August 14, 2011).

Kolbe believed everyone needed to be a visible member of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell. He celebrated his First Mass, after his ordination on April 28, 1918, at the altar of the Miracle in the Church of Sant Andrea della Fratte, Rome. It was here that the Jewish financier Alphonse Ratisbonne was shown in a flash the beauty and importance of the Catholic Church for the salvation of all, when Our Lady appeared to him. He became a Catholic priest and a missionary.

The Militia Immaculata and the Cities of Mary did not teach new doctrines. Kolbe never said like Wikipedia that everyone does not have to be a visible member of the Catholic Church since it is possible someone known on earth could die a martyr or with the baptism of desire –implying you could bump into him on the street and so this is an exception to the dogma. Catholics do not laugh at this but believe it is true. They accept this non-Kolbian doctrine without thinking or reflecting.

If they saw through the foolishness in the Wikipedia entry on ‘extra ecclesiam nulla salus’, ‘Fr. Leonard Feeney’ and Feenyism’, parishes would once again be missionary wherever they are. The Militia Immaculata, Franciscan Conventuals and the Niepokalanov (Cities of Mary) could become once again what they were at the time of St. Maximillian Kolbe. Missionary!

The Franciscan Conventuals and the Militia Immaculata need to show how Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7) supports St. Maximillian Kolbe on the ‘strict interpretation’ of extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Lumen Gentium 16, on invincible ignorance does not contradict Kolbe since we do not know any particular case of a non Catholic saved implicitly.

The ex cathedra dogma (Fourth Lateran Council, Bull Unam Sanctam and Cantate Domino) say all non Catholics with no exception need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation. Kolbe publications today say something else.

The texts of Magisterial documents, including Pope John Paul II’s Catechism of the Catholic Church and Dominus Iesus, affirm the 'rigorist interpretation' of the dogma outside the church there is no salvation, just as St. Maximilian Kolbe, in the newspaper he edited.

The Catechism n.846 says everyone needs to enter the Church ‘as through a door’. It is a quotation from Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II. Ad Gentes 7 also says all need Catholic Faith and baptism. Dominus Iesus 20 says Jesus died for all and to receive this salvation all need to enter the Church.Outside the Church there is no salvation.

Wikipedia says all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church implying everyone does not have to become a formal member of the Church. Yet we know that the teaching those who are saved explicitly (Catholic Faith and the baptism of water) or implicitly (baptism of desire, invincible ignorance etc) does not contradict the dogmatic teaching that everyone with no exceptions, need to be a visible member of the Church to avoid Hell.

The Freemasons, for whom Kolbe asked us to pray, say otherwise.

This was the original prayer I had learnt, which Kolbe taught. The words could be different now. The latter part of the prayer of course has been changed:

‘Our Lady conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee, and for all sinners, especially Freemasons.’

REAL CATHOLIC TV RESPONDS

RealCatholicTV has sent me the link of Dr. Brenner’s talk on salvation. They have responded to the posts addressed to them. They still seem unable to do a program on the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

They could begin by pointing out that the two objective errors on Wikipedia.

Wikipedia implies that Lumen Gentium 16 (invincible ignorance) is an exception to the dogma and so this is the teaching today of the Catholic Church.

1. According to Wikipedia, the Catholic Church  does not teach anymore that everyone needs to be a visible member of the Church for salvation and

2. all  those who are saved are saved today through Jesus and the Church, implying those saved implicitly are known to us and so they contradict the dogma. The dogma indicates everyone with no exception needs to be an explicit, formal member of the Church.

Of course we believe all those who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church. We also believe that everyone needs to be a visible member of the Church of salvation. There is no contradiction between the two statements. Wikipedia implies there is a contradiction.

3. There is no mention of the text of the dogma Cantate Domino Council of Florence. Cantate Domino for centuries said everyone needs to be a visible member of the Church for salvation.

Real Catholic TV could do a program on this subject.

1. It could show the text of Cantate Domino and how it was interpreted over the centuries.

2. It could show how Vatican Council II does not contradict the dogma since we do not know any particular case saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience, partial communion with the church etc.Implicit salvation is only known to God.

3. It can show how Wikipedia’s claim that everyone does not have to be a member of the Church for salvation is wrong. It is an interpretation. A new doctrine.

Please remember that Pope Pius XII in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 to the Archbishop of Boston supported Fr. Leonard Feeney when he referred to ‘the dogma’, the ‘infallible’ statement. The dogma Cantate Domino indicates every non Catholic in Boston needs to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell. This is the same message as that of Fr. Leonard Feeney.

Fr. Leonard Feeney from Boston also said that there is no baptism of desire that we can know of. So the baptism of desire does not contradict the dogma.

Neither are we likely to meet a person in Boston saved with the baptism of blood (martyrdom). This is irrational but this is what Wikipedia implies and it is accepted by Catholics.

These are objective factual errors of Wikipedia. They need to be pointed out.

There are so many religious Congregations in Rome, ask some of them what did the founders of their Congregation believe in – the ‘strict interpretation’ of extra ecclesiam nulla salus or the Wikipidia version?

Since Wikipedia considers implicit baptism of desire etc as explicitly known in particular cases it would mean Vatican Council II and the popes contradict themselves. Lumen Gentium 14 (all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation) is contradicted by Lumen Gentium 15 and 16 (implicit salvation explcitly known to us).Pope Pius XII in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 affirms ‘the dogma’ (‘strict interpretation’) and also denies it with an ‘explicit’ baptism of desire. It would mean he affirms Cantate Domino and also denies it with an explicitly known baptism of desire. It would mean Pope John Paul II in the Catechism of the Catholic Church N.1257 says every one needs explicit baptism of water for salvation but some people do not ‘explicitly’ need the Sacraments.

It would be rational to say every body needs the baptism of water for salvation and there could be those saved implicitly and who are known only to God.

This irrationality is a major cause of dissent and confusion in the Church. http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.com/2011/08/see-difference.html
