ROME (LifeSiteNews) –– On the eve of the Synod on Synodality, Cardinal Raymond Burke noted the Synod is built on arguments that “depart strikingly and gravely” from the Catholic faith, and he also responded to criticisms of his recent dubia.
Lionel : Cardinal Raymond Burke and Walter Brandmuller have issue another dubbia without addressing the issue of Vatican Council II rational and irrational.
Cardinals Grech and Hollerich have said that the Synods are based upon Vatican Council II. They mean the Council interpreted irrationally.
Yet this is also the interpretation of Vatican Council II, by the cardinals of the dubbia. They are part of the problem.
If they interpret Vatican Council II rationally then they would be affirming the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and would be labelled Anti Semitic etc. So they are prudent and do not bring up the issue of Vatican Council II and its link to the Synods.Pope Francis takes advantage of their fears.
Pope Francis continues to say that the Synods are based upon Vatican Council II, irrational and not rational. No one is contesting this among the dubbia- cardinals. Even when they issued their dubbia some years back, Brandmuller and Burke, did not bring up the issue of Vatican Council II, rational.It is possible that they could be excommunicated or laicized for political-left reasons. The Vatican would support the Jewish Left who are working for a new religions, in which all the religions will be equal and there will no be any reference to sin and Hell.Even the Bible will be edited.
In Vatican Council II, rational, the dogma EENS is supported by Ad Gentes 7 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation. It says all. It also does not say that all need only baptism for salvation.This is part of the new ecumenism based upon Vatican Council II, irrational. With Vatican Council II, rational, hypothetical and invisible cases of LG 8, LG 14, LG 15, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc, are not objective exceptions for the dogma EENS. They also do not contradict Ad Gentes 7.All need faith and baptism for salvation. So Vatican Council II is not a break with Tradition and Pope Francis can no more cite the Council interpreted irrationally, to support innovation in faith, morals, evangelisation and mission, ecumenism and inter-religious dialogue.
“The Holy Spirit is very often invoked in the perspective of the synod … but there is not a single word about the obedience due to the inspirations of the Holy Spirit that are always consistent with the truth of the perennial doctrine and the goodness of the perennial discipline that He has inspired throughout the centuries,” Burke said at an event organized by La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana and entitled “The Synodal Babel.” (A transcript of the cardinal’s speech can be found here.)
Lionel : How can the Holy Spirit ask the Church to interpret Vatican Council II irrationally ? Yet Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and the SSPX bishops have interpreted Vatican Council II with LG 8, LG 14, LG 16, UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc referring to visible and practical examples of salvation outside the Church in the present times, and so objective exceptions for the dogma EENS, which is obsolete for the liberals and traditionalists.The SSPX priests in Rome will not comment on this issue. So they will allow the Synod to go ahead based upon the irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II, and they are secure in their religious career. There is no tension.- Lionel Andrades
