THE CATHOLIC CHURCH SAYS THAT THE NON CATHOLIC IS GOING TO HELL

The Catholic Church says that the non Catholic is going to Hell.lt says this in its Magisterial texts before and after Vatican Council II.The non Catholic and non Christian need to convert into the one, true church in which God wants all humanity to be united (CCC 845).

In a discussion with a non Catholic, I am asked : 'so are you telling me that I am going to Hell'? at which I reply No for it is not within my power or abilities to judge you. What I am saving is that the only known way for salvation is to be a member of the Catholic Church, being properly baptized and die free from mortal sin.

Lionel:

Yes he is going to Hell since the Church says so and not because you and I can judge him personally.

The Church says so in Vatican Council II.
It says all need faith and baptism for salvation and this non Catholic does not have it.
It says so in the Catechsim of the Catholic Chruch 846 that all need to enter the Church as through a door and cites AG 7.

It says so in CCC 845. God wants all people to be united in the Catholic Church for salvation and the Church is the only Ark of Noah that saved in the flood.

It says so in three defined dogmas including Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441.

This message is repeated in the Syllabus of Errors, Mystici Corporis, Redemptoris Missio, Dominius Iesus 20, the CDF,Notification on Fr.Jacques Dupuis etc.

It is also repeated in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 when it is realized that the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance, mentioned in the Letter, does not contradict the literal interpretation of Fr.Leonard Feeney.

Answer to two simple questions show Cushing to be in heresy and not Feeney

Ask two simple questions and see where they lead. These are common sense rational questions and not theology.
The two questions are:-

1) Do we personally know the dead now saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience (LG 16) etc,can we see them, are they physically visible to us in 2013 ? Answer: NO

2) Since we do not know any of these cases, there are no known exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ? Answer: THERE ARE NONE.

Common sense tells us that there are no known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam defined by three Church Councils and which Pope Pius XII called an 'infallible statement'.
Now apply this knowledge to magisterial texts. Here is one for example.
DOMINUS IESUS
Above all else, it must be firmly believed that “the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mk 16:16; Jn 3:5), and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through baptism as through a door”.77 This doctrine must not be set against the universal salvific will of God (cf. 1 Tim 2:4); “it is necessary to keep these two truths together, namely, the real possibility of salvation in Christ for all mankind and the necessity of the Church for this salvation”.

The Church is the “universal sacrament of salvation”,79 since, united always in a mysterious way to the Saviour Jesus Christ, her Head, and subordinated to him, she has, in God's plan, an indispensable relationship with the salvation of every human being.80 For those who are not formally and visibly members of the Church, “salvation in Christ is accessible by virtue of a grace which, while having a mysterious relationship to the Church, does not make them formally part of the Church, but enlightens them in a way which is accommodated to their spiritual and material situation... -Dominus Iesus 20

The passage in orange is not an exception to the passage in yellow.
To assume that the passage in orange is an exception to the passage in yellow is irrationality. It is also saying that there are known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This is heresy.
Cushingism states all do not need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation in the present times and there are known exceptions. Cushingism indicates that the passage in orange is an exception to the passage in yellow. This was the public position of the Archbishop of Boston Cardinal Richard Cushing and the Jesuits there who sought the excommunication of Fr.Leonard  Feeney.

It was Cardinal Richard Cushing who was irrational and in heresy and not Fr.Leonard Feeney.

Catholic magisterial documents can be interpreted according to Feeneyism or Cushingism
In a prepared statement for the press the former Jesuit(Fr.Leonard Feeney) added: "The conscience difficulty is that the diocese of Boston, under the auspices of Archbishop Cushing, and Boston College, under the auspices of Father John J. McEloney, S.J., both notably ignorant in the field of Catholic theology ... are teaching that there is salvation outside the Catholic Church." - Father Feeney Is Dismissed From Jesuit Order by Rome (The Harvard Crimson October 29,1949) (Emphasis added)

Department of Theology at Opus Dei University Rome refuse to answer two questions

The day before yesterday I went to the office of Mons.Rodriguez Luno, on the fourth floor of the University of the Holy Cross, the Opus Dei University in Rome. I asked for an appointment with Mons.Luno.I was told he is the head of the department.
I was given his e-mail and telephone number and told to contact him. So I e-mailed him yesterday (1).

He has been prompt in replying (2).However he will not answer the two questions even though it is related to his Department and the theology departments in general.

He responds:
I am writing to inform you that I do not want to make a statement on those issues.
 Cordially.
 Angel Rodríguez L

At this Opus Dei University in Rome  they presently teach that there are known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. In other words, they can see the dead who are saved in invincible ignorance etc who are visible exceptions to every one needing to convert into the Church for salvation.
Students have to approve this irrationality in class to get their degree. They are also issuing Licentiate and Doctorate degrees to students who maintain this absurdity and change the traditional teaching on salvation and mission. They are also offering a Masters degree for Seminary formators.

Mons.Luno is not responding on a subject he gets paid to teach and which is part of the Catholic Faith.

Dear Monsgr.Rodriguez Luno   ,
Praised be Jesus and Our Lady.
I yesterday came to your office hoping to arrange a short meeting with you and to ask you a few questions on Church doctrine and permission to place your answers on my blog Eucharist and Mission.
The questions are doctrinal and related to the dogmas of the Catholic Church and to Vatican Council II.
Here are the two questions I wanted to ask you.

1) Do we personally know the dead now saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience (LG 16) etc,can we see them, are they physically visible to us in 2013 ?

2) Since we do not know any of these cases, there are no known exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ?
I would welcome your answers and a chance to meet you at your convenience whenever you would indicate to me it is possible.
I am a Catholic, a lay man living in Rome and my interest is Church Mission and evangelization -with the correct Church doctrine.
In Christ
Mr.Lionel Andrades,

We can see the secularization enter the Catholic Church with the common irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II and the attack on the Traditional Latin Mass.-Lionel Andrades

Traditional Latin Mass, the Tridentine Rite Mass still upholds Vatican Council II interpreted rationally

The questionnaire for the Franciscans of the Immaculate (1) approved by Cardinal Joao Vraz de Aviz ,the Pefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (the Congregation for Religious), asks in one of the Particular Questions:

Do you think that the introduction of the Traditional Mass in the Institute is requested by Vatican Council II ?

The answer to this question should be a clear YES!

It should be stated that there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II (Cushingism or Feeneyism), one as a break with Tradition and the other supporting Tradition. One with the hermeneutic of continuity and the other with a hermeneutic of rupture. There can be an interpretation with the false premise or without the false premise. There can be only one rational interpretation.

When Vatican Council II is interpreted according to Feeneyism, supporting Tradition, with the hermeneutic of continuity and  without the false premise then it is rational. It does not lead to fantasy theology.
It is the Traditional Latin Mass which still holds traditional ecclesiology which is that of Vatican Council II interpreted rationally.

The ecclesiology of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life and Cardinal Joao Vraz de Aviz and the priests who offer the  Novus Ordo Mass depend on a Vatican Council II interpreted irrationally.Their interpretation is according to Cushingism, it is a break with Tradition, in particular the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the Syllabus of Errors. It has the hermeneutic of rupture since it uses the false premise of being able to see the dead saved in invincible ignorance etc. This was the same error made by the Archbishop of Boston, Cardinal Richard Cushing.

The hermeneutic of rupture or continuity does not depend on either Mass, but on the interpretation of Vatican Council II according to Feeneyism or Cushingism, with the false premise of without it.This error of interpretation emerged in the 1940's in Boston. So the Traditional Latin Mass has not been touched by it.

The Traditional Latin Mass, the Tridentine Rite Mass still upholds Vatican Council II interpreted rationally.

Cardinal Joao Vraz de Aviz's version of Vatican Council II needs to be rejected. It's irrational. It's weird. It's based on a visible dead man walking theory. It contradicts the traditional ecclesiology of the Church, which is in agreement with a rational interpretation of Vatican Council II.This is a Vatican Council II in which dejure(in principle) cases of salvation are not considered  to be defacto(explicit). They are not visible to us on earth in the present times.

Vatican Council II has not said that the traditional Latin Mass should be discarded or that we should accept the Novus Ordo Mass in its present form.

However the Traditional Latin Mass like the Byzantine Greek Mass, carries with it an ecclesiology  and spirituality supported by Vatican Council II, which can have only one rational interpretation.

The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate spokesman's clarification on this issue would be helpful for many.
Questions for him:
1.Does the spokesman for the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate and the FFI Curia, accept that there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II, one rational and the other irrational?
2.Does the use /or omission, of a false premise (dead-saved are physically visible to us on earth) result in a hermeneutic of rupture or continuity?

Fr.Leonard Feeney's communities and Cushingism

The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the communities of Fr.Leonard Feeney in the USA, reject Cushingism when they say there are no known (and unknown) exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. However their concept of the baptism of desire per se is Cushingism.
They interpret Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church as a break, with the literal interpretation of the dogma on salvation. Since they are using Cushingism in their interpretation, perhaps unknowingly.

Also when they defend the dogma and deny there are known exceptions, they  use theology and not philosophy also. The baptism of desire must be followed by the baptism of water (theology). It is never said that there are no known cases of the baptism of desire, they are not visible to us (philosphy). They could also use a philosophical approach e.g subjectivity-objectivity, empiricism etc.

The communities cite the Church Fathers and Church Councils which is good however they could also point out that the error is due to the use of a  false premise in the interpretation of magisterial documents. They defend the dogma theologically when they could also  easily say we do not know anyone saved in invincible ignroance and the baptism of desire in the present  times. They are critical of those who support the baptism of desire , when they could clarify that implicit desire is always implicit and never explicit. When we personally cannot name any case saved with implicit desire, why go into different theologies and scenarios on a hypothetical subject known only to God?

Vatican Council II is criticized  on pro-St.Benedict Center Internet forums(Pascendi, EENS forum). This is a sign of Cushingism. They understand  salvation as being explicit and known to us. They are assuming that the baptism of desire is physically visible to us to be a potential exception to the dogma. They do not differentiate between implicit and explcit-for-us baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance, a good cosncience(LG 16), seeds of the Word(AG 11), elements of faith and sanctification (LG 8 ), good and holy things in other religions(NA) etc.

Opus Dei priest agrees all in 2013 need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation and there are no known exceptions

Opus Dei priest agrees all in 2013 need to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation and there are no known exceptions.
Pontificia Università della Santa Croce - Rome, Italy
An Opus Dei priest, at their university in Rome, today evening agreed that every one in 2013 needs to enter the Church  for salvation (to avoid Hell and go to Heaven) and there are no known exceptions.

Father Pedro Luis de Huidobro, the chaplain of the University of the Sacred Cross(Santa Croce), Rome agreed there could be persons who have not had the Gospel preached to them and who are in invincible ignorance. These persons can be saved and we do not know any such case in 2013.

I was speaking briefly with him at the university chapel and said I had two questions for him  and his answer would be posted on my blog Eucharist and Mission. I had put these two questions to Sister Patrizia FMM  at the Church of San Salvatore in Lauro nearby, who had recommended that I ask at the university.

There is the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ,I  mentioned to Fr.Pedro Luis de Huidobro(1) which says all need to convert into the Church for salvation. So there are no known exceptions to the dogma in 2013?

Vatican Council II (AG 7) agrees with the dogma, I said, when it states all need 'faith and baptism ' for salvation. So all need Catholic faith and the baptism of water in 2013 for salvation and there are no known exceptions.

Also the Catechism of the Catholic Church(846) on outside the Church there is no salvation states  all need to enter the church' as through a door'.It cites Ad Gentes 7.
 He agreed with me.

He said all need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation in the present times (2013) and there are no known exceptions.Invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are not exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and neither to Ad Gentes 7.

This is the literal and traditional interpretation of the thrice defined dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus  which Pope Pius XII called an 'infallible statement'. It  is not contradicted by any magisterial document including the much reported  Letter of the Holy Office 1949 of Pope Pius XII.

If Pope Pius XII assumed that the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance  were known exceptions to the dogma on salvation, he would have made a factual mistake. He would also be contradicting the text of the 'infallible statement', the Syllabus of Errors, Mystici Corporis, Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church besides other Church-documents.
The Letter of the Holy Office faults Fr.Leonard Feeney for discipline, He was excommunicated for disobedience and not heresy. The Church lifted the excommunication without him having to recant his literal and traditional  interpretation on exclusive salvation.

Fr.Leonard Feeney's communities using Cushingism?

There is a comment on an earlier post (1) on the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary following true doctrine. Yes they are when they interpret the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus without any exception of the baptism of desire etc.

However even though they reject the baptism of desire etc theologically, unless it is followed with the baptism of water, their concept of the baptism of desire is according to Cushingism. They assume that these cases are explicit for us.Oh no!!?

Similarly they assume that all salvation mentioned in Vatican Council II (LG 16 etc ) are also explicit and so contradict the literal interpretation of Fr.Leonard Feeney.

The following is a comment from the other blog post.

One can interpret Vatican Council II with Cushingism or Feeneyism. Which of the two do you think the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary are using ?

Cushingism emerges with the interpretation of the baptism of desire etc.
Do the communities of Fr.Leonard Feeney interpret the baptism of desire as being explicit for us or implicit for us ?

Similarly do they believe that being saved in invincible ignorance followed by the baptism of water is explicit for us or implicit for us?

Do they assume that LG 16 (invincible ignorance ) is an exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ?

You are either a Feeneyite or a Cushingite.

One has to be aware of the error of Cushingism when reading Vatican Council II

One has to be aware of the error of Cushingism when reading Vatican Council II.Even Traditionalists are making this mistake. They are interpreting the Council with a false premise. The  communities of Fr.Leonard Feeney like the Society of St.Pius X(SSPX) are making this error. Even the sedevacantist Most Holy Family Monastery on their website reject the baptism of desire but their concept of the baptism of desire is explicit. They reject it since they think it would contradict the dogma.

They cannot still conceive of implicit baptism of desire being in accord with the literal interpretation of the dogma on salvation by Fr.Leonard Feeney.

There are so many dead wood statements placed in Vatican Council II which imply we can see the dead now saved in Heaven ( or on earth!) or that we know who will be saved in invincible ignorance, seeds of the word imperfect communion with the Church, good and holy things in other religions etc.

Those who read the Council with the eyes Cardinal Richard Cushing and the Jesuits at Boston, must finally say that Vatican Council II ' is a mystery'. ' so many things don't make sense', 'it is not rational', 'its contradictory', 'how can something be, for example A, and at the same time not be A', Vatican Council II contradicts the Principle of Non Contradiction. It says yes and no at the same time.

If the Council is interpreted with Feeneyism i.e there are no exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus in Vatican Council II, then there is no mystery. The Council is not contradictory, it has the hermeneutic of continuity, it is rational and does not violate the Principle of Non Contradiction. It makes sense. It is traditional.

So when we read Vatican Council II we have to distinguish between in principle and de facto statements. Cushingism, assumes in principle statements, accepted as possibilities, are explicitly known and visible to us in the present times.

Those saved with the seeds of (AG 11) are a possibility, accepted in principle as being known to God. Cushingism assumes these cases are personally known and so are exceptions to all needing faith and baptisms for salvation (AG 11)

Ad Gentes 7 says all need to convert to Christ, Cushingism responds negatively. It says not all need to convert but only those who know Jesus Christ and the Church and who are not in invincible ignorance.

All need to enter the Church for salvation!- and only God will decide who knows and who does not know.Since only God can know!.These cases are accepted in principle as possibilities by us, Catholics, they are not known in reality. So Fr.Leonard Feeney was correct. There are no known exceptions. If there are no known exceptions for us then there are no unknown exceptions for us. If there are no known or unknown exceptions for us then there are no exceptions for us!Just possibilities.

In principle it is true only those who know and do not enter are on the way to Hell. In reality we cannot judge or know these cases.

This is the deadwood and confusion created by Cushingism which assumes the dead for us, who are now alive in Heaven and are saved, are visible to us ,; a known  reality and that we can judge and know these cases.

Traditionalists and liberals do not distinguish between Cushingism and Feeneyism when interpreting Vatican Council II. Even the communities of Fr.Leonard Feeney do not make this distinction and use the Cushing model.
So the Council comes across as a mystery, irrational and contradictory. The fault is not in the Council but in the irrational interpretation of the Council using Cushingism.

You are either a Feeneyite or a Cushingite.

If someone says  criticially "Your a Feeneyite" it would indicate that he or she is a Cushingite and is not aware of it. This has been my experience. One is either a Feeneyite or a Cushingite in the interpretation of  the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Cushingism is irrational and something new added to the Deposit of the Faith.Feeneyism is traditional and does not claim that we can see the dead on earth saved with the baptism of desire and who are supposedly  visible exceptions  to the need for all to convert visibly into the Cathoic Chruch in 2013.

A Feeneyite is in prefect agreement with Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church -without the Cushing error of being able to see the dead.

Pope Benedict,Archbishop  Gerhard Muller , the SSPX bishops and priests ,the sedevacantists(CMRI,MHFM) and Pontifical Univferity professors are Cushingites.

Pope Francis was a Feenyite when he said that we cannot find Jesus outside the Church. He also cited St.Ignatius of Loyola , a Feeneyite.

However he was a Cushingite in the last joint encyclical with Pope Benedict , when he stated Christians (Protestants and Orthodox Christians) have ecclesial faith.

Cushingism is heresy since it rejects the thrice defined dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, it changes the Nicence Creed  to 'I believe in three known baptisms  for the forgiveness of sin' and it rejects the Athanasius Creed with the new understanding,'Outside the the Church there is known salvation'.

It changes the Catholic teaching on morals by assuming that 'deliberate consent' and 'full knowledge ' are factors in rejecting and identifying mortal sin in general.

Catholic magisterial documents can be interpreted according to Feeneyism or Cushingism

Catholic magisterial documents can be interpreted according to Feeneyism of Cushingism and in general Catholics use the irrationality of Cushingism.

Feeneyism states that all need to convert into the Cathooic Church for salvation and thre are no known or unknown exceptions.
Cushingism states all do not need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation in the present times and there are known exceptions.

DOMINUS IESUS
Above all else, it must be firmly believed that “the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. CUSHINGISM: The orange text contradicts the text in yellow .It is assumed that thse cases are known to us in the present times. We can see the dead who are known exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus according to Fr.Leonard Feeney.

CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

"Outside the Church there is no salvation"

846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers?335 Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:

Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.-Catechism of the Catholic Church 846

FEENEYISM: The orange text does not contradict the text in yellow since the cases referred to are defacto not known to us, personally .We do not know and cannot know these cases. So they are not exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

VATICAN COUNCIL II
Therefore, all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door. Therefore those men cannot be saved, who though aware that God, through Jesus Christ founded the Church as something necessary, still do not wish to enter into it, or to persevere in it."Therefore though God in ways known to Himself can lead those inculpably ignorant of the Gospel to find that faith without which it is impossible to please Him (Heb. 11:6), yet a necessity lies upon the Church (1 Cor. 9:16), and at the same time a sacred duty, to preach the Gospel...-Ad Gentes 7

LETTER OF THE HOLY OFFICE 1949 (POPE PIUS XII)
Now, among those things which the Church has always preached and will never cease to preach is contained also that infallible statement by which we are taught that there is no salvation outside the Church.

However, this dogma must be understood in that sense in which the Church herself understands it...
Now, among the commandments of Christ, that one holds not the least place by which we are commanded to be incorporated by baptism into the Mystical Body of Christ, which is the Church, and to remain united to Christ and to His Vicar, through whom He Himself in a visible manner governs the Church on earth...

Therefore, no one will be saved who, knowing the Church to have been divinely established by Christ, nevertheless refuses to submit to the Church or withholds obedience from the Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Christ on earth.

The same in its own degree must be asserted of the Church, in as far as she is the general help to salvation. Therefore, that one may obtain eternal salvation, it is not always required that he be incorporated into the Church actually as a member, but it is necessary that at least he be united to her by desire and longing.
However, this desire need not always be explicit, as it is in catechumens; but when a person is involved in invincible ignorance God accepts also an implicit desire, so called because it is included in that good disposition of soul whereby a person wishes his will to be conformed to the will of God.

Here, too, our beloved sons and venerable brothers, it is again necessary to mention and censure a very grave error entrapping some Catholics who believe that it is possible to arrive at eternal salvation although living in error and alienated from the true faith and Catholic unity. Such belief is certainly opposed to Catholic teaching. There are, of course, those who are struggling with invincible ignorance about our most holy religion...
8. Also well known is the Catholic teaching that no one can be saved outside the Catholic Church. Eternal salvation cannot be obtained by those who oppose the authority and statements of the same Church and are stubbornly separated from the unity of the Church and also from the successor of Peter, the Roman Pontiff, to whom "the custody of the vineyard has been committed by the Savior."[4] The words of Christ are clear enough: "If he refuses to listen even to the Church, let him be to you a Gentile and a tax collector;"[5] "He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you, rejects me, and he who rejects me, rejects him who sent me;"[6] "He who does not believe will be condemned;"[7] "He who does not believe is already condemned;"[8] "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters."[9] The Apostle Paul says that such persons are "perverted and self-condemned;"[10] the Prince of the Apostles calls them "false teachers . . . who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master. . . bringing upon themselves swift destruction."-Quanto Conficiamur,Pope Pius IX,1863

FEENEYISM: The orange text does not contradict the text in yellow since the cases referred to are defacto not known to us, personally .We do not know and cannot know these cases. So they are not exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

CUSHINGISM: The orange text contradicts the text in yellow .It is assumed that thse cases are known to us in the present times. We can see the dead who are known exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus according to Fr.Leonard Feeney.

There can be only one rational interpretation of these magisterial texts. If one assumes that the text in orange is an exception to the text in yellow, it would be implying that we can see the dead saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire who are known exceptions to the text in yellow.

So the official teaching of the Catholic Church on salvation, before and after Vatican Council II has not changed-unless one is using Cushingism in the interpretation-Lionel Andrades

VATICAN OVERLOOKS PROMOTION OF REINCARNATION AT LCWR CONFERENCE

The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) organised a talk on reincarnation and this was overlooked by an American bishop, reportedly monitoring the last conference.

Sr.Ilia Delio has been speaking also in the past on reincarnation as she did at the  LCWR's recent conference.

Reincarnation is an important tenet of the New Age, the Masons, Theological Society and the Left.

The Left has been politically promoting the fantasy theology of Teilhard di Chardin, even though it has no scientific basis. The fossil on which Chardin based his theology, was discovered to be a fraud. This happened during the life time of Chardin.

However the political Left  has used this opportunity to dismiss the Judeo-Christan concept of Hell and Heaven.

According to Sr.Ilia we humans are constantly evolving  over millions of life times . We are evolving towards Perfection .

This is a concept from  Eastern religions and pagan cultures.Reincarnation is so important to the iedeological Left, that the Vatican was forced by the liberals to hold a conference  on Teilhard di Chardin, in which a cardinal participated. So the position of reincarnation by the LCWR is expected to be overlooked by the Vatican.

Even though a monitum was issued against the writings of Teilhard di Chardin in the past it is being ignored by the  Vatican under political pressure.

Similarly the Vatican had criticized the 'theology of religions' in the writings of Fr.Jacques Dupuis and had censored his book 'Towards a Christian Theology of Religious Pluralism'.Today the theology of religions is being advocated by the LCWR and  Cardinal Luiz Ladaria S.j, Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican. It can be read on the  website of the International Theological Commission in two theological papers.

It is also  promoted openly and officially at the Pontifical Gregorian  University 's new Theology of Religions Deartment, replacing traditional mission doctrine.

This was accepted by Pope Benedict XVI who agreed to the Jewish ADL etc demanding that Pope John Paul II be projected as a liberal,so that the beatification event could proceed.Negotiations with the Vatican were successful and this was reported on the ADL website.

There is no scientific basis for the theory about all of us evolving towrds an Omega point as there is also no scientific basis for evolution on which Sr.Ilia Delio speaks , since according to Charles Darwin's rationale, itself, the ape could have devolved from man, as a degenerate species.
