Mindfulness as Practice for Purity

Mindfulness as Practice for Purity
http://purityispossible.com/index.php/mindfulness-as-practice-for-purity

I liked this passage in the above article on minfulness-L.A
All day
To maintain mindfulness – and to turn off automation – all day long, we have to learn to mindfully transition from one task to another. We need to slow down a bit, and do things more deliberately. Practice opening and closing doors deliberately; practice walking more slowly; when doing menial tasks, put your whole attention into each small task: if you are folding clothes, let each item take your whole attention and put care into how you fold it.
When we do things deliberately, in a calm and recollected way, it is easy to put love into doing them. Our love for God is brought into every detail of every small action, and we do things well in order to be able to offer them to Him. When we live mindfully our life becomes a dialogue: not in words, but in actions offered with love. Living in a recollected way allows us to stay in God’s presence; it allows us to stay in the present moment, which is where we find Him.

Franciscans of the Immaculate being forced to choose the right hand side column in the interpretation of Vatican Council II : conscience issue, injustice being done

The Vatican Curia and Congregations interpret Vatican Council II using the irrational right hand side column. They expect the Franciscans of the Immaculate and the Society of St.Pius X  to also do the same i.e they are expected to praise that version of Vatican Council II, which uses the right hand column in the interpretation. It uses an irrational inference. The false premise is made.It is assumed  that the deceased- saved and now in Heaven are explicit for us, known in reality, visible in the flesh, defacto and objectively seen.
The FFI and the SSPX are already using the right hand side column in the interpretation of Vatican Council II but instead of praising the Council they correctly reject this version.
Cardinal Walter Kaspar 1 uses the right hand side column and assumes the Decree on Ecumenism(UR 3), Vatican Council II contradicts the exclusive interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus by Father Leonard Feeney. The Franciscans of the Immaculate  and the SSPX are expected to use the right hand side column which is irrational and false.Upon this irrationality they are to base the new ecumenism.
It is with this lie that the Holy Office (2014) wants the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate to accept Vatican Council to be allowed privileges granted to other Catholic religious communities which  have compromised knowingly or unknowingly. This is a conscience issue. A Catholic religious congregation has to accept an irrationality.Only then it will be granted the privilege of offering the Traditional Latin Mass and having their own seminary.

Cardinal Walter Kaspar further suggests that Pope Pius XII did not support Fr.Leonard Feeney on doctrine/dogma but condemned him. In other words Pope Pius XII also made a factual error like Cardinal Kaspar.Pope Pius XII assumed  implicit desire and being saved in invincible ignorance were explicit for us, known in reality, visible in the flesh, defacto known and objectively seen. Cardinal Kaspas and Pope Pius XII were  using  the right hand side column(2).

All salvation referred to in Vatican Council II i.e saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16), imperfect communion with the Church (UR 3),seeds of the Word (AG 11), good and holy things in other religions (NA 2) etc are either:

implicit                       or explicit for us.

hypothetical              or known in reality.

invisible                     or visible in the flesh.

dejure ( in principle) or   defacto ( in fact ).

subjective                  or objective.

So the Franciscans of the Immaculate can choose from the left hand side or the right hand side column in the interpretation of Vatican Council II and other magisterial documents.

When they  choose the right hand side column then Vatican Council II contradicts the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Syllabus of Errors and Tradition in general on other religions and Christian communities and churches. There are known exceptions in 2014 to the dogma on exclusive salvation in the Cathlic Church. The dead- saved are visible. This is irrational and the Vatican expects the Franciscans of the Immaculate to violate their conscience and proclaim this irrationality.

If the Franciscans of the Immaculate choose the left hand side column then Vatican Council II does not contradict extra ecclesiam nulla salus, nor Tradition on other religions and Christian communities and churches. They would not be rejecting Vatican Council. They would be accepting Vatican Council II interpreted with the left hand side column. They would be rejecting Vatican Council II interpreted with the right hand side column.

Most people interpret Vatican Council II with the right hand side values. The dead are assumed to be visible.

So the baptism of desire and being saved in invincible ignorance were never ever an exception to the literal interpretation of Fr.Leonard Feeney, unless one is using the right hand side column. There are no known exceptions.

Relatives and friends of the Franciscans of the Immaculate must make it known that the FFI can accept Vatican Council II without using  the irrational column. The Vatican could do the same. They could appeal to Pope Francis to do the same.
The Franciscans of the Immaculate are being forced to proclaim a falsehood.

In the course of the Council the “subsistit in” took the place of the previous “est”.[7] It contains in nuce the whole ecumenical problem.[8] The “est” claimed that the church of Christ Jesus “is” the Catholic Church. This strict identification of the church of Christ Jesus with the Catholic Church had been represented most recently in the encyclicals Mystici corporis (1943) and Humani generis (1950).[9] But even according to Mystici corporis there are people who, although they have not yet been baptised, are subsumed under the Catholic Church because that is their express desire (DS 3921).(Lionel: Cardinal Kaspar is using the right hand column here)  Therefore Pius XII had condemned an exclusive interpretation of the axiom “Extra ecclesiam nulla salus” already in 1949.(Lionel: If he did condemn it, it would mean he thought cases of those saved with implicit desire and in invincible ignorance are visible to us and so are visible exceptions to the exclusive interpretation. He would be using the right hand column.)- Cardinal Walter Kaspar, on the website of the Vatican Council for Christian Unity (comments added)

Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity claims Pope Pius XII condemned the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus :suggests those in invincible ignorance are explicitly known to us and so contradicts the dogma

Qaradawi, al-Azhar denounce Islamic State as un-Islamic

By on Jul 7, 2014

Qaradawi2014The title of caliph, Qaradawi said, “can ‘only be given by the entire Muslim nation’ not by a single group.” Yet that is completely ahistorical. The title of caliph has never in Islamic history been “given by the entire Muslim nation.” Caliphates have always been established by a single group that had the military might to force a large segment of the Muslim community to accept its claim. And Sheikh Abbas Shuman of al-Azhar says: “The Islamic caliphate can’t be restored by force.” Yet historically, every caliphate has been established by force. If the Islamic State can survive and become a viable state, it will be recognized by more Muslims. In the eyes of many, its survival will establish its legitimacy, and its early demise will show it to be un-Islamic.
“Sunni cleric says Iraq caliphate violates Sharia,” AFP, July 5, 2014:
DOHA: Sunni Muslim religious scholar Yusef al-Qaradawi said on Saturday that the declaration of an Islamic caliphate by militants fighting the governments in Syria and Iraq violates Sharia law.
Last Sunday, the militants declared an “Islamic caliphate” in areas they control in Iraq and Syria and ordered Muslims worldwide to pledge allegiance to their leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Qatar-based Qaradawi, seen as a spiritual guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in his native Egypt, said in a statement that the declaration “is void under Sharia“.
“We look forward to the coming, as soon as possible, of the caliphate,“ Qaradawi said, of the form of pan-Muslim government last seen under the Ottoman Empire.
“But the declaration issued by the Islamic State is void under Sharia and has dangerous consequences for the Sunnis in Iraq and for the revolt in Syria,“ he added.
The influential cleric said the declaration and nomination of Baghdadi by a militant group “known for its atrocities and radical views” fail to meet strict conditions dictated by Sharia.
The title of caliph, he said, can “only be given by the entire Muslim nation” not by a single group.
Since last Sunday, other leading Muslim figures have denounced the announcement by the Islamic State, which was previously known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
A caliphate is fundamentally a universal Islamic state ruled by a single leader with both political and religious authority.
Many Sunnis associate the caliphate with a golden age of Islam, but the declaration made by the Islamic State has triggered indignation among those who see it as heresy.
Al-Azhar, the top authority of Sunni Islam, “believes that all those who are today speaking of an Islamic State are terrorists,” senior representative Sheikh Abbas Shuman said earlier this week.
“The Islamic caliphate can’t be restored by force. Occupying a country and killing half of its population … This is not an Islamic state, this is terrorism,” he said.
In Saudi Arabia, bastion of Sunni Islam and home to the religion’s holiest places, Al-Riyadh daily ripped the caliphate as being “no more than one person heading a terrorist organisation“. Rebels in Syria, who have been battling the militants who have infuriated many by their brutality, have branded the caliphate announcement as “null and void”.
Jordanian Al-Qaeda cleric Issam Barqawi, known as Abu Mohammed al-Maqdessi, also denounced it, warning it will lead to more bloodshed.

India’s Supreme Court: Islamic courts have no legal authority in India

By on Jul 7, 2014

India Supreme CourtThis is a good, common-sense decision: there should be one legal code that applies to all citizens, with no special rights for particular groups or parallel legal systems. Introducing parallel systems inevitably leads to a conflict of authority between the two legal codes, as we are beginning to see, and will soon see much more of, in Britain.

“Court: Islamic law holds no legal sway in India,” by Nirmala George, Associated Press, July 7, 2014 (thanks to all who sent this in):
NEW DELHI (AP) — Islamic courts have no legal authority in India, the country’s Supreme Court ruled Monday, saying Muslims cannot be legally subject to a parallel religious authority.
Individuals may abide by Shariah court rulings if they wish, but cannot be legally forced to do so, Judge C. K. Prasad said.
“No religion is allowed to curb anyone’s fundamental rights,” he told the court, giving the decision of a two-judge bench. Indian law does not recognize Shariah court rulings, he said.
The court was responding to a petition filed in 2005 by a lawyer who said the Shariah courts should be disbanded for running a parallel judicial system in a country with 150 million Muslims among its 1.2 billion population.
Islamic courts wielded considerable influence in Muslim-dominated areas, and people often felt powerless to oppose their rulings, the petitioner Vishwa Lochan Madan argued.
The Supreme Court rejected Madan’s request to disband the Shariah courts, saying there was no point if their “fatwas” — or edicts — had no legal sanction. People were still free, however, to voluntarily consult an Islamic court for arbitration in personal matters.
Muslim leaders denounced the ruling, and encouraged India’s Muslims to continue to consult the Shariah courts on issues like marriage, divorce or inheritance.
“This is a malicious propaganda which is going on against religious beliefs,” said Kamal Farooqi, a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. “We are for Shariah courts, and we are spreading it all over the country.”
India has a judicial system inherited from British colonial rulers, but has long allowed different religious communities leeway in handling their own personal issues and disputes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his new government, led by the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, had promised during its election campaign to bring a common legal code for all Indians.
Madan’s petition had cited as an example a case in which a Muslim woman was raped by her father-in-law. A Shariah court ordered her marriage annulled and demanded she live with her father-in-law. The case caused outrage in India after the court ordered the mother of five children to leave her husband.

Muslim burns Quran

Dearborn: Muslim confesses to burning Qur’ans at Islamic center

By on Jul 7, 2014
al-AssadiLast month, the Imam Husham al-Husainy used the Qur’ans burned at the Karbalaa Center to call for Sharia restrictions on the freedom of speech. Now it turns out that the Qur’ans were burned by Ali Hassan Al-Assadi, a Muslim who was angry with people at the local mosques and says he burned the Qur’ans in retribution. Al-Husainy, sensing his “Islamophobia” narrative crumbling, claims without any evidence or foundation that “Islamophobes” were behind al-Assadi’s actions anyway. In any case, whatever al-Assadi’s motives, his actions certainly served al-Husainy’s anti-free speech agenda. Now the poor imam is bereft.
“Iraqi American man arrested while burning Qur’an in Dearborn,” by Ali Harb, Arab American News, July 4, 2014 (thanks to Halal Pork Shop):
DEARBORN — On Wednesday June 25, police arrested an Iraqi American who was trying to burn the Qur’an in front of the Karbalaa Islamic Educational Center on Warren Avenue.
Ali Hassan Al-Assadi, 50, of Detroit, also admitted to burning three Qur’ans at the Karbalaa Center on June 10, according to Lt. Doug Topolski of the Dearborn Police Department.
The first Qur’an burning incident coincided with the visit of an anti-Muslim pastor from Florida and made national headlines.
Al-Assadi was charged with littering and “unlawful escape of soot.” Releasing soot, an ash-like substance produced by the incomplete burning of organic items, breaches Dearborn’s fire code. He posted bonds of $300 and $200, respectively, for the two violations.
Al-Assadi told police that he sought help from local mosques to solve a legal matter, but when he was turned down, he became angry at the faith and decided to burn Qur’ans in retribution.
On June 25, around noon, Al-Assadi was standing on the sidewalk in front of Karbalaa Center, holding a wooden club. A Qur’an was burning on the ground next to him. According to the police report, he threatened to strike a witness with the club if he came closer. Meanwhile, another witness took the club away from him and put the fire out.
Imam Husham Al-Husainy, the spiritual leader of the Karbalaa Center, said he does not know Al-Assadi. “He never asked for my help. I have never met him,” he said.
Al-Husainy added that he does not think Al-Assadi is acting on his own.
“Regardless of his identity, he has the same motives and goals as the anti-Islamic extremists,” explained Al-Husainy. “Some people say he is mentally unstable. But we have been here at the center for 20 years and never witnessed anything like this. Why now? This could be a continuation of the failed visit of Terry Jones.”
Jones is the anti-Muslim pastor from Florida. The imam said he has information linking Jones’ supporters to the June 10 incident.
He added that the Qur’an burnings aim to divide the interfaith community in Dearborn and to distract Arabs from the turmoil that is taking place in their homelands.
“This is not a work of madness,” he said. “It is a deliberate plan to keep us busy and distracted here at a time when our people are being killed in Iraq and across the Arab world.”
However, the imam added that the anti-Islamic events that took place over the past month have failed to stir conflicts because locals of all faiths stood in solidarity with Muslims. “They gave us an incentive to be united as one community,” he said.
Al-Husainy said Al-Assadi, whose name suggests he was born to a Muslim family, is not known in the local Iraqi community.
“He cannot be a Muslim,” said Al-Husainy. “No Muslim would ever do something like this.”

Malaysia: Muslim leaders report politician to police for insulting Islam

By on Jul 6, 2014

orok1This is the kind of thing we will see in the U.S. in the not-too-distant future if the current trend of ascribing all counter-terror efforts and criticism of jihad terror and Islamic supremacism to “Islamophobia” and “hatred” continues. Prosecutions for “hate speech,” i.e. opposing jihad terror, are the next step.

“Action urged over David Orok’s alleged insult to Islam,” Bernama, July 6, 2014 (thanks to Twostellas):
KOTA KINABALU: Authorities have been urged to take firm action against David Orok for insulting Islam and the Prophet Muhammad in a post on his Facebook page recently.
Beaufort MP Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun, who is also Wanita Sabah Islamic Organisation (Usia) chief, said insulting the prophet could trigger hatred and anger among the people in Sabah and Malaysia in general.
“In Sabah, there are over 30 ethnic groups professing different religions. A family may consist of members of various religions but they live in peace and harmony,” she said in a statement.
Azizah said the statement by Orok could divide the people or destroy the harmony of communities in Sabah.
Orok, a State Reform Party (Star) member, courted controversy by allegedly insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad on his Facebook page recently.
Meanwhile, Sepanggar Umno Youth chief Ramlan Awal gave Orok seven days to explain his post and a make public apology for hurting the feelings of Muslims.
He said the Sepanggar Umno Youth division had also made a police report against Orok.
Another police report was lodged by the Coalition of Sabah Muslim NGOs Council (Concerns) against Orok on Saturday. – Bernama
