BORN IN THE MARIAN YEAR!

I often walk along a road near the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Wall. It is a pleasure to look at the building on the corner, when I wait for the traffic light to turn green  at a road crossing. There is a painting  on the wall of the building. Our Lady carrys the Infant Jesus.  It is also written proudly in the Marian Year 1954.The  building is renovated and kept well. It doesn’t look as old as me.

Born in the Marian year!

My aunt Phil told me that for two years Luke and Maggie, my parents, did not have a child. Then I was born. The first born. The only son.I was born in the Marian year!

I was born a few years after a wide spread heresy was developed in the Catholic Church. I grew up with priest friends telling me Fr.Leonard Feeney was excommunicated for heresy. Later I realized this was not true. Later they told me that those in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire were exceptions to the dogma. Only a few years back I realised that this was not true.

The rosary is still my staple prayer. I repeat it often. It’s a prayer anchor when I am busy with many things. It s an aid to contemplation when there are no words but just loving attention.

Devotion to Our Lady was strong since I was a young. I remember joining my grandmother and aunt in praying the evening rosary, repeating during the Litany of Loreto "prayperus, prayperus". Later as I grew up I learnt there was no such word.

Some 15 or 20 years back I read the book True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis Marie di Montfort .I made the consecration. A few years back with a Legion of Mary group in a parish  in Rome I browsed through the Italian version of the book.

In the consecration I pledged that all that I do and have I offer it to Jesus through Our Lady. Al that I have and do I offer it to Our Lady to do with it as she wishes.I invited Her into my heart and then with Her pure heart I invited Jesus.

I did all that and lived over the years with a strong devotion and love for Our Lady, not knowing, that I was born in the Marian Year !!.

PRIESTS WHO OFFER MASS IN ITALIAN AFFIRM THE DOGMA OUTSIDE THE CHURCH NO SALVATION AND KNOW THAT THE BAPTISM OF DESIRE IS IMPLICIT : Most Holy Monastery sedevacantists caution against the Novus Ordo Mass

According to the Most Holy Family Monastery (MHFM) website a Catholic should not attend the Novus Ordo Mass until the priest believes in Outside the Church There is No Salvation (1).

However here in Rome there are Catholic priests who offer Mass in Italian. They affirm the dogma in public. They also correctly assume that the baptism of desire is implicit and so does not contradict the dogma.

The MHFM on the contrary imply that the baptism of desire is defacto known to us and so being explicit contradicts the dogma. So the sedevancantists reject the baptism of desire. They believe every one with no exception needs to enter the Church visiblly and they imply that the baptism of desire taught by Trent etc is an exception to the dogma.

Those who accept the baptism of desire (explicit or implicit) are called heretics by the MHFM. However there are priests from different countries here, who know that the baptism of desire can only be implicit and is never visible. So how can it be an exception to the dogma ?

If the MHFM, American sedevancantists, innocently, like so many Catholics assume that the baptism of desire is visible it is understandable. If they continue in this error even after being informed then it is heresy. This would apply also to  Catholic non-sedevacantists They are rejecting the Council of Trent on the baptism of desire and they assume wrongly  that the baptism of desire is an exception to the dogma.

Daphne McLeod,Chairman of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, England says there can be non Catholics saved with the baptism of desire and in invincible ignorance and this is not an exception to the dogma Outside the Church There is No Salvation.-Lionel Andrades

Hello- I read most of your article about the new mass and how it is invalid. What are we to do? All the churches are doing the same thing? Does this mean the Latin masses are also invalid? This is very disturbing. Where are we to go? Thank you.
Lynn Adams California

MHFM : It means that you must not go to the New Mass. The Latin Masses in the diocese can also be problematic because many of the priests were ordained in the invalid New Rite of Ordination. We can help people with options for traditional sacraments. However, before receiving sacraments, one must reach the point where one is committed never to attend the New Mass again, believes in Outside the Church There is No Salvation without exception (no “baptism of desire”), rejects NFP, won’t support any heretical priests, etc. That’s explained in this file: Where to go to Mass or confession today?. People should also make the traditional profession of faith from the Council of Trent, which can be accessed from the aforementioned file. Once a person is convinced on all relevant matters, we can help that person with possible locations for receiving sacraments. We also recommend people to pray the Rosary each day, all 15 decades if possible.-E-Exchanges
